  1. Hmmm, well now... mind blown by Rasmus AGAIN. I guess I need to find the update file...
  2. I'm having an absolute BLAST making cartridges for my classic TI home computer...
  3. Well, it is a Mitsumi keyboard... so it's basically worthless. How else do you market trash? You never know, though someone might want it as a base for a Steampunk project or something.
  4. Good luck on your quest! Now you just know an Ebayer out there read your message, so don't be surprised if in a few days you see that prized cartridge for sale, listed as [email protected] or something for only $1,999.99!
  5. Wow, you ain't kidding! That zip file has just about everything, documentation, programs, links to videos... everything except the cartridge label!
  6. Oh yeah, I'd be surprised as heck it they had anything left too! Back in 1988 I was able to buy some calling 1-800-TI-Cares and I though I'd give it a shot again. I knew the chances were slim-to-none after so many years, but, "if you don't ask...."
  7. The main items I'm trying to obtain NEW are both pieces of aluminum trim. I want to restore a give-a-away unit for Christmas season this year... and while I'm at it, renew mine as well.
  8. They did, although it's not what I wanted, the door is not yet officially closed on this. It's a real long-shot, but if I can come up with the part numbers I just might get some action yet.
  9. SWEET! Way to go Budz! It looks to be in pretty good shape. Congratulations on thewin!
  10. Ahh, I did not know that. But since I burned my own, and I don't have one of your labels, well I have to do something.
  11. You know, I had not thought about badges for the get together in a couple of months. Do you think I should design one so everyone can have a souvenir? If so, what name should I put on them, the first name, Atari Age name or both? These would obviously only be made for people who confirm ahead of time. Since FEST WEST has obviously been used, what should I call it?
  12. Hey Rich, I dunno, is this too plain or out of the norm? Any ideas or colors your would prefer?
  13. Apparently not much. I would have preferred to have spent $5.00-$10.00 more originally and saved additional money and hassle of dealing repeatedly with the post office.
  14. Damm, I feel like a fool. The message I had read before made no mention of using a 512K ROM image, and since Rich is the GPL guy, I assumed all I needed were the two files in the AVR. No wonder it didn't work! Anyway, after you sent the file, I quickly burned a chip, plugged it in and now it appears to work fine. All those files are going to be stored together in a safe place in case I ever need them again. Now I need to design a new label, but that's later, I'm behind schedule and gotta go! MANY THANKS!
  15. Sure, thanks Greg I'll take that too and burn that into a 40F040 as well. I don't want to miss anything. I'm still new to the burning stuff and have never used a project file... damn that sounds too simple... I like it! I have to leave in a while so I'll check back this evening when I get home. THANKS AGAIN.
  16. Any instructions? I see multiple files, an extension I've never seen before and really no clue...
  17. /strong opinion mode on I understand the goal of reducing manufacturing costs, but NOT by eliminating basic protections that result in a weak at-risk product. While the manufacturer may save a couple of pennies, this practice displays little regard for the consumer or all the hoops and added expense that they'll have to incur. There seems to be a higher percentage of stories surrounding the Nano-PEB when it comes to troubles, I unfortunately have a few personal experiences myself. Thankfully there are people out there who have stable units with no problems, I wish we all had your luck.
  18. Thanks Rich, I'll download it tomorrow and re-try it after I get home from work.
  19. That's kind of neat. Think it'll work with all types?
  20. Quite a while back Tursi told us all how to "UNBRICK" an AVR. So last year I made up a PDF file to share, but held off posting it until I could verify that it worked. Well, life got in the way, and I never got around to testing it... until tonight... and not by choice mind you! Anyway it works like a charm! I hope you like the document and that it someday saves your azz like it did mine tonight! ENJOY! UNBRICKING AN AVR.pdf
  21. Okay, please watch the video for the problem... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWbi16iiAoU&feature=youtu.be ... so, do you think it's just a bad .BIN file? The files I used are included in the .ZIP attached with Gazoo's instructions that were followed to the letter. Does anyone have a verified good working copy they could upload?
  22. Okay, we are all Classic Computer hobbyists, which means a good percentage of us have a T-Shirt featuring our favorite computer. I'm sure they'll cover a wide range like the fanciest, most worn out, or for the most obscure computer, or whatever. Let's see what you've got!
