  1. Three bucks!?! What color was the mask you were wearing?
  2. My problem has always been many ideas, but not enough time to do anything about them, in fact three or four ideas just popped into my mind while writing this. Of course I also have no knowledge of GPL and honestly never will.
  3. Thanks Greg, Unfortunately that's currently above my knowledge level, but it's great to know. I have no immediate need for one myself, but if one ever became available I'd probably pop for it.
  4. This thread has been interesting... ...but in the end it's mostly OPINION, and like posteriors, we all have one. Granted there can be many things that influence us like, picture quality, space requirements, availability, price, etc. Whatever you chose for your setup... as long as you are happy, you made the right decision for you.
  5. Good idea... which lines? Could we get by with a SPST or do we need something lager than a 4PST?
  6. Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if an FPGA based floppy drive controller is a possibility. It would probably not be practical to make of course for the smaller quantities that would be sold, but with a TI that has 32K built-in, having a Lotharek HxC in a little case like this with it's own controller would sure be cool.
  7. Adam, You'll love the Extended BASIC 2.7s cartridge by the late Gazoo. Not only will you have Extended BASIC in the cart, but the Editor/Assembler and so much more too. It's the best cartridge I've ever seen... I doubt that cartridge will be topped for quite some time... if ever.
  8. With all the recent interest in cartridges, and the 32k internal memory project starting next quarter, would any be interested in a contest to see who could make the best new cartridge utilizing the UberGROM?
  9. Just got notice that it's been shipped. I can't wait for January to roll around so I'll have time to do this project. I'll probably even make a video.
  10. Yeah... blame THAT on Atari Age! It's the main reason I always add 'Other' or 'N/A' to my polls.
  11. Something came to my attention from another part of Atari Age, and while I'll probably never have need or want of the ICSP port, some of you might be interested in this mod to turn the TL866CS into an TL866A. Has anyone here in the TI group performed << THIS >>?
  12. Would anyone be interested in clear stickers for their modified "Internal 32K " consoles? This is just an idea, I'm not setup to print them, but as time allows I could make up a few different sizes and fonts to get a 'final product'... if someone else is willing to print them off for everyone who wants one.
  13. Mine still works too, but then again it gets used only about 0.00000000001 % of the time...
  14. One console is enough for me (at least right now). Anyway I just put my order in so I'll be ready in January.
  15. Hmm, I thought it did. Since this is about the "Christmas Season & Making NEW Cartridges, I figured I'd see who's going to get one under their Christmas tree this year. Hence the question: If you answered "No" to question #1, do you plan to get one for Christmas this year? This way Jim can get an idea on how many more cartridges he's gonna have to make too. It looks like seven of us are going to need one if not more cartridges and possibly nine people... so far.
  16. Excuse me, I hope I'm not being out-of-line here, but in reading these two public posts, I'm detecting 'something' that 'could' be interesting.... ... anything new and exciting that an UberGROM blue board could handle?
  17. Nothing wrong with a good plug now and then! I've gotten a cartridge or two from both Greg and Jim. In fact I'm waiting to hear back from Jim when he has his next batch ready. You can << CLICK HERE >> and look for the little flashing to see the recent .BIN's.
  18. Christmas Season Poll 1) Lot's of new games and cartridge images have been made this year. 2) Many more games and compilations seem to be on the way. 3) One future game appears too big for disk so the full version will only be on cartridge. 4) At least one application is slated for cartridge revision (to give it more memory/utility). Please, whether or not you have a EEPROM programmer, or whether or not you ever plan on getting one, let's figure out where the community sits on this... this may be the season for TI Cartridges! Let's find out!
  19. Speaking of the wire... has anyone located a cheaper source? I plan to order in the next week, so when January comes around I'll have the stuff to start along with everyone else.
  20. Jim put an XB2.7S cartridge in his casket IIRC.
  21. Yeah, but the futurists NEVER seem to account for lack of political will or lack of adequate funding due to economic issues or pressures. Those two mentioned items slow advancement more than most things. Sadly, I'll probably croak before I see people walk on another planet.
  22. ... of course I'd even 'settle' on this...
  23. I always liked the look of this ship myself...
