  1. Hi All, Was tinkering with my HDX RS-232 card and seem to have blown away the DSR. The machine won't start with the interrupt jumper on - so my question is, what would be the correct process to reload the DSR. Do I need to tinker with this jumper? The only com program I have that works is Zterm80 - and it seems to require the interrupt jumper be on. So what is exactly the process... don't want to fry my one connection to the non-TI world... Cheers, Arthur...
  2. This is what I have with the most recent version I could find... Locks up hard when a key is pressed... RS-232 and modem work with Zterm80.
  3. Using my TI-RS232 w HDX mod it just locks up... other terminal programs work... Ideas???

  5. The version for the TI-RS232 card???
  6. Is there a place I can look for the latest non-NANO PEB version?!?
  7. What is the best F18A capable terminal program and where can I find the latest version??? Been looking everywhere!
  8. Are there any updates to this software and where can it be found?!?
  9. Is there a F18A compatible terminal program? I have something on my FlashROM but it seems corrupted - garbage at the bottom of the screen and all.
  10. Mass Transfer just locks up from xb2.7, perhaps it doesn't like the HDX mod on the card??? I am able to use it with ZTERM, comes up "ROM Interrupt Mode Activated" and seems to work slowly (misses keystrokes and such when attempting to post - annoying) at least the card is talking to the modem.
  11. What could be the best terminal program for accessing the Hidden Reef. Just got the modem working again...
  12. Whoops - need to clear your good name... a Senior Moment on my part... here is a screenshot of the test that's calling a bad card good. It was part of a FlashROM99 collection I downloaded and copied to an SD card.

  14. The stuff U need... Don't use pliers or a C clamp - you'll just wind up busting more connectors... (props however to those who made that work) LOL https://www.amazon.com/Accessories-Crimp-Ribbon-Cable-Connectors/dp/B007R2JEM4/ https://www.amazon.com/PC-Accessories-Card-Edge-Connector/dp/B008U5UCSW/ https://www.amazon.com/Uxcell-Ribbon-Extension-Cable-Pitch/dp/B01325U34W/
  15. A ribbon crimping tool is pretty cheap, as is ribbon cable. I bit the bullet and just bought the connectors, cable and parts. Normally I'd offer to make one and mail it to you for free except I am overseas and the parts are in my garage. But it's a worthy tool and skill to have.
  16. I did swap out the firehose - and the other cards all seem OK. My issue could be voltage - I'm using a chinese made 220 to 110VAC converter (which actually powers a set of 110V outlets in my house) - so someone might have shorted it out by plugging a 220 appliance into another outlet or something while the system was on. Who knows...
  17. Yep - the DSR load program is useless - the moment I flip the switch on the card the thing loses it's mind. (the LED starts flashing intermittently and the console goes into a noisy seizure)
  18. Hi All, Looks like the memory card wasn't the only one fried. I have a dead P-GRAM+ board on my hands and this one is way beyond my capabilities to repair. Is there anyone who might be able to fix it - or shall I start shopping for a frame and mounting materials?!? System will not start with the card enabled - turning on the switch prior to loading the DSR corrupts the display and the LED flashes intermittently - makes me wonder if the card is getting enough power. Other cards - MYARC DDSS-1, Firehose, 32K mem and RS-232 w HDX seem OK. However, sometimes I needs to power the console on, off, and back on again to get the PEB going. Frankly - the FlashROM is way better in many ways - but it was nice to have the clock... Cheers, Arthur...
  19. Hi All, Brought a whole bunch of parts back to my place in Manila - and it seems like my first guess was right. Bad 32K memory card. All is running now - and I am happy. However, I am confused about a few things... The Corcomp Diagnostics 32K card test reported the original card bad. The Tursi 32K test passed it... (thinks the old card is good) With the old card all apps requiring the card lock / never start and work fine with the tested good card I brought. So what's up with that?!? What would cause a card to fail? (I am guessing crappy 110v converters here... who knows... I should pull out my multi-meter to make sure I'm not feeding the PEB 150 VAC... LOL) Secondly - anyone out there know how to repair a 32K card? Seems a shame to chuck it away. Or perhaps a guide - and I can give it a shot myself??? Cheers, Arthur...
  20. Can't wait for the FinalGROM... The FR99 has completely changed the way I use the TI... Gone are the days when I burned lots of ROM's and suffered in hex editors trying to make cart dumps load on my P-GRAM+... In terms of this wifi enabled memory card... I may break out the soldering iron and see if I can create a completely self contained cart. If the wifi card is essentially a SMB style server - then it could participate in my network like any other windows share. That beats the heck out of removing and inserting memory cards.
  21. Has anyone been able to run it successfully / completely off a hard disk or HDX1? For a while I was trying to put together an optimal FW setup but the number of moving parts and the time I had to spend editing device names and such became too much of a hassle.
  22. Well - one that works on the TI is also of strong interest...
  23. No - I've tried... but I'd be so happy if that was not the case...
