  1. A new thread for the masses! The point of this thread is for an "at the moment" sort of thing, for quick questions or for items items not worthy of a new thread. To start off, I'll ask a quick one... Where is the list of the contents of all of Gazoo's Games Cartridges? We're getting so many goodies here I can't keep track of them all.
  2. I'll go pop over and check it out! I have no doubt this will be a great thread with your management.
  3. Well, I did break down and purchase a lottery ticket for the 1.5 BILLION, yes BILLION dollar lottery tomorrow. If I win, I'll get the best BBC Microcomputer money can buy. Of course I'll also need a new game room to go around it, and a new house to go around the game room.. and a new location for the house...
  4. Ooooooh, that my friend say's a LOT! It must be uber-fantastic if you think it'll make me soil myself! You've just raised the bar of expectation higher than you could ever know! Care to give me a hint or two?
  5. I would assume a "voltage regulation module".
  6. If I had money to burn, and did not already have my TI, I'd probably get one of these... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FunVINQS0Rw
  7. Hmmm, I thought I posted the PDF of your instructions a long time ago... guess I forgot.... TEXAN DEALER.pdf
  8. You got that right! There is a game for the TI-99/4A called Texan Dealer... From the two screen grabs you can figure out what the game is all about. There is even a PDF manual for it... TEXAN DEALER.pdf
  9. Naw, no reason to nuke your posts, if it were me, I'd just leave it as, but edit the messages by adding a link to a NEW THREAD. There are still users of 9938 and 9958 based hardware. I think it would be nice for them to have a place to refer to when they are trying to find specific programs as well.
  10. Bummer. I only asked because I did not want anyone to get confused, as this thread is dedicated to programs that are F18A compatible.
  11. Are you confirming that all these are "F18A" compatible?
  12. It's my understanding that the Nano-PEB will only transfer files to and from a PC, which may be why you gave up, because it's futile. Besides being a flaky device, Nano-PEB's are NOT 100% compatible with the TI when it comes to communications, heck you cannot even run a program like Telco or TIMXT, it's very frustrating and limiting to say the least. If you want to be able to load or run programs directly via HDX, you'll need to have a P-Box with a modified Texas Instruments brand RS-232, nothing else works AFAIK.
  13. Stuart, I'm curious, since you're The Man when it comes to Cortex BASIC and you've also developed the amazing Internet browser, I'm wondering if both could be put into a cartridge and linked to work together in some way via a special command. I had this idea pop into my head that while connecting to a browser compatible webpage, clicking on a specific kind of link would download a program and then switch to Cortex BASIC that would run the program, when finished click an option in the program that would activate the specific command to instantly switch back to the browser. If possible, oh man the possibilities!
  14. Maybe your subconscious is trying to tell you that you need an F18A to maximize your enjoyment? Just a thought...
  15. Light pens have pretty much vanished from the consumer market/world. 1) They never really gained a viable consumer level. 2) Programs that used the technology were few and limited. In todays world, time marched on, 3) People have touchscreen technology. But what really sucks for the classic computer hobbyist that wants to use one... 4) They only work with CRT's.... LCD and LED technology in not compatible.
  16. You know something Rich, some of your stuff is pretty freaking slick. What would be real cool is to see you start a thread that focuses on ALL the goodies of RXB... AND ALL THE PROGRAMS WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY TO EXPLOIT IT. A thread with a combination of your videos, programs in downloadable or text listing format would be great. With your explanations and the library you must have amassed over the decades, I can see such a thread getting quite popular, especially now that RXB can be easily obtained and used in cartridge form.
  17. Budz, The media is OLD and depending on the disk quality and storage conditions, many of those old disks flake off and can damage the disk drive, the disk, or the one that follows. Constant cleaning can be a hassle and the worry of losing media can really put a dampener on enjoyment, or picking up the pieces afterwards. I'm truly sorry to hear about your rotten luck. Now 3.5's seem to fair better, but honestly, if you are not a purist, my opinion is to just say, "Screw that old crap" and get << ONE OF THESE >>.
  18. There is an old saying, "If you want something, you have to ask for it." Well, today I figured, "What the heck, it can't hurt to try". So I typed in: 1-800-TI-CARES into Google, and got this website. So I pressed the little red "Contact TI-Cares" button. So I filled out the form. So I wait now to see if I get a response to a TI-99/4A repair parts inquiry or a big fat, "HUH?" I'll let you know what happens.
  19. Hey, I found this TRON related music video... it had me rolling on the floor laughing my a.... Anyway it's well done and you should get a laugh... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MP_G6arpVI
  20. I have an O2 myself, but only three pathetic little games. (K.C. Munchkin!, Alien Invaders - PLUS! and UFO!) I'd like to get AMOK! or something else, but I honestly have not turned the thing on in at least 6 months, so have a hard time justifying the expense when my other classic system hoovers up all available cash.
  21. Wow, I didn't know about that. Heck, even a partial implementation would be fun. Thanks!
  22. I think I may have found a 'period' (1982) video game that cannot be ported to the TI, even with an F18A and the full use of an UberCART to hold the different levels (separate games actually that would share the score information between them). -- I have a question though, would a 1024K SAMS bring it into the level of possibility? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXErtjerzYc
  23. I agree, anyone who craves the NEGATIVE attention like he seems to thrive on, has a few screws loose (IMHO). Combine that and his attitude... well, unless he does some serious growth in the next few years, I agree, he'll probably end up being be a felon. I really try not to be too judgmental, but I truly believe he's too stupid to realize people are laughing AT HIM and NOT with him.
  24. A games 7 cartridge sounds great. If there was a concerted effort to start now, it could easily be ready by the perfect release date of: 9/22/2016
