Both released versions are VERY big. I got the 2 controller port version at a very decent price but if this version was released, I'd have bought it instead.
I misread and didn't realize insertclevernamehere was talking about controllers, so if they don't cost over $35, shipping isn't free, though amazon.com would charge import fees that would bump up the price, so there's that.
I certainly hope so. You can't play two button 7800 games with the joystick supplied with the system. I'm sure original 7800 controllers are compatible but it would be nice to have brand new and affordable controllers, especially the d-pad controllers, which are quite expensive.
@TrogdarRobusto Will Atari make new Atari 7800 joystick and d-pad controllers as well? Those controllers had two buttons for 7800 games and neither are included with the Atari 2600+.
My country is listed but the payment method I normally use isn't accepted there. I'll just bide my time until there's another option or see if someone I know will order it for me. Thanks anyway!
It appears they added more countries since I replied to Tickled_Pink but unfortunately, still none for my country and payment method. Hopefully, it will become available at AtariAge or StoneAgeGamer.
Excellent! I know you're overwhelmed with all of the orders from the last chance sale, so I appreciate the quick reply. I messaged you a couple questions about the custom games, one of which was adding them to my order from the last chance sale. I hope you see them in time. Congratulations on the agreement and becoming a full-time employee at Atari. I know this is a big deal for you.
@Albert Would you please send me a PayPal invoice for Space Invaders for Atari 7800 NTSC with Box Upgrade? I forgot to add it to my order. Also, do you still have any copies of Turbo or is it already sold out?
Thanks!
I don't have the know-how for replacing the chip, so perhaps I should just get it soldered on. I live in Canada, so it would be much better to order them together. Thanks for the reply!
Which is better for someone like me who just wants to plug it in and play? The basic version, soldered on or the basic version, socketed for $15.00? Are the CEMs add-ons to the Concerto? I'm wondering if I should wait to place an order for a Concerto.
