  1. Just a question as I have none to sell but if people are having an issue with shipping could they rip them and send you the digital version? It sounds like a good idea to save this stuff.
  2. I read an interview from the developer and it was done in a short time to maximize merchandising. Speilberg reportedly wanted a Pac Man clone because he felt something simple would fit better. The developer said his ambition got away from him.
  3. I read where they are going to re-bury most of the site. I don't have an interest either way but if people are concerned they should come up with an environmental reason to stop it. The carts contain toxic solder I'm sure and the shells would be better suited to recycling than to be left buried.
  4. I've just got to ask, doesn't this seem fake to anyone else? He had a pristine ET cart other than a little dirt on the edges. Another was a crushed box with the manual visible and no water damage or staining from dirt.
  5. I think I want them to be the label out, open design. I like having the end labels all facing out lined up and pretty.
  6. Well, I would if I had it to do over. Stick with mono that is. I have a modded NES top loader and went with dual mono on it as well despite some NES games actually being in stereo for some reason. It's really not as bad as I made it out to be though. It's just not something worth worrying about either and splitting the channels is in no way what the game devs. intended.
  7. I want a copy of Truxton. I don't care if it has a good label, rental stickers, marker whatever. I just want a copy of the game in a cartridge that isn't physically broken.
  8. While I don't need anymore Atari boxes if someone has a tower like these I might be tempted to buy them.
  9. edit--- I have all I need, thanks for the help ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Realizing that my collection has grown I may need more of the cart storage boxes than originally planned. I realize Genesis carts can fit in cassette storage boxes but I have two black official boxes now and mould like a third. Basically what I'm asking is if anyone here has boxes for the three systems I collect for to let me know what they look like and I may want them. They don't have to be the same black ones but I would probably prefer that. I don't like ones that are meant to be carried. Photos are for reference of what I use now.
  10. Owning a stereo model I can perhaps say why you don't see it. It sucks donkey privates. Ok, not really but the games are not meant to be in stereo. Rather than having a left and right it's two sound channels that are meant as one being split into stereo. That means that in a game like Combat you may hear the tanks out of the left and the missiles out of the right. The console is mono so the games were made in mono. Barring somebody being creative with a homebrew stereo is worse that sticking with what was intended in my opinion.
  11. Search Ebay Canada. The Epyx500 may be harder to find but Sega controllers work, both Master System and Genesis. Both should be easy to find. the 500 uses microswitches rather than the usual plastic over button design. It's easy to move and will last forever. Skip all the others and just get it if you don't want a game pad.
  12. Well I think my Genesis 3 is the coolest. Then again I have a Snes Jr, a Sears Arcade 2, NES top loader and a Sega Master System 2. I like the latter releases of consoles. Re: the pbc. If I were to get another Genesis I would indeed get a 1 with the matching CD. It looks good that way.
  13. I'm thinking about hunting down a copy of Sonic Jam 6. Has anyone here played it? Any suggestions on where to get a copy? I'd want a nice cart only of it.

  15. Perhaps communication is part of the issue then? The old timers all know each other and where to go and people trying to get in now including end users don't know the secret handshake. Going to google just brings up a list of people looking for shells and forum posts telling people they aren't made. Even your site Chris doesn't list them for sale. I had to contact Roland (VectrexRoli) to find out where he got his from. Perhaps the word embargo is strong but it took me almost six months to find a shell for my multi-cart .
  16. Wait a minute, there's a flappy bird for the Atari? I need this on a cart. Yes, I'm a little damaged that way. I have it on the Vectrex and SNES after all.
  17. I do think the embargo against mulit-cart makers is silly as well. Who does it hurt, not the multi-cart maker. They'll sell anyway. Instead it hurts the end user like myself who now has to hunt down a shell. I kept looking for multi-carts and couldn't figure out why no one had shells. I had no idea it was an embargo against all of them. I even looked for a SK multi-cart but they aren't made anymore as far as I've found. It also hurts Vectrex collectors because instead of CIB now they shell-less carts since end users are forced to scavenge shells. Like the OP said, shells are hard for people to find. I'd suggest selling the mold to someone who is willing to keep an active website and deal with programmers and end users alike.
  18. I think it is. The OP started it with people PMing him with orders to see if he could get it started. I do realize I'm too sensitive sometimes about these things. I spend too much time worrying on other peoples problems and not enough on my own. No offense meant to anyone and I hope this succeeds in some form or another even if I'm not in a position to participate. I keep trying to think of solutions to make the shells and pcbs more universal but that doesn't seem to be practical. I've seen Coleco shells used in a Vectrex but they had to be cut so you can't make combo units. The PCBs won't work as Atari or Vectrex, so that doesn't wash. My concern is rather or not the Vectrex community has enough life left in it. We can't even get overlay's produced.
  19. The only thing I would ask of Sean is to not give his email address in someone elses marketplace thread. Maybe I'm just too sensitive though. I'll defer to the wisdom of the Atari Elders.
  20. 3and 2 are very different. Which do you have?
  21. I have a thought about colors, solid not translucent colors. Is there enough benefit to molding them in color to offset costs? I ask because in the SNES and nes world its common for repro makers to paint or dip carts. Their results are excellent.
  22. I have a shell from this buy and your cart fit in without me having to file anything. It's a tight fit, but it fit. I don't add games often but I do see how that could be tedious.
  23. The problem with telling someone their game is crap is discerning what is poor quality from what is good quality but not enjoyable and then determining if others will enjoy it. I usually only give constructive advice such as if I think a feature would be nice or if something in the game makes it too difficult / easy.
  24. I don't think SD cards will work since they changed the way the machine reads them.
