Mr Diaz, maybe your in a situation cause you thought nothing of throwing 300 + dollars down the toilet hoping a company that to date has produced zero hardware, despite numerous attempts, will somehow not fail this time.

What is your retro computing most "irrational want?"
Osgeld replied to rpiguy9907's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
lol I do this all the time with system's, I have more fun fixing them than using them as far as the apple II I grew up with one, and when it left I never looked back, until I did so I had a //c for about 7 years then I sold it a couple years ago, it has its charms, IMO as a productivity computer its one of the best, but now day's im not using it to write papers and keep the budget up to date, I want something goofy and fun like an Atari or Commodore that plays advanced space shooter and demos n shit -
its a router with storage options, its actually quite convenient , welcome to 2009 😛

Service Offered: Sega Game Gear Repair
Osgeld replied to the.golden.ax's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I have done a ton of game gears in the past, and yea its a total gamble and I never do it on people's personal machines there's just so much that can and will go wrong on handheld systems, let alone old arse ones left in a shoebox, when it comes to it I rather buy a random machine off ebay and fix it up then sell it At least then if its not working out its a cheap learning experience, vs someone's precious "aunt gertrude gave this to me brand new when I was 7 and she had to sell her hair to afford it, and now you took my money and didnt make it a post 2000's HD system" -
yea like the volcano taco's

how is my mom going to watch netflix on that?

Oh come on man, they are not that competent, the train of dumpster fire will plow through the station, derail though a hot glue factory, and explode in a nail and staple warehouse. But in no one gives a shit .. population a few pigeons
-
wait a sec, if we mush them into one machine we get a playbox I personally can't stand the newer machine names "playstation one pro new S x DS lite" like what the hell am I buying I just want to play games, not spec a freaking PC

Flojomojo... you obviously do not know there is only 1 model of ryzen made and since the worlds most powerful console ever is using it all things must be equal! I havent used a 1000 apu so I cant comment, but I cant imagine it being anything more hefty than a netbook or cpu on a stick class computer, even the full blown low end desktop class APU like the 2300G is not even that strong for games, like old e-sports titles running 720p at lowest settings at 40FPS not strong

What to do with a Pentium 4 computer?
Osgeld replied to cbmeeks's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
yea and 98 ended support in 2002 so if you average gamer wanting a 98 box that dual boots into xp realisticly you can expect stuff to be SOL 1-2 years after XP was introduced, which puts you in the sub 2 ghz range of XP machines which is not enough horsepower to run something like half life 2 at which point you have to ask, is it worth having a power hungry cap timebomb machine that MAY just MAY play some late era windows 98 games while not being able to play the vast majority of win XP games or just find a 50$ PIII laptop ... that will probally perform just as well as a P4 in win98 applications and leave all the post 2003 era shit to a modern computer, you will be blown away playing psyconauts on a modern HD machine anyway and by modern I mean within the last 10-15 years which ill give you one for the price of postage, my stupid 2008 era garage computer can play GTA4 in low quality at 720p while whipping the shit out of a P4 extreme and being just as incompatible with 98 -
What to do with a Pentium 4 computer?
Osgeld replied to cbmeeks's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
no not all xp machines will have drivers available for 98, there's a ton of difference from a machine in the 97-2001 era vs 2011 -

8 yes, 10 ... its like they took the best of 7 and the worst of XP least 10's search isnt functionally useless (what kind of file is it, where is it located, when was it modified what is part of the filename, what do you want to search for ... 25 min and 30 mouse clicks later, no search results... ITS A EFFIN TEXT FILE ON MY DESKTOP!) -

does anyone really enjoy that? XP is truely a garbage OS that people only love due to it being around their entire childhood or stockholm syndrome it was piggy when it came out and did nothing better than 2k, it held back any modern hardware it was installed on when it died, and it had more holes than swiss cheese which just made it run even slower when they plugged another cork in the rotting corpse but it had that useless fugly UI and that down syndrome dog going for it -
I had one last friday, I cant resist a taco
-
mmm beef flavored paste in a taco shelll dipped in the fry machine actually the one I had was pretty gross for a taco, buck twenty five I can get one from the taco stand down the street where only one person speaks english and its real deal mexico city style and I have better confidence there, the EMS ambulance drivers are always there chowing down like mad, if the people saving your life are a regular at a place its probably a good bet the food is safe (much like the "sketchy" looking BBQ place that the fire fighters go to once or more a week)
-
ok I have to ask since I dont live in a city with a large pigeon population, its the bread necklace a common thing... seems that way but ya know ... internet
