  1. We already have the cartridge label and game image released to the community for free, but am I blind, did I miss it, or has no one yet uploaded the manual? MRCHIN.BIN <<-- For FlashROM or FinalGROM MRCHIN512UG <<-- For UberGROM Board
  2. You are right, that IS weird. I tried it on Overdrive and got 8 seconds. I'm assuming Classic 99 only uses one CPU and thread? Imagine what it could do with all six cores and twelve threads. WEIRD.mp4
  3. I don't have the talent or equipment either. I'm concidering mentioning it to an acquaintance to see what might be done, but that'll have to wait until the new year.
  4. In Classic 99 set to system maximum I get about 19-20 seconds as well... 19 Seconds.mp4
  5. I missed my TRS-80 so much, that I replaced it with a dedicated RPi-3 that only runs an emulator. I would have loved to have a real TRS-80, but I am neither rich or flush with extra space. So, this is the best I can do to relive my nostalgic experiences... TRS-Pi803
  6. If you can't see an end, and you have no control and don't even have a home... I think it's time for a new keyboard! ;)

Time to ESCape from this keyboard made by the guy who got fired from the keyboard factory.

  7. This kinda makes me wonder, if I could still run GWBASIC on my Windows 10 computer how fast the program would execute.
  8. I truly would have loved to have seen the Dragon's Lair cartridge featured near the end of this video. Since the video addresses 'extras' built-into cartridges, I'm of the opinion that there is no finer example of a basic (non expanded console) pushed to the edge of the envelope with music, sounds, video and speech than Tursi's cartridge.
  9. Isn't the F5 key wonderful?  It's so refreshing!

that guy forgot to put f5 key on my keyboard :(

You can also press alt + F4 when you've had enough.

  10. Thanks, keeps the ideas coming! I've only made three revisions so-far... and I'm also needing ideas for the cover as well.
  11. Actually, that is what I had in mind, because the vertical orientation would take up less desktop space. I suppose a clicker could be devised to work with the spindle, but I was thinking more in line with the K.I.S.S. principal of design.
  12. You know I was thinking about this today on my drive home from work. The sections would only have to be an inch and a half deep and could be open ended on both sides to save material. The sections could be 3D printed with interlocking guides to form the circle and a spindle could also be printed to make an interference fit in the middle. A base and sides could be printed as well. Of course the sections would have to have a raised section on a little retainer in the middle of each section to hold the cartridges in place. It's very doable, but I have no clue if it's cost effective. Just because something has never been done or tried before is no reason to dismiss it out-of-hand. If that was the standard operating procedure for everything, nothing new would ever be invented.
  13. Hey, since it's something by a community member I love it already. I learned a few things this morning thanks to your suggestion @Airshack. First, his book is available on Amazon.com << in paperback >> for cheaper than I had the PDF printed up for at Office Depot a few years back. Second, his program has a << dedicated website >>. Third, after revisiting << his thread >> for the first time in years, it'll make a great addition!
  14. Nice for the price. Perfect for a TIPI and SAMS start up system.
  15. Your computer may be able to beat you at chess every time, but just remember, it will lose at kickboxing every time.

Unless it's a computer from the 1960s.  It'll tip over and crush you like a oversized vending machine.

  16. You have a newly married couple who have to share one computer with Internet access, what are the odds that the marriage will survive?

But for their sanity, they should buy a second one. How else will they play AoE2 together?

  17. Why the hell not? It's something that would be useful. Should I okay my future posts for your personal approval first before I go public with them?
  18. Nope! The closest thing out there are CAROUSEL style holders for various things.
  19. Back in the mid 80's, I thought, "Why is there no 'Rolodex style' holder for TI cartridges?" I mean really, it could not have been all that difficult to make a wheel with a hole in the middle with some slots with raised retainers to keep the cartridges in place. Sure, it would have been at least 8 inches tall and deep, and at least 6 inches wide, but it could have held a fair amount of cartridges for the space. Looking back at what could have been sucks, because now there is simply no profit motive to be had in making one due to the limited market.
  20. I'm looking for suggestions on the "BEST" TI related book to add to the "catalog". The only requirement is that the book be FREEly available and downloadable online.
  21. Rumor has it that some guy called Moses had the first tablet that could connect to the cloud.

The resolution was a bit limited though, only about five lines which caused him to use two tablets to get the entire message through.

@carlsson I believe it was originally 3 tablets, but legend has it he dropped one.

I suppose the damage wasn't covered by AppleCare, after that Eden incident.
