I don't make blog entries too often (only 24 so far), but as 2016 will be starting soon, I'd like to know what your favorite blog entry has been so far. I'd also like to get some input on what you might like to see in the future. After all, the whole point is 'to get read', so you gotta give the audience 'what they want'. Please, let me know. Thanks!

This is the WORST You Tube video of 2015 in my opinion. Sadly the little dweeb has gotten more views in a couple of hours than all of my videos have ever gotten combined. Please << CLICK THIS LINK TO THIS LITTLE TWITS VIDEO >> and be sure to click DISLIKE. Thank you!

Anyone here win this one? Perhaps a newbie to welcome aboard? Either way, congratulations!

Is this an optical illusion, or did the guy really hook up his disk drives like this? One cable looks grey and the other blue, but the look caught my attention. Auction LINK here It won't hurt anything, but I wonder... WHY?

I know! I'm was just getting a little impatient to see it as I'll be leaving to visit with family soon and was so looking forward to it.

If you got a modem or a UDS-10 for Christmas with no hookup cable, might I suggest an inexpensive alternative... < PART #1 > < PARTS # 2 & 3 >

While thinking about another issue for a kid with no phone access, I started thinking about Stuart's Internet Browser again. Now that it's on Cartridge, this could be the first kernel of a "PC ELIMINATOR MODULETM". With download capability, this thing would bring us to another level of TI Bliss. Imagine, while browsing on your TI, being able to save files DIRECTLY to your TI's storage device for instant access, then with a program like DM2K to control those files. Of course Cortex BASIC would also have to be on there, especially since it looks like it can do at least partial Email. I'm betting down-the-road Cortex BASIC will probably even have a program or two that will let TI'ers play head-to-head over the Internet. A "PC-Eliminator ModuleTM" and as little as a Nano-PEB with a UDS-10 attached could do so much.

YEP. -
THANK YOU Sparkdrummer, I'll test these out in a week or two and make up some easy instructions that an 8 year old can comprehend. This will probably work out for him.

Seeing that monster-sized cartridge makes me appreciate the Uber Cart so much more.

First, to copy things into and out of a .DSK image will require Ti99Dir... << Click this link to download TI99Dir version 6.2 >> <--- AWESOME PROGRAM Okay now that you have that, you still may have some issues with your programs working if your 32K is truly bad. If it is, there are a couple of options, buying a new card or participating in this thread starting << HERE >>. Of course I'd try to dig up a program to check that before proceeding. Assuming things are working, once you get everything 'just so' in the .DSK image, use the Lotharek software to convert it into an .HFE and you'll be good to go. Good Luck, Ω -
(Hardware) Project of the 'calendar quarter'

I think he was referring to using his PCB design with the chips on-board. There may be some placement issues under the clam-shell for those who choose go that route. -
Cool Editor / Assembler or E/A... I've never seen it called Edi Ass before. It makes me think of...

Unfortunately no PC will be involved by the end user. The idea is for the kid to be able take a file from a Nano-PEB's CF card and put it on tape. Then he could switch CF cards and move the program from tape to the other CF card. I know, what KLUDGE! I doubt the required utility would be loadable from tape... that would be too simple. I figure a program like this would have to be installed on both CF cards before delivery.

Today I renewed my subscription to Atari Age for another year. $30.00 per year is only $2.50 per month. That's quite a value in entertainment if you ask me. Less than a single cup off coffee for a months worth of fun.

I'm not personally a cassette user, they're too slow for me, so I've not kept up-to-date on software (if any) to enhance their use. I have a kernel of an idea forming that maybe someone can help me determine the viability of the idea or if anything to accomplish the task already exists. I'm wondering is there a directory/menu or file transfer type program that can copy ANY FILE TYPE using a cassette recorder? If I could get a program like that onto a CF card, it would then be possible to transfer files back and forth between CF cards using a cassette recorder. Yes, it would be gawd awfully slow and painful to use, but if it worked, it would be a step in the right direction. If this project is viable, I figure I'd need to put a couple of things onto a cassette myself, so a cheap Chinese USB sound card from Ebay would be necessary. << HERE >>. My question is, does anyone know for a fact which (if any) is non-attenuating? Thanks Guys
