  1. I can think of a few games on Cassette that I used to play... however, I no longer play them. Seems that all those (or most of them) no longer work... :(

Ever played "Pinhead"? I remember having a blast with this game, I have not played it for years though... I was so sad when it stoped working.

Put "Pinhead" on the next Multicart too! ;)

  2. So, after I got my multicart I decided to play the game called "Seahorse" (I think that is what it was called)

I found the game interesting, as I had never played or even heard of it before. After dieing, a few times.... I became a pro. I played, and I played some more... I must have pluged away at the game for over an hour... same level over and over, it changed a little hear and there. (tunels worked, or didn't, and you got bigger smaller although I don't know why) But I just did not really get any harder... Ok, so let me get to the point. After a while, the novelty wore off... and I was just too good at the game, for well. my own good. I was became board. I could play, no more. I turned it off.

What was I thinking when I got board? "Does this have an ending?" The answer: I have no idea....

So, my question is... has anyone kept track of what games HAVE endings? One the comes to mind, is Choplifter... after you resque everyone... the game is over.

I guess it just boils down to how interesting/fun/challenging the game is... I for one often wondered if Pac-Man has an ending, but honestly... that is not what keeps me playing. I play it, because it's fun. It gets more difficult, and there is a sence of acomplishment... When you start getting into those "Key" levels... I feel like I am a bad ass... "how much farther can I get?" I think to myself... Can my Brother get a higher score?

Anyway... those are my thoughts. What are yours? and what games for the 8-bits do you know end?

  3. I got my multicart yesterday...

Had lots of fun with it! ;) But, I want more! I can think of several games that I would like to see on the next multicart, are you taking suggestions?

What about "Unlreleased Carts?" Like Super Pac Man, Pac Man Jr etc... ?

How about the Theme multicart? Like, "Space Games" or "Arcade Classics" or something?

Two of my All time favorite games, are "Claim Jumper", and "Orileys Mine" (Claim Jumper made it on cart, however Orileys Mine never did...)

  4. Anyone got any spare Atari 8 bit computers to sell? they don't need to be complete, MIB, or anything... just working, and in good shape. Ohh... and w/ power supply/video cable if possible.

I am looking for the following models:

    Atari 800

    Atari 65xe

    Atari 130xe

I have a few Atari computers allready, however I need more! (I am working on a special project)

  5. Hey gang... took my Atari 400 I got as a Xmas gift way long ago... Cleaned, Referbished it (or tried to). I could get no picture, but it was powering up.

After getting some new RG59 cable, and soldering it directly to the MB rather than pluging it into the RF out RCA slot (which appears to be dead). I have a picture again, it's exceptable, but but not great, Even by RF standards.

My question is, how to I improve the picture? I know it could look better than this. (and has looked better than this before) I have done everything I can think of.

I found a guide to make Composite Video Outputs, but it seems way more complicated than the Atari 2600 Composite Video mod (which I did).

    Any suggestions would be great.

  6. What chip is that on the MB? Is it marked? Is it easy to replace?

Humm... not sure if I can find another unit, I don't suppose that chip can be found elsewhere? (perhaps I can pick up a "as is" one on ebay...)

Seems that all the Atari Units use that 2600 power supply... is this a easy power supply to obtain? It seems that I need several of them.

  7. So I got A Atari Super Pong unit... when I power it up, all I get is a black screen. I would open it up, if I could but those damn screws.... I don't got anything that will make it open. Any thoughts of why I am getting a black screen?

I need to visit a local screw shop.... (heh) really! However, I am wondering if the power supply I am using is ok. The power supply I am using is the same one as the 2600 power supply... Is this is the correct one?

  8. I got one of these units, cleaned it all up, put on a new RF cable and got some batteries. (I don't have a power supply) It works!

Got some questions though... When playing the game (the pinball one) it seems to lock up randomly. (the flipers don't respond for a moment, then they start to work again.) Can anyone explain this?

Also.. what power supply will work with this unit?

  9. I have a Game boy Advance with these games: F-Zero, Dragon Warriour III, and Golden Sun. All are in perfect conditon and have boxes/manuals etc.

I also have the FLASH ADVANCE LINKER, w/ 64 meg cart. This was a expansive item and I don't think it is avil for sale any longer (nintendo cracked down). This device allows you to copy up to 2 games/roms. great for development/demos, or if you uhh. download a game... uhh PD of course. heh I have manual for this, and software. (it's easy to use) requires AAA batteries or power supply.

As an extra bonus I have a nice carring case, and little camera case I put it all in on top of that. (the carring case is more like a protective pouch for only the GBA).

Ok, now thats all over with... what do I want? A big old lot of Atari 8-bit stuff. Carts, Consoles, and perhaps other hardware too. Let me know what you got!

  10. Was this ever released? I see in lists that it wasn't, however I know where to buy it. Has anyone played the Atari 400/800 version of BERZERK? Is it worth getting? I have the 2600 version, how does it compair?

Come to think of it, there are several other "unreleased titles" I wonder if they are any good... Super Pac Man, or Pac Man JR for example....

  11. I was reading some posts around here, and I read something about Dig Dug. How the Atari 400/800 cart sucked and how the XE release of the same game was improved. Could someone confirm this? Could they also explain what was changed?

I always thought that all the "XE" titles that already had been released as 400/800 carts were nothing more than new packageing. Is this true in some cases? Or are all "XE" titles that were released as 400/800 carts before enhanced in some way?

Could someone also shed some light on the subject of cart lables changing?

    I am confused. :)

    Thanks in advance,

    darkman

  12. I would give my first born to get my hands on an 8-bit Atari multicart!

Don't get me wrong, I got lots of original carts... however, there are several games I want to play (Berzerk for example), Problem is Berzerk is hard to find and costly. Another reason a multicart would be cool, is to get more of those games on cart that were never on cart before.

Nothing makes you me more upset than when a old floppy fails. :x And let's face it... Carts are more fun!

So, tell me (friends at sunmark) When can I preorder one?
