  1. No, that uses audio/video in. You need audio/video out.
  2. It appears as if many of them are sealed. Not sure if factory sealed, the shrinkwrap seemed kind of sketchy on the CD-I games.
  3. It looks like 25 from each website is cheaper from videogameboxprotectors.com. http://www.clearbags.com/box/clear/dim/4-5-8-x-3-5-8-x-6-5-8-crystal-clear-boxes-25-pieces-tb98.html http://www.videogameboxprotectors.com/#/store/4569532134 And $13 shipping to Canada, I can get 25 for $30. I'm also looking for clear bags for the instruction manuals for loose games and also possibly clear bags (or pages like hockey cards) for my Transformers instruction booklets.
  4. Checked out my local Cash Converters today, it's like a big pawn shop. I'm wondering if any of these are a good deal since I don't really know anything about these systems.
  5. Also got this for $5 from a used game store.
  6. When you work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week like I do. It's not hard to decide between sleeping and looking something up on the internet. I just bought a toy for $1000 and had to snag it right away because it was actually quite a good deal. Then afterwards I was lucky enough to have some time right away to research how to tell a knock off from a real one. If I discovered it was a knock off I could always have my bid cancelled because he was selling a fake. It turned out the toy was real and I paid within 5 minutes of getting the invoice. Had I been busier that day it would have taken quite a while for me to be able to look that up, maybe upwards of a week. Here's another scenario, I win an auction from someone and they have another item ending in 10 days which I also want and I'd like to combine the shipping. I can't pay for this item because I need a revised invoice with combined shipping charges once all auctions have ended. I do this a lot. I receive packages from Ebay at least 4 days a week, more than every second day. My record month was 60 purchases in 30 days.
  7. To be honest I normally pay right away, sometimes it'll go for 5-7 days if I need to research something before paying. This case is just because the seller is local and we can't find a time convenient for both of us to meet up. Every weekend we're both too busy it seems.
  8. I can get 25 online shipped to me for $30 but I'm wondering if there's anywhere cheaper. I need about 25 NES and maybe 10-25 Atari 2600. I'd also like some of those small sleeves for putting instruction manuals into as well. If there's a good place in Calgary, Alberta let me know, otherwise let me know the best place online to get them. Thanks.
  9. 4 days? Relax. I won an auction a month ago and haven't paid for it yet, maybe I'll get around to it this weekend.
  10. I got confused when Microsoft released a console. They sell a computer which lets you play games and now they sell a smaller white computer which.......lets you play games. I don't get it, why do they have 2 different pieces of hardware doing the exact same thing? And why would anyone buy the console when the entire computer is cheaper and does everything the console does and more? I could never figure it out.
  11. People are still making Atari games? That's awesome, how long does it take to write the code? How long to learn the code? I'm a software developer myself, this sounds like it could be fun. Oh and I ordered a boxed copy. Thanks!
  12. You're really going to hate me now. I just went through the huge stack of manuals I got with that big lot the guy gave me and found these. Are these rare too?
  13. Cool. So for a total of $15 I got 85 games including Smurfs, Berenstain Bears and Spider Maze. Looks like I'm off to a good start. Is Berenstain Bears rarer than Spider Maze? It's probably worth much less with the hole in the front of the label. I was given about 80 in the first lot and I just bought 5 more for $3 each. I just spent an hour playing Demon Attack, that's an awesome game! Probably my favourite in the lot.
  14. Awesome but I guess it's worth zero until you sell it and I've become a hoarder now. MORE GAMES!
  15. That's nothing. I thought you were going to say $1000.
  16. No, I'm serious. What's it worth? I couldn't find any on Ebay.
  17. Hey, check this out, I bought some more. I won 2 local Ebay auctions for Nintendo games and since they were local, I just went by their house and picked them up. Got them both for $10 total. Some pretty fun games. Then they said they had more so I found these and picked them up for $10 each. Captain Comic has the instructions. Then I got into the controllers and picked up a wireless Gamecube controller for $15 and got a Starfox manual for free. Then I found a huge box full of Atari games so I picked these up. Are they worth anything? Are they fun? I got them for $3 each. I don't even know what the shark one is. Then, as a Transformers collector as well I found this and bought it for $40. Looks like a normal Slag with a broken tail right? Wrong. It's the ultra rare Canadian version with the red face, red hands and white legs. This piece is now the center piece for my collection, I never thought I'd see the day that a Canadian Slag would be among my Transformers display. Anyway, thanks for looking, sorry I went on a tangent away from Atari but I just had to share my joy!
