  1. If you're interested in pirate consoles - take a look at this auction (it's not my auction). I've never seen a Hi-Score Mk I console before, but I have a Mk II and a Mk III. The Hi-Score Mk II looks just like a BitCorp Amigo console but the case is molded differently. The Hi-Score Mk III is a copy of a 2600 Jr I really wanted to win this auction but I can't afford to bid very high at the moment and I've already been outbid. Hopefully someone on this board can win it. mitchell
  2. first of all - that's one damn impressive wall bfstats. Did you make it yourself? I have always wanted to make a wall like that with records but I'd never be able to build such a thing. My 2600 collection: 300 games - but quite a few of those are doubles 13 consoles - including 3 boxed and 3 pirate consoles So I guess I fall short of the cut off level to be a king. oh well mitchell
  3. this sounds like an excellent idea. I use Cart Commander to keep track of my Atari carts. I think its a great program - but there are areas where it could improve. It would be good if your program gave the ability to sort the list based on multiple characteristics - like sorting by manufacturer with carts by each manufacturer listed in order of rarity or date of purchase etc. It would also be good if the program automatically detected when a duplicate cartridge is entered. The idea you have for comparing trade and want lists is great - suggesting a good trade would be nice too. Do you have a name for the program yet? mitchell
  4. congrats on the nice find you should get a good price for this. Famicoms consoles are somewhat rare - but you have much rarer Famicon Disk System plus a bunch of games so you should get plenty of bids. mitchell
  5. From memory there are some Rainbowvision games that have Suntek in the bottom right hand corner. mitchell
  6. Alex, there are some other Rainbowvision titles that are missing from your list. The only one I have that is missing is Ski Run (SS 024), but I remember somebody posted a list of all the Rainbowvision games they knew of a while back (might have been Marco or Rick) and there were some that weren't on the list. By the way, its great to see the Australian section growing. NOTE TO CROPSY If you are interested in trading any of your Rainbowvision or other games then please email me - I have doubles of Mariana, Pac Kong, The Year 1999, Hey Stop!, Pyramid War, Space Raid & Bermuda. mitchell
  7. I just wanted to clarify something that Marco said - that Hi-Score games come in generic blue boxes with a sticker indicating the name of the game. The Hi-Score games that he linked to say Hi-Score and don't have a sticker. I have one boxed game that is like what Marco describes (blue with a sticker) - http://www.blackshoals.net/~weaselbrains/i.../images/box.jpg but this box is clearly different to the Hi-Score boxes that Marco linked to. Here's a picture of the cart and a picture of it next to a Hi-Score cart to show the different fonts used on the end labels. http://www.blackshoals.net/~weaselbrains/i...images/cart.jpg http://www.blackshoals.net/~weaselbrains/i...mages/carts.jpg Another thing is that I'm pretty sure I've seen boxed Hi-Score carts before on eBay with v-shaped cases - can someone confirm this? (Marco maybe). I'm sure I've only made things more confusing now. Here's a photo of my Hi-Score and similar looking games - http://www.blackshoals.net/~weaselbrains/i...ox_of_games.jpg Shame you can't see all the titles properly, but here's the titles you don't have on the list. V-Shaped carts F18 (VS) ALIENS SURROUND 'EM JUNGLE BOY TIME WARP RIVER BATTLE FISHING OCEAN CITY SEA ADVENTURE HIGH WAY CRAB CONTROL DRAGON ATTACK GALAXY INVADER TANK CITY (label variation - skull label) OCEAN CITY PAC KONG CONDOR ATTACK (skull label) TIME WARP (2 versions - different fonts on end labels) WAR ZONE (skull label)
  8. quote I wouldn't be surprised if there's a more direct link between BitCorp and Computec. This console looks identical to the BitCorp Amigo except for the badge on the top that says computec and the label above the ports on the back. Also the font that 'computec' is written is the same as the font used for 'bit corporation' on the sticker on the bottom of my Amigo. I think it would be pretty coincidental that Marco's console would just happen to come with a game made by BitCorp. My guess is that BitCorp changed its name to Computec. Maybe they used the computec brand name for hardware and continued making software under the BitCorp brand name. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, does anyone know anything about other computec products? I know I have seen computec joysticks before. mitchell
  9. I was looking for previous posts about the Amigo console and I found this old thread. Did anybody find out what type of computer this connects to? I remember seeing an Amigo for auction a while back and I think they said it could be connected to an Apple II. I could be totally wrong about this though. Marco, could you please tell me what type of power supply this console takes? I have two Amigos but I think I blew one of them up by using the wrong power supply, so I don't want to repeat that mistake. mitchell
  10. What this site is doing is stealing the images and layout from the real PayPal site and using a form that emails people's user Id and password to the owners of the site when someone tries to log in. Emailing the ISP and trying to have the site shut down is a good step, but how many people's IDs and passwords do you imagine they have obtained already? It might take a day or two for the ISP to get around to shutting the site down, and in that time they might receive a bunch of people's IDs and passwords - meaning they can drain their PayPal accounts. I think the best way would be to email freedom2@atrevete.com with huge attachments in the hope that they will push the inbox over its size limit and stop it from receiving anymore PayPal account details. Signing into their site with fake PayPal details is not going to do that much because it will only take them 2 seconds or so to check whether they are fake or not. I wonder how many people have entered their real details into this page already. mitchell
  11. These carts are not Bit Corp carts - they are released by Rainbow Vision. If you add Rainbow Vision to the title you might get a few more hits. Shame I already have these carts two, otherwise I could have traded you some transformers for them. mitchell
  12. quote: So according to your list, we are missing these titles: Motocross SS-022 Mole Hunter SS-023 Ski Run SS-024 Asteroid Belt SS-029 UFO Patrol SS-031 Walker SS-032 I.Q. Memory Teaser SS-033 Panda Rescue SS-035 Criminal Persuit SS-036 Do you have these Marco, or does anyone have pictures to confirm them? I will be able to take pictures of IQ Memory Teaser and Ski Run as soon as I receive them in the mail which should be in the next few days. I have 17 Rainbowvision games that I may be able to scan if I can get to a scanner. mitchell
  13. quote Are you sure these are Hi-Score carts? I don't own any boxed Hi-Score carts and I don't claim to be any authority on the matter, but any Hi-Score carts I have seen that are boxed always have smaller labels than this and have a v-shape molded into the top of the cart. I have quite a few carts with this style of label but I have never seen one of them in its box. I have a boxed cartridge similar to this but it has a different picture on the label, and on the box it just says Atari compatible. Does anyone have any thoughts on who might make these cartridges if it is not Action Hi Tech? I'd be interested to know Mitchell
  14. You need a 9 volt power supply with a plug that looks like a headphone plug. You can buy them from Radio Shack - someone from the U.S. can probably tell you the model number. mitchell
  15. I've just noticed that the game Sternen Kampf has been added to the rarity guide under Rainbowvision. It doesn't look like a Rainbowvision game to me - the font for video game looks right, but it uses a different font for the title. Plus all the Rainbowvision games I have seen have a code in the bottom right starting with SS - this one does not. Does anybody agree or disagree with this? A lot of pirate games look similar, so the only accurate way to tell a Rainbowvision game is if it comes in its box. Does anybody know how many Rainbowvision games there are? mitchell
