  1. The last three games I've played... 1) Super Mario Bros. (TI-99/4A) (Yes really) 2) Video Chess (TI-99/4A) 3) Road Hunter (TI-99/4a)
  2. You may have a preferred language in mind, and not want to learn another, but if you are not locked into one, you may want to give Stuart a PM. His Cortex BASIC seems well suited to playing with a UDS-10.
  3. Interesting, if you still live there, we are only about 20-25 miles apart. You'll probably not have much of a commute to the meeting!
  4. It's yours. Just send me a PM and we'll work out the details.
  5. Interesting... I loaded it up to test in Classic99 and even after a "CALL FILES (0)" I get... Never mind, got it running....
  6. Last year I needed an external case for a disk drive, and followed Gazoo's advice to get an EZ-135 case. As usual, Gazoo was right, the case is perfect and it even came with it's own power supply. My problem is, I'm getting too much junk piling up around here, and the EZ-135 drive is part of the stuff piling up. I've never used or tested it, the seller claimed it worked, but it's just been sitting in a drawer getting in the way. Anyway, is this thing just garbage? I can't imagine it's even worth the price of an envelope or the postage expense to ship it to anyone. Should I just round file it?
  7. Nice... but no links to each and every individual program? What!?! Who say's I ask too much!
  8. Over the years TI-BASIC has been relatively ignored and brushed aside for better, cooler or faster goodies. The thing is, in over 30 years, a few people have had to come up with something 'really neat' for good old TI-BASIC. So..... in your experience, what were the TWO BEST? The first being a game, the second being anything else like a utility, application or whatever. Oh yeah.... if you have the listing, even better.

  10. I have a couple of ideas in mind with meeting rooms, good food and within sight of the freeway. There are people from up north in Olympia, and I believe Tacoma and Seattle too that might not attend if they had to drive that far, so to be fair I'm trying to keep it in the center. We'll see what the interest levels are first.
  11. I can vouch for the Teac FD 235HF. They work great in either 40 or 80 track format.
  12. Well, depending on replies over the next month or two and the majority of respondents addresses, the location is still 'fluid'. I do have one easy to access location from the freeway in mind though. Who knows, this could end up being a big bust if no one is interested. I would like to keep this as near to geographic center between Seattle & Portland as possible though. I already have a cake in mind... one with an edible photo. (I got the idea from another thread).
  13. BITD some of the guys (that used non-TI cassette decks) purchased a little adapter that hooked on to the TI cassette cable. It resembled a 35mm film canister with a little pigtail on one end and a jack on the other IIRC. To be honest it's been so long I don't know if it was something to do with the remote jack or the audio line. Does anyone else remember better than I? If so, would one of those.. or a REMAKE of one of those help him out?
  14. With many of the new cartridge games requiring 32K, other cartridge based programs supporting or requiring the F18A and some programs being HDX compatible, I decided to make up and use little designation emblems on my future cartridge labels. Down the road some of you might even come up with your own emblems. The attached file below has the first three in case you care to adopt this method. CARTRIDGE COMPATIBILITY.zip
  15. Message #34 has been updated with a improved version of the cartridge label.
  16. Would something like this interest you? It appears there are more TI-99/4A users in the Pacific Northwest than one notices on a casual basis. Are YOU one of these Atari Age users? Do you live in Washington or Oregon within 50 miles of the I-5 corridor? If so, what do you think of a meeting sometime in April or possibly May? This thing could morph into anything at this point, it could be small, it could be large. It could be just to "talk TI" over lunch, or it could turn into a all-day thing with activities. It's all up to YOU... Replies, comments, questions? X
  17. Ciro, I like your layout better. What font did you use? After seeing yours, I no longer like mine... except for the Mario/TI logo on the left-hand side.
  18. In case Rasmus ever get's this into a downloadable cartridge image... Example View UPDATED HD version of downloadable label below... SMB-TI Cart Label V2.zip
  19. I'll pile on here... I have a short blog entry about this modification that also has a link to a great post with photos from sjt. << JUST CLICK HERE >>
  20. Hey Coolio, Very nice setup and I love that corner wraparound desk design. BTW - is that you sucking face in the photo?
  21. Obviously Rasmus' Super Mario Bros. will have to be added to this list! I'll hold off for a couple more weeks just in case anything else needs to be added to the list.
  22. I have like 15 other projects that NEED to get done, but Rasmus, our resident "Gamer God" so impressed me with his last addition that I just had to stop everything I was doing for about 45 minutes so I could make a teaser video using his new game to bring people to our little corner of Atari Age. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPtq8IRnDIM&feature=youtu.be
  23. Oh wow, WOW.... FREAKIN' WOW! I'll have to port this over to the R.I. this evening and see what it'll do!
