  1. Hi, thanks for the post. If I'm not mistaken, the OSN came as 2 4K eproms or 1 8K. These would fit in the RAMROD OS board along with the Fastchip and you could also use another ROM for that 4K block of unused memory at C000. I believe that is what Omnimon fills. The actual ROM dumps for OSN are on this forum, however, I don't have an eprom burner or the experience to make my own eproms so that's why I was hoping someone had a spare to sell. I suppose I may have to try and take the plunge though and make an attempt. Seems these are pretty rare! I don't really know if you can actually make a "Fastchip" though.
  2. Wow, yeah, pretty nice looking! Have never seen that before. People will be sorry they didn't pledge on this Kickstarter when the Amiga Reloaded is made and they don't have a nice new case to place it into
  3. Yes, sorry! I have a bare Newell RAMROD board (MMOS) for the Atari 800. Seems like a waste sitting there not being used For the XL, I know B&C still has those ROMs for sale or at least they did.
  4. Yes, looking forward to getting one of those as well!
  5. Ah thanks, I was thinking Amiga Technologies and ESCOM were different, but it looks like they were the same.
  6. The big benefit for me with the Reloaded is that it comes configured PAL. Not sure about you, but I only own NTSC. Been wanting to get a PAL 64 for a while now. Of course you can make it NTSC if you don't want a PAL board.
  7. I'm looking for a Newell OSN ROM and a Fastchip for a RAMROD MMOS (blank) board for an 800. Would anyone have an extra they wouldn't mind selling? I believe I could just put my stock ROM and math chip on there I suppose, but would like the Newell stuff if possible. I know this stuff is kind of rare, but doesn't hurt to ask, maybe the right person will happen to be checking the forums Thanks.
  8. Yeah, me too. And a 64 Reloaded board to put in it Maybe the original molds for the A1200 will appear for sale. I think the last run was made in France anyway, or was Germany the last run? Not sure. My A1200 says "Made in France".
  9. Yeah, but the end goal is still at the same $135,316 with only 254 backers and currently at $44,887 with 16 days left. Going to take something drastic I think to get there. I was looking back at the Kickstarter for the C64C cases: "797 backers pledged $94,776 to help bring this project to life."
  10. I did some rough math, I may be wrong, but it looks like we would need about 1055 more people to sign up in 16 days at $86 US each. I don't think they are going to reach the funding goal this time unfortunately.
  11. Hmm, OK. I've got a breadbin I use mine with but it's a newer breadbin version. Have not had an issue like that and I run mine without a real drive and just the 2 jiffydos bin's on the SD card.
  12. Apologize if I'm stating the obvious, but you have both the 8k jiffy dos rom bin AND the jiffy dos 1541 16 k bin on the SD card right? You need both of course to get it to work if you are just using the internal drives of the 1541U2. I think it was stated you should be using the jiffy dos 1541II rom on it.
  13. I feel the same way really. I personally don't need one, just would be nice to put that new iComp Reloaded board in there if it gets produced. I truly feel the price point is what is keeping people from backing, it's quite a bit for just a plastic case.
  14. Now they need just $95,000 more in 19 days I may up my pledge for another.
  15. Hyperboy, I was looking at your avatar and thinking, "where do I know that from?" and then I realized, H.R. PufnStuf
  16. Hi, I don't have an SX-64, but you *can* modify the drive numbers that you use from within the 1541 Ultimate II config screens. Just leave the SX-64 drive alone and configure the 1541U2 as 9 or something (It can emulate 2 drives). You'll also need an IEC cable to fit down to the back of the machine of course.
  17. If anyone is considering backing, I probably wouldn't wait too much longer. By my calculations they have 20 days to make $98,000 and it doesn't look like it will happen. Unless of course everyone is waiting until the last minute to put their pledge in
  18. I like my 500 as well, but have recently taken the plunge with the 1200 as that is the machine everyone suggests getting these days. I wonder if the 500 is still the most popular (or most sold) after taking into account the later manufacturing runs of the 1200 in Europe etc.. I believe there were what, 2 companies that produced the 1200 after the limited run that Commodore did? I know in the US the 500 was of course more popular than the rest of the models or again, maybe the most sold model.
  19. And new keyboards or key caps as well. Now that the supply of NOS keyboards is gone from Amigakit, this will be a good thing.
  20. I think the one thing that may be putting people off is the cost. For those of us from the US, it's about $86 I think. That's quite a bit for a piece of plastic With this Kickstarter he has to build entirely new moulds so I guess that's the main cost factor right there.
  21. I figured I would post this here to increase the exposure. If he doesn't get 700 more backers soon, the Kickstarter will not be funded in this first round I guess. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/a1200housing/new-a1200-housings-pressed-from-new-molds
  22. Nice, yep, that will do it! I'm with you on that, I also have a bunch of orphaned power supplies to choose from
  23. Looks good! I see you opted for the tape adapter too. Only thing you are missing now is the ethernet adapter for it. Nice red case too!
  24. Well, it's not that much difference in price really. The "Commodore 128/ CGA Video DAC Board" is $47 + shipping and then a couple plastic pieces from DigiKey. The other listed by RobertB will be $50 + shipping and you don't need the DigiKey part. In both cases you still need a Gonbes GBS-8220 with a power supply. The GBS-8220 comes with the wires that you connect to these devices.
  25. This is not the same guy as listed above, but you still might be able to buy some from this guy: http://he-insanity.blogspot.com/2014/03/commodore-128-cga-video-dac-board.html You'll still need a GBS-8220 with a power supply and will also need a connector for the 8220. I wouldn't mind picking up a few from the guy RobertB posted about though because connection is far simpler since you don't need to buy and worry about connectors.
