  1. I want to say you can't add other games. But there will be games added every year. Which may be you can update your old version to add those new games (I'm speculating)
  2. Expected MSRP $59.99 confirmed by Retro-bit =D. At least 2 more JP devs to be added to the game line up.
  3. I can confirmed we are involved in this project Should open the doors to homebrew developers. There a couple other large developers besides Capcom and Data East involved now. Should be the Atgames killer I was instrumental about HDMI out and Regular sized 6 button Wired Genesis controllers. The Atgames ones suck.
  4. It's funny. I've paid thousands of dollars for stuff and services to people I have never met in person, just over the internet asking around and googling. And every time was Russia and China; both places were you get scammed the most. No problems, ever. Thank God. Believe it or not, hiring people is a skill you got to learn before putting any sort of team together.
  5. No because if they had opened the fake SNES proto and I would have seen it or been notified; hell was going to break loose then, when Piko official statement would have been "CC proto is FAKE". I'm still pissed at all this, Mike says he is the only one that lost money; and that is not correct. I spent this year's expo/travel/convention funds on that trip to NY as well as 2 weeks of work handling the backlash etc. And we weren't even considered to buy the Molds when I told them we wanted to buy them. So I see it like we were the most damaged third party monetarily.
  6. Just wanted to drop by and let anybody that is thinking on making a homebrew game and wants to make a physical release that we are about to finish our new app for homebrew developers to track their sales. If you want more information follow this link: http://wp.me/p3vDBy-5e It is just a simple app which will allow them to track sales, see earnings and see their payments. It will be automated every time a sales comes in our website as well as we can add manual sales if we sell one of your games when we promote it at a gaming convetion etc. Let me know what you guys think.
  7. Well Android is really a waste of time if you don't have some sort of mini transactions for coins, or ads. IOS could make good money if you are picked up on the top numbers of categories. But Android users want free stuff; so is not the best Idea to released games there; at least if you don't have bottomless advertising funds like King or Rovio.
  8. Actually that would have been very useful for people like me. We could go into that site, and get the info of stores to do sales calls of our physical games. But it hasn't worked in like 2 years. About the Intellivision games, man 10K for all those 3 and you are already making profit in My opinion.
  9. readretro is down too. Ahh no, My internet connection fooled me.
  10. They took down the website: http://www.retrovgs.com/ Seems there is no going back. Finally dead.
  11. Should we call it a dead project now? (originally seen from RupanIII) https://twitter.com/RiverWestBrands?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
  12. Yeah no contract for me. I saw it twice and twice I asked for changed. Never got those; never signed it.
  13. In here (at least Tx) they were listed at 59.99 and saw them stay unsold for a while. Then all of the sudden they were at $25 (walgreens), and $10 (sams or cotsco can't recall)
  14. Well I told Chris that we (Piko) would be able to release plug and plays for Coleco. I've been slowly working on a Genesis one for us, unless Atgames picks our games up (don't know if they would have interest in our games). I also told Albert we can do an Atari one. We wouldn't have the distribution volume as Atgames, but we can sell a lot direct to retail. As I mentioned before, I have contact with the same factory that does the Atgames consoles.
  15. They could really come back at it this year, fixing issues, adding more games and I would suggest to make a new controller model. Same functionality, better design.
  16. Atgames released the CV flashback too expensive. MSRP should have been 29.99 tops 34.99. Then they would have sold out. They didn't sell well because Atgames doesn't really know much about games (thus why they hire 3rd party consultants). So they thought it would sell as good as the Genesis ones.
  17. I made the math, and I pretty much concluded that the only way to make money on this console was to be the pack in game. So when I got Mike's call about it, yeah I got excited. I even threw in games that I would not currently consider for multicarts, to the pack in multicart. All because the minimum amount of units needed to fund were somewhat around 2500 or so; that is a ton of carts (at least for me). So yeah I got excited. However I'm glad I was able to stay cool and greed didn't take over and I offered to give back the pack in spot if my requirements were met. Those requirements were to overall fix a lot of things wrong with how they were handling the project. First time on VGS, as I stated on Sega Nerds (and I even was live here posting when they launched), they wanted games, offered them a list of 30, they picked super noah's and they didn't add it to the indiegogo; They were already failing pretty bad when I was notified that they will finally add our games, which I then refused. Now this time, they had the Coleco name and had slashed the cost by over 50%. That gave me the impressions that they would sort of be successful; as well as the competition was going to be a launch developer, so I felt pressured to be part of it too. Also since they had promised that they were coming back with a proto, I thought they had one already for the CC try, and KS is a much better crowdfunding platform. So it is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. At the end of the days, it was mainly game sales.
