    LED Mod

its the current that matters, so yes if a led is setup for X current at Y voltage with Z resistor then changing any of those values will result in more or less light being produced, but it probably wont effect lifespan as its a diode junction, its either on or its not (until you get into LED's that start producing measurable heat, or your letting too much current pass, which produces heat)

    LED Mod

I use 330 ohm for a red led modern leds even the basic ones are quite bright
  7. I use solvant welding sci-grip #4 But it wont work if glue has already been applied
  8. I co-developed thin FR4 flex boards with my work, so its on the list
  9. I am still making them, its a quantitiy of 40 and since its by hand, and I have limited shop time .., soon
  10. I never tried the best boards so I cant comment or contrast tween the two other than its a different approach
  11. yea, having glide API is making them desirable, in comparision to an ATI Rage or Nvidia TNT... there were a lot of games from the eraly days that give you 2 choices 3dFx or software and even later on glide often looked better than open GL or directX (or looked the same and ran smoother)
  12. Is it getting ac or dc input (it needs to be dc)
  13. I have windows 10 on my core 2 quad laptop, its at 2.8 ghz 4 gigs ddr 2 ram, intel graphics it does very well... after you wait for freaking ever for it to boot and settle down, and it was great for work trips cause my work computer used to be a 3/4 ton 17 inch alienware with its included 1/2 ton power lunch box I got tired of dragging that thing around airports and in and out of electronics labs so I got our IT to put the VPN stuff on my c2 quad but yea once I got to where I was going, let it boot and never let it shut down until I got home (luckily now we have new laptops which I can hold in one hand without breaking my wrist lol) BACK to the point, emulation machines you generally want to push a button and by the time you sit down be selecting a game or darn near it, stripped out lean and mean linuxes can do it on a potato pi but you gotta either know or be prepared to learn the near bleeding edge to optimise it, or choose a platform that is popular enough to do it for you (and let me tell you lakka is no retropi, and if anyone can get retropi x86 to actually function fully without loading the full blown desktop OS, thus nullifying the point of a stand alone thing then I'll send you one internet cookie) windows 7 or a full blown linux distro is going to be easier to handle but its going to take its time loading up stuff you wont ever use, just depends on a what you expect type of thing
  14. you gotta watch some screwball / older hardware when trying to do a linux retroarch / lakka / whatever thing, there's a permanent dent in my desk from my head fussing with getting all that shit working on my intel chipset, intel cpu, intel graphics netbook icade conversion just a heads up its a bit different than slapping it on an i5 or even a core 2 when your starting to talk some of these ultra lean setups
  15. Well if someone says make an offer I won't even bother unless it's something I want, then in that case I have a general idea of what the item would sell for and how much I am willing to pay Then I spout out how much I am willing to pay minus 10-20 bucks
  16. cheapest option from poland to USA, I don't even think that times has to be clearly stated, its half way across the friggin planet
  17. I ordered a memory upgrade from someone else in poland ... pleasantly surprised it got here in 2 weeks and a few days, I was expecting at least 3-4 weeks what a doucher, I cant imagine the living nightmare hell it must be for them to wait for christmas or their birthday
  18. there's a few controller boards back in stock I got another 40 in the works
  19. there's a few back in stock I got another 40 in the works
  20. been a sub to your channel a number of years, unfortunately I dont have any pictures of my old gear, 1998-2006 were my mod heavy years but those were mostly client stuff where it was do it clean and fast so I can get paid and make rent I did have a little pizza box P3 compaq that the case was a 3 sided window mod and everything inside was UV painted (with CCFL's of course) that I kept for many years (mostly as a "server") but looking around do not have any good pictures of (more like what the hell is that radio active light blob in the background pictures not of the machine itself) for what its worth your 1999 series got me a bit itchy again as I am sitting here collecting parts for a upper middle class ryzen, which at this point everything around the core computer itself has a custom touch on it ... actually the only things that are not on the tweak list is the motherboard and the cpu itself... everything else has something different from stock. Ill post about it on instructables sometime in february which is my goal line