  18. Sounds about right, numbers 1 and 5 are the most money there. There is also a number 6 I don't have and looks like that guy didn't have neither. It sells for about $60, I should have it soon. Had it in my hands at the expo last weekend but had already spent way too much money. It was either that or Metal Storm and Metal Storm won out.
  19. Ya, I just picked up most of those Mega Man cartridges, got most of them in the last 2 weeks: Mega Man - $50 (toy expo last weekend) Mega Man 2 - $20 (Ebay) Mega Man 4 - $30 (Ebay) for one copy last month and I got another in the lot from that guy Mega Man 5 - $65 (toy expo last weekend) Dragon Warrior - free, a friend bought it for $7 at a flea market to play at my house Dragon Warrior - second copy, paid $5 at a toy expo last year Dragon Warrior - got another one in the lot from that guy Dragon Warrior 2 - $5 at a toy expo last year Dragon Warrior 3 - $55 at a toy expo last weekend I also picked up Metal Storm at the Toy Expo, that's a pretty rare game. I bought it from a guy that had 3 copies of Little Samson, one complete in box. I held 2 of them in my hands, should have taken a picture of it. And like I said, I created this guy a Hyperspin system so as payment he gave me everything I helped him replace. If you don't know what Hyperspin is, check it out. The system I set him up with has every Atari game every created on one system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4viDiAqEG4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y76_LLq4FI
  20. Okay, here are some of the other things I got in the pile from him. Playstation 2 games, anything of interest? And the controllers for the Atari 2600. My complete collection of N64 games. Top 2 rows he gave me, bottom 2 rows I got myself. Super Nintendo games he gave me. Anything of interest? And some of the more notable pieces of my personal NES collection. This is the system I actively collect for. And I play all my games regularly. Boxes:
  21. That's really cool, is there any sort of prototype cartridge for this game? I was very surprised not to see Combat, and actually quite disappointed. I liked that game as a kid, I was looking forward to playing it again. Then I saw it at Cash Converters (second hand store) for $1 so the disappointment quickly passed. They have piles of old games, they've had a huge pile of Intellivision boxed games sitting there for months, all $5 each.
  22. Nice, I have the red grip as well, he was telling me I can interchange them. Canada. Free health care!
  23. I like to play all my games so they won't be on display but I'l definitely find a better place to store them. And yes, I was very surprised to see how white the Super Nintendo was but he had a flood in his house years ago and the particular box with the Super Nintendo and N64 had water stains on it. When I took both systems out, they were full of mold. I cleaned them up with a cloth and some mild detergent, they came out all right. Not sure if they work though. Yes, I have 2 Power Gloves now, I actually have a Christmas video of me opening mine as a child. I used it for about 5 minutes, then put it in a drawer somewhere, so lame. Wow, Spider Maze is quite rare, I had no idea! I also didn't know about Smurfs but when I put that cartridge in it didn't seem to work. He said he had some sort of Smurfs adapter attachment or something he's giving me, I just assumed you needed that for the game to work. Maybe I should have jiggled it or something. Ocarina Of Time, yes, he gave me a few games in that price range. Ocarina Of Time, A Link To The Past, Super Castlevania IV, Dodgeball and Mega Man 4. They all seem to be worth about $40. He also gave me a 76 in 1 Nintendo game cartridge. I'll post a better picture of my Super Nintendo games when I get a chance. Excellent, maybe I'll put these aside, though I like to play my games. I can't decide. Why are they so rare? Any reason?
  24. Hey guys, I've been looking for an old Atari 2600 for a long time but just couldn't afford one, they go for about $120 here with a pile of games. So I put a Hyperspin system together for a guy just recently and he dug a pile of boxes out of his basement for me, said I could just have them. And this is only half, he said he has this many again he's going to give me. Just behind the games on the right you can see the 2600 with the metal stripe across it. I thought they were all wooden, never seen one like this before, but it works great. I tried the games and only 2 or 3 didn't work. Here are the games, is anything here rare and should be kept somewhere safer than the floor? Nice to meet everyone, I just came over here looking for information on the second Air Raid box which was found, I thought it was an interesting story. And up until last week I thought it was only the one box. Now I'm reading through the whole thread where people thought it was an April Fools joke. Hilarious.
