[Security Monitors play PAL games?]

Hi, at my work we just got a newer security system with a monitor in the back room. I was watching them hook it in and when they were done i went to go check it out and, to my surprise, there were 'V-Hold' and a 'H-Hold' knobs at the bottom. in theroy you COULD play PAL games on this, am i right? im sure they probably cost more then just getting a PAL tv and shipping it, but maybe if i found an old secrurity monitor it would work? any thoughts?

a bunch of the games i used to love barely work now, orig. running on a win 95 and now a win xp i dont think that collecting will become popular very much, but the people who REALLY want to im sure have an old computer dedicated to 90's computer gaming, i have a win 98 machine in my room, and it runs more 90's games then my XP so i use that, so i really have no idea

with all due respect to this guy, he REALLY needs to get a life, there is more to life then breaking every atari 2600 record in existance, i would understand if he had 4 or even 5 records, but with scores and marathons that last more then a day is just plain insane, get some friends, a different hobby, do some community service, SOMTHING
