  1. That looks like a machine from that guy "Tezza's" collection. I think he lives in New Zealand. I've never actually seen one of these myself.
  2. Fantastic! Glad you got it working.
  3. Ah, OK. I always use TRS32 in windowed mode, so that might be one reason I've never seen it.
  4. Have a look at this page, I think it will answer your questions: http://www.trs-80.org/exatron-stringy-floppy/ Do you have the esf.rom for it (to use with the emulator)?
  5. Yep, that's it! Those games were simplistic, but still fun. I didn't really play too many games on them back then because it was a school computer. They were primarily used to learn BASIC (along with the Atari 400). We did manage to sneak a game in now and then though while the teacher was busy. I think maybe Stellar Escort was another game, along with Galaxy Invasion and Super Nova. Those Big Five games were the only games I knew about on the TRS-80.
  6. Boy, it's hard to remember that far back, but I believe my first game on the TRS-80 Model 1 was Cosmic Fighter (on tape) by BigFive.
  7. I completely forgot about CrossOver for the Mac. Not sure I want to go that route though but at least it's an option. I'm sure Atari800MacX is fine for my purposes too. I'm only a part-time Mac user really. I use a lot of Windows based emulators to limit the actual running time of my real hardware. Thanks for the information.
  8. I'm sure you can find all those here: http://www.theoldcomputer.com/
  9. Thanks for the reply. It was my understanding that Atari800MacX was the port of Atari800 for Mac OS X. I suppose I'll have to look into it further. I think maybe they ported it to use Cocoa (OS X native API) vice SDL. Doesn't seem to be that many people here who use it, so I'll just haver to give it a go and see how it is Maybe Atari800 will compile directly on the Mac, I haven't actually tried that yet.
  10. I'm normally a Windows 7 user with Altirra for my Atari 800 emulator, but I also own a Mac Mini. I'm trying to find alternatives for the emulators I use on Windows and learned about Atari800MacX. Does anyone have experience with this emulator? It doesn't seem to have been updated in a while. Would like to know what others think about it before I waste a lot of time with it. Thanks.
  11. Check out TRSTools for Windows also by Matthew Reed: http://www.trs-80emulators.com/#Utilities And to answer the question on where to get disk images, I use this place: http://www.theoldcomputer.com/ Hope this helps you out!
  12. I can't answer that part, but I can say Best Electronics has brand new (old stock) printer mechanisms for sale still. Or at least they did when I got my 820 in June of 2014: 1 820 Printer Mechanism CA014701 U$D 29.95 1 820 Atari US Field Service Manual 82 pages FD100048 U$D 20.00 I'm afraid they don't have the plastic cases though.
  13. Right, I know what you mean! You should be able to use a Windows (USB) joystick with the emulator as well, although I haven't actually tried it yet. I just use the keyboard.
  14. Wow awesome! Have fun with it!! I should note that the model3.rom I posted is from that emulator in the posts I made above. While it seems to work, I can't guarantee it any further because I'm not sure where it came from. The ROMs I use with TRS32 are copied from my real TRS-80s and I don't own a Model III unfortunately.
  15. Ah, OK. I mentioned in one of my posts above where to get it. Here is a copy from that location though: model3.rom
  16. Cool, OK. I believe your problem now is that those disks are for a Model III. You had mentioned a Model III initially, so that is what I provided for you. Put your model3.rom in the directory, change the "Computer:" to Model III, Level II and then try those disk images again. TRS-DOS 1.3 is Model III only. Model III can read Model I disks, but not the opposite.
  17. No, I use Windows 7 64-bit myself. I see you still have Model 1, Level 1 selected (see lower left corner of TRS32 window). Choose Model I, Level II, under Options > Configuration > Computer:
  18. Looking at your screen shot again, I see you have selected a Model 1, Level 1. I'm not sure that ROM is for Level 1 BASIC. Try changing the system to a Model 1, Level II. And same if you are using the Model 3. Model III, Level II. And make sure the ROM is named model1.rom and not trs80model1.rom
  19. Hmm, and you have the correct ROM in the directory for the model you have selected in the "Configuration..." menu correct? I mean, you have a model3.rom in there and selected and chose "Model III, Level II" in the "Computer:" section of the "Configuration" menu? For mine, I made a directory called ROMS under my TRS32 directory (under MyDocuments) and that is what I click on with the "ROM image path" selection under the Options menu.
  20. Yes, it has a yellow cover and it reads "ATARI 400/800 820 40 COLUMN PRINTER SERVICE MANUAL". I should add Best Electronics has these in stock still (the service manual that is).
  21. You get it work? See my post above this one if not.
  22. Make sure the ROM is called model1.rom or model3.rom etc.. because it's looking for specific file names.
  23. I believe that game was "Meteor Mission II". I added it to the trsdos1.3 disk image for you. There is a note that came with it stating the high score doesn't work, but at least you can play it. trsdos13.dsk
  24. Fantastic! Working great so far with Windows 7 64-bit. Also, the increased size is easier to view now on my widescreen monitor. Thanks once again for your effort JAC!
