hey walter, you must make sure that your ports are turned on in the BIOS. i've lost many a night wondering why i couldnt get a printer to work only to have to have it on and the setting correct in the BIOS....
  6. got my BS from helper, THANKS MAN! and the sad thing? i probably wont have time to play it until next weekend... DOH!
  7. anyone? help me end this painful quest!
  8. ACK! cassidy? you are converting a star wars upright to a mame cab? oh man, restore that machine, throw in the empire strikes back roms and play those two games alone. i'm converting an upright now for mame and it only cost me $100 for the jamma cabinet. please, for the love of all things holy, leave your star wars as is!
  9. hey hedgehog, "why is the xbox so damn huge?" why is the engine block of a dodge viper so freakin large? raw power baby!
  10. what's next? my suggestion the XE. or was that XEGS? anywho, it's kind of the last atari dedicated cart machine before the "new" atari. yes, i know, floppies will work with it but it would be a good place to start the 8-bit section. and no, i wouldn't like to see this section because it is the last atari system i need keep up the great work guys.
  11. hi all, just ordered my ntsc sentinel which only leaves me with one game to complate my 7800 production run, mean 18. i haven't seen it on ebay in months, anyone have a cart they would like to sell? manual would be nice too, not interested in the box (course if someone has a complete, i won't pass it by...) thanks
  12. got your response helper, paypal coming this weekend for ya!
  13. hey helper, i've emailed you but haven't got a response. thunderbird, i'm not sure a project that took 4 or 6 years to complete would be the best example of a succesful telecommuting story. KIDDING! can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the game...
  14. hi rangerg, probably my post about lunx games? i don't think i was very clear. what i meant was all games that were released within the the officially supported lynx's life span. we all know that there are still games coming out and i will get to those eventually. i have to start somewhere and picking up the titles that came out up to the day when atari killed the cat is a good place to start for me
  15. hey mark, how do you get past the pal on an ntsc machine?
  16. hi all, looking to complete my lynx collection, was hoping someone could email me a list of all released games for the lynx (all the atari releases, i'll dig into songbird releases after, sorry carl! ). i know the info is out there but i always see discrepencies in lists. hoping someone will help, tony [email protected]
  17. and don't have time to watch auctions really. i'll offer $175 for a used copy if anyone wants to sell...
  18. not that we forget adrian, simply that nintendo and sega were once BITTER rivals, trying to win the same market. sonic on the neo pocket, sega wasn't in competition with the pocket since they backed out of the handheld market. so, that's the difference really... and didn't sonic appear on the game.com also?
  19. i would have burned mine too, and smoked it!
  20. hi all, the time is almost upon me to buy a cabinet and convert it to a MAME machine. i ahve seen some one ebay that looked nice (jamma) and that i think would be easy to convert. i would much rather buy locally (sf bay area) so if anyone knows of anywhere around here, feedback is always welcome i did see an "aliens vs. predator" on ebay that had a three person layout, 3 buttons each. the nice thing about that machine is the counter-like top which looks like it would be easy enough to remove to add more buttons, trackball, spinner, etc. please let me know of any resources that you all feel i should look into around here. thanks all
  21. someguy, you must really suck at FPS shooters if you don't know how to circle-strafe...
  22. hi all, sorry for the off topic post but this is the forum that gets the most hits and i only have one day before these auctions end. everyone here has been so helpful so here is my dilema. i am in the market to buy an arcade cab to use as a MAME machine and stumbled across these two on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?V...item=1073149670 http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?V...item=1073608090 so, they are both for the japanese market. is that the same power consumption as here in the states? they are both jamma cabs, relatively easy to convert with a PC inside? please help folks, only a day left on the auctions! i am leaning to the first link with the 25" monitor...
  23. i also have two copies, one of which still has EVERYTHING in their original plastic bags, unopened. great game. it HAS been converted on the vectrex (never released commercially but found and is now a ROM, available on kellys multi-cart, not that great). it really is a GREAT board game...
