Yeah now you get monthly disbursements!

Ha! Regarding the publishing on their store. That is exactly what they want. I reached out about bundling our games for a royalty per unit (once they could show a actual working prototype we could review) when I was hit back with not bundling games but if you want to publish on the store we'll send you the info. I told ok to send it, never got it. But In my mind I think that no other retro developer or developer that owns rights to old stuff will just go and publish their games on their store unless they show massive numbers (may be 200K consoles sold, so you could expect a 3% sales conversion) or R-blo would have to drop massive amounts of advance royalties to "court" developers. I wouldn't publish there unless I get advance royalties/cash per title at a minimum of 10 titles a batch; why would other bigger companies do it?

hey Guys! We have launched an Indiegogo to promote Iron Commando and Legend Reprint! Here is the link! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/iron-commando-legend-for-super-nintendo-videogames/x/6624321#/ Our goal is to make Iron Commando the SNES game that has sold the most units from our library, we usually get stuck at around 80 units. People were able to get preorders of the regular edition from our site, and they can get the Special editions at a discounted price on the IndieGogo. Another cool thing about the campaign, is that we will start experimenting with custom consoles done from the factory. We will have 2 consoles Iron Commando themed done in limited quantities. One SNES stand alone console and one Handheld (retroduo) They will be produced in custom designs with custom packaging! depending how this project turns out, we will try to do special edition consoles every year. Please spread the word!

NEW SNES game - The Darkness Hunter Unholy Night
PikoInteractive replied to Yakumo1975's topic in Classic Console Discussion
DSP (which I tried to lobby against it) and the cost to produce it, killed it IMO. Expensive and burdensome to produce, and is only 12 missions. I think if Collectorvisions Justice Beaver's videos are actually from the SNES version and not the current gen one, that game will be solid, bar way up there. -

I very much doubt the guys behind this game are actual ex-SNK people. The company they reached out for US distribution is partner of mine and they thought that whole ex-SNK was BS too. Also, their names don't add up. So who knows, also the company behind commissioning the game is Blazepro, China company creators of Super UFO 8 (which uses stolen James Pond 2 SNES Sound engine and Music). -

I remember this engine: -
They posted an update. Something about the name of the console being to similar to a trademark and that's what delayed it.

The Humans, yeah. We own the IP outright. -

Unfortunately Martin lost everything, the best way to go about it is to hack our way around Dino dudes to make the new levels. -

My company was able to acquire the rights of the Humans IP from Imagitec. If you have any Dino Dudes Stuff, I would be interested on it! -

Check out the play tricks thread! -
One trick I will recommend is to sell the bullets you have when you start a level. They are worth 16 points and would award you a tonof points for you to buy other type of bullets.

Official Custodian for Atari Jaguar Thread
PikoInteractive replied to PikoInteractive's topic in Atari Jaguar
Hey Guys! Just wanted to give a quick update! We have shipped a bit more than 50% of the preorders! The reason there has been a slight delay on dispatch is because we released other 7 games along Custodian and a lot of orders have those games too. So we got to work and dispatch those too on a first come first serve manner. Also, just wanted to let everybody know, that you are literally receiving a "hot fresh" Custodian out of the factory as I solder and assemble each game by the other =D (another reason of the slight delay). We are very thankful of the support the Jag Community and AA has brought to this release and want to say we really really appreciate your business; you are the most important aspect of our company. Now, I'd like to address a few recent claims that may throw you (or other potential customers) out or cause you confusion. There is a known individual making false claims about Piko and the Custodian project. I want to let everybody know that libel is not something we shrug off and we take very seriously. We are currently working with our legal advisers in after hours to tackle this issue. With that being said, here are some official statements (and debunks of the false claims) from Piko Interactive and the Custodian Project. 1.- I have no association or have directly talked in private with the person that is claiming false statements about our Custodian release. 2.- L. Staveley is the person that handled the port and we are very honored to work with him. We take care of every person that works with and for us in good faith. We will take care and protect with the full extent of the law if our relations, company image, sales, or business is threatened by libelous statements. 3.- All the official statements for the Custodian Project can be found here in this thread and some other on the previous thread somebody made. I have not given any insider information to anyone. 4.- Custodian is a Port of the Amiga and ST Version, which has been stated here before and if I recall correctly even MetalJesus covered this in his channel. 5.- We have never claimed the game was being ported from the ground up by a "games industry" Individual. 6.- The game is 100% licensed from the original creator of the Custodian game. The Shells used in this release do have the Atari logo because they are old stock acquired from Telegames UK. They confirmed there would not be any trouble with Atari. 7.- Yes there will be more Jag games to come =D. If you guys have any questions, please just let me know. Eli -
Retrob0x? Retroboox? Retro Module (I kind of like this one) If I had the cash, I would just revive Super A'Can and bring a ton of exclusive content. But I am just a crazy hobo.
-
From my source, it was only the main base for $200 (which I guess has the CD) + $50 per Module.

