if you request to be notified on my webshop you will know when there is more before I have a chance to post here I ordered another 20 boards, if demand keeps up though the holidays I will do another batch of 40, I did kind of want some feedback before spending money on a second batch, hince the 2 week delay in reality once I can judge demand I could keep up gap free until "the new" wears off (which happens in an item like this) -

Job's didnt kill it off, he tried to and got booted from the company, and it proceeded to be the money maker until the late 80's then finally killed off in 1992 like 6 years after Job's packed his shit you saw what it could do, its blessing the 6502 was also a bit of a curse as its 16 bit upgrade was a Mustang II of a chip and everyone except the IIGS and SNES went 68K instantly killing the direct n smooth upgrade path (meanwhile intel's to this day will still run MS DOS from a og IBM PC) -

That is interesting I looked at the old stock samples I have and compared them to the new ones ... with guessing sticks calipers I was getting 62-63 thousandths thickness on both so I broke out the micrometer and a low of 61.4 and a high of 62.8 thousandths of an inch that's not a huge difference and 0.062 (1.6mm) is your bog standard circuit board thickness In fact if I go one standard size up or down it nearly triples the price, let alone start dictating custom stack-up tolerances, so at the moment no I have no thoughts (other than gently crimping the connectors closed with pliers ... which doesnt help if they break ) -
I can look, I have a mini radio shack at home but its not something I keep a stock of (I know I have some tiny surface mount one's but I dont think those would bridge the span)

yes for now, I should have some more in roughly 2 weeks Thanks

its a composite output only, though the driver can handle 3 signals since its for component ( I have a different board that takes luma and chroma in and vomits out svideo and composite which is what the UAV and longhorn mods do ... just havent developed it further than the one protoboard in my 65XE) I primarily use those in 2600 systems but any system you see a mod board with a transistor and a couple three resistors can use it Personally I have used it with 2600 Coleco Gemini 7800 GI pong systems NES (not that it made that big of a difference on a toaster but its good for a NES slim)

I have a handful of little projects and whatnot that interests this community ... but its been dreadful to manage full time via private messages + spreadsheets over time and listing stuff on ebay pretty much zaps any hope of making a return so I opened Osgeld's Mod Shop, which handles my random brain on crap assorted goods I think people would like to buy, but I dont want to manage manually. At the moment there's only a few items for sale, world wide shipping based on weight is available, but there's more to come Right now there are Atari 2600 CX40 tactile switch drop in replacement boards Generic snap dome switch 10 packs 6 pack choose a color switch dust cover replacements In the future I am considering... Universal FMS6363 video buffer/filter/amp boards which I have been using in systems for years, on every atari I have sold + other systems SNES super CIC (SNES region free) mod board SNES 240p component kits Switchless Sega Genesis region mod board Sega Genesis overclock kit that allows you to place the switch anydarn where you please (I developed this over the summer, typical mods require very short wires) SIO2SD embedded ... either kit or core pcb add your own buttons, lcd, sd (main pcb is 50x36 mm, so its real easy to fit in whatever including an Atari 400 / 800) Basic Dual Pokey board (pokey chips not included) 2600 track ball tactile switch replacement pcb's 7800 controller tactile switch replacement pcb's 5200 controller tactile switch replacement flex circuits none of that is concrete as of now, but I have actually done most of it already and that list is based on my "diggin though the boxes" out in the garage this is just a place for me to list random things I do, with less personal maintenance and time, I will update as more stuff comes online .... as far as complete systems go, I still plan on posting here first, waiting a week or 2 then ebay for max exposure anyway thanks for looking!

well if you want to send me one of the button boards I can look into the feasibility of it (I can send it back pretty quick) back to these, how do they play ... pretty good IMO but I have conflict of interest they are clicky and you can feel that though the plastic, its not overly clicky but its there, the joystick and fire button dead zones are same as stock since the buttons are of the same height, it doesnt take much pressure to actuate so it feels lighter but its still intentional control, your not going to shake it and have it register, I am happy with it, hopefully others are as well -

If its not too out of whack it should work fine, and there is no mods that need to be done to the fire button I did run into a problem with the models of CX10 that use the flat metal leaf springs though, the centers line up on the boards, but the black plastic part is offset by a quarter inch and does not actuate the switch. now there is another model using the black plate and uses snap domes, I have a picture of its PCB (to scale) and it also lines up with the board but I don't know if the plastic part is the same so this wont work with some CX10's and maybe not any of them ... if anyone has both styles and wants to compare black plastic plates please chime in but until then I have to retract a claim !!TO SUMMARIZE THESE WILL ONLY WORK IN NEWER JOYSTICKS WITHOUT THE BLACK PLASTIC SPACER AND SPRINGS!! meantime I am building up a batch and will throw it up on a store (cause managing sales of a limited product though PM is crazy when there is decent interest) sometime this weekend and will update this thread Thanks everyone -

cml is a large scale (like bob wants to know how many hundred thousand boards a year you plan on buying) circuit board maker the little brokers you see on line work with the big boys to toss designs onto empty space of master panels to recover waste and cost -

DHL tracking came in, they will be out of china tonight I have never used this broker before, ALLPCB but they have good reviews. Typically the places I go give a MUCH better per unit price, but by the time you add in postage for snail mail they only come out slightly cheaper and these guys are doing DHL "for free" ... adding in DHL shipping from my normal places makes them more expensive I have pretty good confidence, any of these small order china shops are pretty much all made at the same 3-4 big fab houses, I have confronted our CML rep at work about it before like hey how come you want X per board but I can get it from a web broker for 10% less, btw how's the new Mercedes lol -

the switch actuation is 160gf but keep in mind that is at the end of a leaver so do that math, its late and I dont want to it will, but keep in mind the distance from top of button to contact pad in a stock joystick is 0.55mm ish, and these buttons are sitting in a plastic base of X thickness ... I have made some joysticks in the past that literally blowing on them would register a movement... it was annoying -

yes all one has to do is open the controller, remove the old board and place the new board in and its good to go (of course unplug and replug the wires) -

anything is possible, I have never had a CX22 so I don't know what they look like The switches you reference in that thread though are similar to the one's I am using, those range from 0.55 to 0.65 thickness, the models I am using are a different model in the same family from 0.3 to 0.6 (I think) but ever so slightly larger diameter
