  1. I had some problems and I got DIY unocart working in 2018. I didnt login to atariage for a time so I m posting this now.
  2. this seller ( http://www.ebay.com/usr/tikma_electronics) has those chips , I bought MN4164P-15A chips from this seller and they work fine.
  3. You should use dir2atr on pc and prepare the contents of the .atr file with dir2atr , put a dos in the atr file and the *.bas file which you want to execute in the same atr file. to do that create a directory and put the dos file and the bas file in it. Then execute dir2atr and choose the directory which contains the dos and the bas file. it will convert it to .atr file. then copy that atr file to your sd card and put the sd card in your sio2sd . The trick is , you can not do what you are wanting with all dos versions. you should try one by one , which dos works good for loading .bas files with it. For me mydos 4.53 works good with my unocart. for sio2sd maybe another dos version works good , you can download a huge dos repository from here : http://redirect.viglink.com/?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_149816525084413&key=bbb516d91daee20498798694a42dd559&libId=j48wrl8u010004m6000DAew4flkgktk09&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fatari.boards.net%2Fthread%2F53%2Fclassic-menus-utility-disks&v=1&out=http%3A%2F%2Fredirect.viglink.com%2F%3Fkey%3Dbbb516d91daee20498798694a42dd559%26u%3Dhttps%253A%2F%2Fdrive.google.com%2Fuc%253Fexport%253Ddownload%2526id%253D0B6IjqB2ttjP0c3FVNVpyMWFsRGs&title=Classic%20Menus%20%2F%20Utility%20Disks%20%7C%20Atari%20Sector&txt=drive.google.com%2Fuc%3Fexport%3Ddownload%26amp%3Bid%3D0B6IjqB2ttjP0c3FVNVpyMWFsRGs to test if it works : after booting with sio2sd . type dos type A to see the contents if you can see the .bas file , press reset or type B (can not know which one because I dont have a sio2sd) try both of them one by one. you should get a ready prompt. type : LOAD "D1:PROGRAM.BAS note : change the PROGRAM.BAS with the name of the bas file before typing .then type LIST . if it doesnt list the contents of the .bas file or locks etc.. , then the dos version you used is not compatible. try this until you can see the contents of the bas file.
  4. a late answer but , I think the problem is because of the different head adjustments of the boombox and the xc12 . the symptoms direct me to there. If you can adjust the bookbox's tape player head adjustment same as the xc12's and use a8cas software then it should work.
  5. sure they were more expensive here, than in the UK. I had no choice but to like my tape drive and I neednt be unhappy because of not having a disk drive nor a cartridge. At least they are 30 years old and still working if compared to my usb drives which usually gets broken after a few years
  6. We also do not need real atari computer hardware because we have super fast emulators , if we look at the subject from that angle. Using emulated drives or emulated carts , makes me feel that my atari is running on pc emulator . For me , nothing else gives the pleasure of loading games and progs from tape , as if I am in old days
  7. I will mod my 410 because some 30 years tapes struggle to load . Antics mod or atari's mod , which one do you advice ?
  8. This makes it closer to the real thing , a kind of simulation . In real lotto , there is no chance a number to be picked again and say oh this was picked lets pick another. So this code is closer to the real thing.
  9. I put the FOR to line 125 , because I wanted the whole process repeat , and put the next to 290 in that situation it gave an error which I fixed by adding a CLR before 130 , but that killed the "for next " . that shows you are good at this , thank you very much
  10. I met a basic program on youtube , I wanted to make it run 8 times consecutively. I tried it with for next , but I couldnt do it . here is the link of the video of the short basic program. what I want is the program run 8 times and stop. seems simple but I could not.
  11. that really is a valuable piece of work. Thank you very much for your efforts. I needed this bad when I tried to repair my 410. Now I can try to repair it myself with confidence.
  12. should this (http://www.bytecellar.com/2017/05/30/the-wonderful-wifi232-bbsing-has-literally-never-been-easier/ ) work with 800xl's ?
