  1. I'm not sure if there are any currently available boards for this particular 32K upgrade. HOWEVER a number of us are actively getting ready for << THIS VERSION of the 32K upgrade >> in January. In fact many of us already have the parts and are just waiting for work, holidays and other things to get out of the way before we start. Check it out, you may find it a viable alternative.
  2. I'm sorry, I never have and never will "camp-out" in line for ANY product. My time is valuable, I have a life and I'll not waste it waiting for an extended period in line just for the "opportunity" to hand over money to a store. I'm not sure what drives people to be mindless consumers of products like Apple. Is it something like this... "I wanna be the first in line line to pay hundreds of dollars (that I can't really afford) for this new branded phone that has two new functions!" I always wonder if their self-esteem is so low that they think 10 minutes of possible "bragging rights" to other people in line is worth it. I don't think so, but then again this is only MY opinion. FWIW.
  3. Here is another cartridge label if anyone is interested....
  4. Oh yeah! It's available NOW! Just follow that great link Stuart gave you and you'll see everything there is on Cortex BASIC. I would suggest you look around on the rest of the page too because he has some really cool stuff there! A totally "Shameless Plug" to my You Tube Video on making a Cortex BASIC cartridge. Oh yeah... there 'just might' be an incredibly and totally awesome application coming out for this down the road a bit that will blow your mind.
  5. I agree. While I'll still have it printed out in the Black & Silver colors, I may still end up doing some fine sanding to smooth everything out perfect, then spray paint it with color matched paint.
  6. Interesting arrangement on the other side too!
  7. You know, the "Ultimate Solution TM" would be an easy-loading E/A 5 program or a cartridge-based program that asked a couple of simple questions and did the rest "auto-magically"... UDS-10 Format Switcher Which RS-232 is the device on? : 2 Which device do you want to use? A for TIMXT, B for Internet Browser : A
  8. Right now, everything depends on availability. For the most part I have my system expanded, which has put a serious crimp in my hobby enjoyment. As a fall-back measure I've been grasping at other ways to enhance my classic system. My "Holy Grail" for 2016 is a DSDD floppy controller clone for the TI's Peripheral Expansion Box, until I get that, I simply can't get enthused about putting anything on SD card images as I don't like to re-do everything, which will be necessary during a change of format. My fingers are crossed on this item. I also plan to get at least another 4 or 5 "Uber Carts".
  9. Thanks, I'll check it (flow control) and try again tomorrow morning.. I have get ready and leave for work right now.
  10. Yeah, that's how I do it from the PC... it just does not seem to want to work from the TI.
  11. For TIMXT I use: BAUD : 4800 IFMODE : 4C FLOW : 02 PORT : 32 CONNECT : D6 For the Browser I use: BAUD : 19200 IFMODE : FC FLOW : 00 PORT : 10001 CONNECT : D4
  12. The Situation I've been using the PC to switch back and forth between settings for Stuart's Internet Browser and Tim's TIMXT program that I use to call the BBS. The Requirement I'd like to be able to remove the PC requirement from the equation. Has anyone yet figured out a way to set the UDS-10 from the TI side? Can it be done? If so, I've not figured it out. Since I'll probably have need to switch back and forth more often in the near future, it sure would be nice to do it all on the TI.
  13. Woo Hoo! Gazoo is going to hit 1K before the new year! Be part of the team that put's him over the top. He only has 50 more to go! So go read some "Gazoo" and if you like it, click it!
  14. That really sucks, sorry to hear that.
  15. I might have to give it a try myself... never used it. Are we gonna have to come up with a 'hangout' name first?
  16. I think you win the award for the week. Neat idea.
  17. It's a great program, and the cartridge version is a snap to load and run over earlier versions.
  18. I don't normally play around with this sort of thing, but it occurs to me that while beta testing something, or for walking someone through something, a voice chat option would sure be nice to use in addition to Atari Age. Since it's not something we would all use on a regular basis, I'm wondering if there are any free or public license versions available for the PC. If we all had the same utility, we could 'hop on chat' once in a while we are cruising A.A. Just an idea.... P.S. I'm not talking about some mega-commercial software like Skype.
  19. Can we figure out a suitable set of lyrics for all twelve days? Let's start off with day one... On the first day of TI, my wife/girl friend/significant other gave to me, a ___________________________ in a ___________________________.

Sounds good so far... now << CLICK HERE >> to download the latest version of Fred Kaal's Ti99Dir directly from his website. Just play around with it a little, you'll get the hang of it. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!
  21. No, just someones animation for a 512K cart, but it must have been repeated a lot of times as it does not even need 32K to run.
