Ya know, after looking at this thread, I'm beginning to think a Portable TI Systems thread might be interesting.

DBT Labels (Sized for Diskettes) in PDF form, just cut out and and attach with a good quality glue stick.

What I plan to do is play around with it over the next month or two as time allows by removing and replacing some of the older items with new ones then reassembling the catalog and uploading it. I find it kind of relaxing to fudge around with the graphics program for a few minutes now and then.

Crap, obviously I wasn't thinking. 29 is not 18... DUH! Well, they say Senior Moments are not bad... unless they all run together.

@jedimatt42 that makes a heck of a lot more sense that sticking it in a cartridge, so it can only be used with that one cartridge... talk about limiting. I'm thinking something << like this >> plugged into a USB wall wart.

I hope that I can just replace the TMS9929NL chip with a TMS9929ANL chip then!
If you don't have a spare lying around, PM me with your address (assuming you are in the U.S.) and I'll mail the used one I pulled out of my system a few years back... if you don't mind having to straighten a few bent pins.

I made a date with one of the saleswomen at Radio Shack BITD. I typed in a simple four question and answer program that would ask a different questions depending on the answer given. I ended up dating her off and on for three years.

The other day I was trying to entice one of the seniors I have coffee with to get into the TI by showing him an UberGROM board and what he would be able to do with a "starter system". Anyway he noticed the pin labeled 5V... and the question he came up with was totally out of left field, even for me. He asked if it could support a "hyper bright LED". Apparently he would want the cartridge to illuminate the keyboard while his wife sleeps! I guess he has room for a TI in his bedroom. So, if I can set him up with a cartridge that has an LED at the end of some kind of "articulated thingy" coming out of the cartridge case, he's in.

A few years ago I simply had to have the Rasmus 8-N-1 Arcade in a cartridge, even after the FinalGROM 99 came out I transferred it to a blue transparent case. When the Atarisoft Games Collection was released, that to had to have it's own case as well, which has recently been transferred to a beige case. Now S.C.R.A.A. is special (to me at least) so that one was plunked into a cartridge as well. Now the guys here keep coming out with goodies, so first Lunar Mission 2 went into a cartridge, only to be replaced with the "Lunar Collection". I've been waiting to see if Ciro makes a label for it, because quite frankly he does a damn good job with them. If not, come January I'll design my own. Now Airshack's new game Escape North Korea simply had to have it's own cartridge as well. Jetpack and Tutankham have their own cases as well, although I don't really play them. It goes without saying that Dragon's Lair MUST be in cartridge form.
Currently I have one empty UberGROM looking to house something, I dunno what it'll be yet, but if the guys here keep making goodies, and I have every reason to believe they will, 2021 is sure to bring something super cool. I have to give a shoutout of thanks to Ksarul, as he's been my dealer feeding my needs for cartridge boards and chips.

Many of us download and try out games in Classic 99 or on our TI's these days using the FinalGROM, but every once in a while a special (to us) program 'tickles our fancy' and is elevated, for any number of reasons, to having it's own cartridge. Which/what program(s) have done it for you in the last few years?

I have to look--I may have it, as I bought most of the Asgard catalog BITD.
Thank you!

Anyone have a copy of this manual and the program to go with it? I have a few TI cassette tapes that I would like to label with period software for nostalgia's sake. I figure printing to the TIPI and then printing out the PDF should work. I tried another program a while back, but it never printed out the correct size, maybe this one will.

Wow, looks like this thread is augering in. I guess just for the sake of it, I'll have to throw one together
sometime in the coming week. -
It's nice and all that they have CHEAP wireless USB gamepad controllers for the PC like << THIS ONE >> at Amazon, but damn, WHY no affordable joystick types for old codgers like myself that cannot so diddly squat with these new fangled game pads?

No, I used to own an NEC PC-8201A (as seen in the photo below). However, I used to sell Model 100's!
If I could get something affordably like this pre-built and ready to go, in a case, I'd probably get a Model 100 for kicks. I used mine quite extensively in college. There is simply more out there for Model 100's than the old NEC.
