  1. Yes it is a niche feature for now, but maybe in the future it will be more common...?

    NewEgg reported that their $300 ASUS VG248QE monitor is their most popular 120 Hz computer monitor, and an ASUS rep mentions (at 5:18 in YouTube) that the LightBoost zero motion blur feature is a major selling point of this monitor -- see the

    Also, several Amazon.com customer reviews of the VG248QE mentions the lightboost zero motion blur feature more often than lightboost's original 3D Vision purpose. Also, googling "lightboost" mentions the zero motion blur feature more highly ranked.

     

    It was originally a 3D Vision feature, but was discovered to eliminate 2D motion blur; making things look like a CRT.

    We'll have to see how rapidly the 120 Hz world ramps up...
