  1. A few years ago I purchased a cover off of ebay for my TI, but it came with some "folds" or "lines" that I hoped would disappear over time, but haven't.  I know a few of you out there also have the same cover, so I'll ask you...  If you had the same issue and fixed it, how did you do it?

As you can see the "folds" ruin the entire appearance.   Thanks!

I've got to make space to actually set mine up!  I spent lots of time and money on it a couple of years ago, and even re-capped my PEB this year but don't have any space for it!

Good luck to you!  When you get it set up, please post a picture.  "TI-PORN" is one of my favorite activities on this site.  I really enjoy seeing other people's setups.

  3. Today I had a little time after work to prep for some UberGROM boards @Ksarul will be sending me Friday.  So what did I do?

First, I "liberated" a Pengo image and massaged it into a TI Cartridge Label.  So in about a week this will no longer be a "mock-up".

The label and the UberGROM cartridge image is attached below for those of you who want to make your own too.

  4. I just received six more beige cartridges to retask for UberGROM boards.  Normally I throw away the internals, but this time one of them seems like it might be a keeper.  Anyway the cartridges I received are:

    Fractional Numbers

    Meteor Multiplication

    Jawbreaker II

    Alligator Mix

    Football

    Adventure

The last one, the Adventure module seems like it might be work keeping.  Does anyone have any input on this one?  If it's worth keeping I'll hunt for a manual and I assume some 'adventures'.  Who knows, someday I may have the time to try it out.

  5. At some levels, prices between PC & Mac's are getting closer, and admittedly Mac's tend to be more idiot proof than PC's.  However in the PC world you have way more choices when it comes to software and computer configurations.  Now while I'm not a true PC gamer, from what I've heard Mac's cannot even compete when it comes to high-end gaming.  Apples (pardon the pun) and Oranges, Ford or Chrysler.  For most things, they'll both get you across the finish line, who cares if one is 1/2 a second faster in this or that or the other.

  6. There is one thing missing in Borzork that I miss.  The FCTN-QUIT key is not active.  While it's not an issue on my main system that has a reset button, or when you use the FinalGROM, when it's in a stand alone cartridge it can be an inconvenience.  Currently the TIPI on my beige system gets power from the TI, so I don't like cycling the power.  I suppose I'll have to buy an external wall-wart for that system so it's no longer an issue.

So as a request to future game makers, I'd like to request the FCTN-QUIT combination remain active or a quit option be included in future games like in Escape North Korea.  Thanks.
