    so im doing some laundry and the washer becomes unblanced, but I cant open the lid cause its locked tight, who thought of that crap, F it, it came with the house and I have another perfectly good one in the garage

      Yep, happened to us tonight as well! We have a new fangled washer like that too. lol

      there is no buttons only a knob, and If I cycle it to off it remains locked, I have to restart the whole wash cycle, stop it and advance it to spin again, its mind bogglingly stupid

      My LG washer has a PAUSE button. Very useful, you can pause the cycle, add more items etc.
