  1. My final project of 2020 is complete, thanks to the arrival of a couple of UberGROM boards from @Ksarul today. So, what did you guys do today?
  2. I've always seen the > all my life on all my computers and have to admit the $ just feels and looks weird to me, but I'll take whatever I can get.
  3. Man, I really love the way that monitor matches your console! 👍
  4. Good luck to you! When you get it set up, please post a picture. "TI-PORN" is one of my favorite activities on this site. I really enjoy seeing other people's setups.
  5. I never had anything like this wrapped up in any of my presents...
  6. 2020 was an AMAZING year for the TI, and I have a feeling next year will be even more spectacular. So, what are your plans for the TI in 2021?
  7. Thanks for the input! I've decided to keep this one in my collection. 👍
  8. Today I had a little time after work to prep for some UberGROM boards @Ksarul will be sending me Friday. So what did I do? First, I "liberated" a Pengo image and massaged it into a TI Cartridge Label. So in about a week this will no longer be a "mock-up". The label and the UberGROM cartridge image is attached below for those of you who want to make your own too. PENGO512.BIN
  9. Speaking of YouTube, << My YouTube Channel >> got it's 200th subscriber today.
  10. Thank you! I'll print this puppy up... and link to it as well. *EDIT* I straightened it up a little before printing. Attached is the slightly altered version. TI Adventure Cartridge.pdf
  11. Apparently no Adventure module manual yet...
  12. I just received six more beige cartridges to retask for UberGROM boards. Normally I throw away the internals, but this time one of them seems like it might be a keeper. Anyway the cartridges I received are: Fractional Numbers Meteor Multiplication Jawbreaker II Alligator Mix Football Adventure The last one, the Adventure module seems like it might be work keeping. Does anyone have any input on this one? If it's worth keeping I'll hunt for a manual and I assume some 'adventures'. Who knows, someday I may have the time to try it out.
  13. A guy over paid for an older Apple computer because he was told it was iMaculate.

  14. At some levels, prices between PC & Mac's are getting closer, and admittedly Mac's tend to be more idiot proof than PC's. However in the PC world you have way more choices when it comes to software and computer configurations. Now while I'm not a true PC gamer, from what I've heard Mac's cannot even compete when it comes to high-end gaming. Apples (pardon the pun) and Oranges, Ford or Chrysler. For most things, they'll both get you across the finish line, who cares if one is 1/2 a second faster in this or that or the other.
  15. I remember back in the day there was an outfit, I believe in Texas called Merrymac (a Radio Shack franchise outfit) that used to undercut company stores on prices. They used to advertise in magazines like Computer Shopper. Did anyone here ever purchase a computer from them?
  16. Here's the label I used if anyone wants to print up their own...
  17. There is one thing missing in Borzork that I miss. The FCTN-QUIT key is not active. While it's not an issue on my main system that has a reset button, or when you use the FinalGROM, when it's in a stand alone cartridge it can be an inconvenience. Currently the TIPI on my beige system gets power from the TI, so I don't like cycling the power. I suppose I'll have to buy an external wall-wart for that system so it's no longer an issue. So as a request to future game makers, I'd like to request the FCTN-QUIT combination remain active or a quit option be included in future games like in Escape North Korea. Thanks.
  18. A wife is a little like a computer... after you bring her home, you realize she costs more than you thought she would.

If she was an apple computer, then you would have to throw her away for a new computer.

So my first wife was a Macintosh??

  19. I like the entire "Lunar Collection" being in one image. Yeah, I'm eventually going to have to get off my azz and learn how to make a multiple game image.
  20. Things were tough when I was growing up, heck back then even computer mice had balls!

  21. A new medical term has been coined for typing on your cell phone in sub-zero weather...

    ... it's called "typo-thermia".

  22. Thanks, I posted it in the usual place << HERE >>. Thanks to @OLD CS1 sending me some beige cartridges, I've been able to re-task them to useful life.