Wisdom Tree Plug and Play Kickstarter!

Really worked hard to catch the feel honestly. We had the opportunity to go with just an emulator in the controller but I don't know, didn't appealed to me so went with NOAC. -
I got a leak of pricing at $200 and $50 per module. The online store would be cool, but I doubt there would be tens of thousands of users to get a decent amount of sales.

Just noticed the thread. There is already a patent that covers Dumping a cart and playing it through emulator in one system. And is awarded to Hyperkin's CEO. I'll post it when I find it. Actually Remembered it wasn't under the CEO but under some other guy which I think is the developer of both Retron 5 and RetroFreak Click Here. Some info I thought was interesting: "[0081] 6. A game cartridge is easily digitally distinguishable from no cartridge. In step 210 the FPGA, likely in conjunction with the SOC's CPU, is used to check for the presence of a game cartridge. [0082] 7. A program loop, 212, is created to check all slots for the presence of cartridges. [0083] 8. Once at least one cartridge is found, then in 214 the ROM contents of the cartridge are read into RAM. If there is more than one cartridge inserted then one can be selected by the user. From here the content can be accessed faster than the relatively slower ROM used in typical (especially older) game consoles. [0084] 9. In step 218 a custom GUI is loaded from storage media into RAM and output displayed on the output display device, typically a TV or monitor perhaps using an HDMI output such as 136 shown in FIG. 1 and controlled using one of the Joypad input methods. The interface is designed to assist the user to make various choices about the game before launching. For example whether to activate any cheats, any graphical filters to improve game appearance whether to speed up (overclock) or slow down a game etc. [0085] 10. In step 218 A `Software emulator` to translate the original code and data into appropriate code and data for the new chipset is also loaded into RAM to a separate memory location. [0086] 11. In step 220 the Emulator is launched by passing its start address to the program counter, any configuration options entered by the user into the GUI are passed to this section of code. [0087] 12. The external Joypads in step 222, are read continuously during play and the values passed to the emulator. Output from the emulator is displayed on the Screen in step 224. Should the user press an assigned button(s) on the console or joypad button the user is taken back to the GUI in steps 226 and 228 where they are given the option to Save the RAM contents to Mass Storage device, probably SD card so the game can be loaded at a later date after the machine has been switched off. yes Still on Schedule. Waiting on box/manual/poster to arrive should be arriving in 7-10 days and we start taking cares of pre-orders as they came in =D. Thanks for your support guys! Also, I think I will making videos of our games, on how to plays and my tips and tricks etc. Eventually may be a documentary of our games! -
Hope RB won't make the same mistake; I Think Gen Handheld would be running based off another system, I'd say/hope android.
-
Well I guess you guys are rights, as the only 4 times I've ever used the term, it has been on 3 youtubers and 1 Hyperkin employee so yeah lol.

Loosely based on this term: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Bandwagon%20Fan
