  1. That sounds interesting, I’ll try it! I thought maybe I would just copy from Gotek on B to floppy on A but then discovered some game disk images are encrypted or something where they show zero contents but they boot from A and run.
  2. Yeah I have an SF314 connected and I put A power switch on the back of the Gotek enclosure. But I can also push in the rotary controller to "eject" a disk image and boot from the HD. I mainly just wanted to be able to have the SF314 connected to the chain as drive B. Maybe I will find a broken SF314 for parts some day.
  3. Ah, probly not worth mucking with the SF314. Do some ST games and software require booting from drive A? I suppose I will juts disconnect the SF314 when using the Gotek. Maybe it is polssible to make and in/out connector and plug the SF314 into the OUT din of that?
  4. Ooops. Sorry. This is a 520 STm so no internal drive. The gotek is set to drive 0 and when I plug into the back of the ST it works as drive A and auto boots disk images with a org in the Auto directory. The problem is when I plug the SF314 in, it is now drive A and the Gotek plugged into the OUT jack of the SF314 makes it become drive B. I meant to ask if there’s a way to make the SF314 drive 1 (not 0) so it will become the B drive and the Gotek can be the A drive.
  5. Hey All, I have a Gotek drive with a single cable that plugs into the ST and its working find but I also have an SF314 and if I chain the Gotek off it it will be Drive B and I think most game disk images want to be on drive 0 correct? and any disk images with an Auto folder won't boot on power up. Is there a way to assign the SF314 as Drive 0 ? Or a way to make a connector so I can plug the SF314 into the Gotek instead?
  6. No he kept it. I had bought a new cable for it it’s still new in box if anyone wants it. when he tried to charge me $45 more or whatever it was plus shipping for the “repair” work and void my warranty I said forget it so he kept it. At that point I’d be in $20 something to ship + the $40 fee for the customs fiasco + another $45 for the “repair” plus and other $20 to ship it back. Not worth it. I just got a Gotek. Waiting for a cable then I’m going to try that out. Not sure if it must be on drive 0 or not to run disk game disk images but I plan to chain it to an SF314.
  7. Thanks yeah it’s not the HD image size. The drive is partitioned into separate 512 size drives. Thats just the SD card size. Reading the links and it’s not looking too promising. Might have to seek out an mfm emulator. I guess the first boards is not you standard scsi interface…
  8. Hi All, I've got a working SH204 but the MFM drive is on its last leg. I have to spin the stepper motor by hand to kick start the drive on power up to get it to work. So, I've got a spare BlueSCSI for desktop in my parts bin that will plug right into the ACSI to SCSI interface board in the SH204. My problem is I only have experience setting up BlueSCSI on 68K macs. On the ST side I do have a working external UltraSatan with a Disk image all setup and working that is using the PP drivers. My question is how do I configure the BlueSCSI disk image? I tried taking the US image file and renaming it HD00-2GB.img but that does not appear to be working. The activity lights blink when I power up the bluescsi by itself but I get no logging or anything. I also do not have any entries into my bluescsi.ini because I don't know what is needed there, if anything. When I power up the SH204 there's no activity on the BlueSCSI either. Anyone have any knowledge in these areas that could help me? Thanks, -Tavis
  9. Ah, I doubt it its my old server I used since back in the late 90's to host my website. Its through Netfirms hosting provider. I have an NTSF server running locally though that is working from the Fujinet config page. I also have an local Apache server that I can get to on the same machine at http://localhost but for some reason no other machines (including the same one the server is running on) on my same local IP can reach it at 127.0.0.1. The ONLY way I can reach the server is through http://localhost and that must be on the host machine. I am using MAMP pro on a MacBook Pro... So since I can't reach the local server is why I went to my public Netfirms server in the first place.

  12. Ok I’ll capture the debug output today and post it. Were you able to NCD to those directories and get a directory listing?
  13. Now I am having trouble with NCD i changed my directory to uppercase: http://www.sideburn.com/FUJINET/ I can NCD to ftp://ftp.pigwa.net/ and then for an A (disk directory) on N: and get a listing. but then if I NCD and hit return to clear then NCD back in and enter http://www.sideburn.com/FUJINET/ I get an error 146 if I clear again and NCD to http://fujinet-testing.irata.online/ I get an error 144 on a directory listing. does it not work with http? Is a listing of error codes online somewhere for n: device? Haven’t had luck finding but I do have DOS error codes. I was also getting 208 errors even trying to get to ftp.pigwa.net and had to reboot to fix. Not sure how to consistently reproduce that yet though.
  14. Guess I can just resave it. 🤦‍♂️
  15. Yeah I was aware of the enter command and saw your EF video that covered text translation. Was just wondering if there were also tools to convert text to a BAS formatted file.
  16. If you want your server to launch and run in the background on login, make a .plist file in ~/library/LaunchAgents edit: oops I see this has already been mentioned…
  17. Ahh ok I will give it another try. Thanks! Is there a way to easily convert a text BASIC listing into a tokenized BASIC formatted file ?
  18. Hey all, I have been testing out the Fujinet N: device feature by following Thomas Cherryhomes' video here: But so far I haven't had much luck yet getting my own server to work. First I verified it is working by doing a LOAD "N:HTTP://FUJINET-TESTING.IRATA.ONLINE/BLACKJACK.BAS" and that works fine. But when I do a LOAD "N:HTTP://SIDEBURN.COM/FUJINET/BLACKJACK.BAS" or a LOAD "N:HTTP://www.SIDEBURN.COM/FUJINET/BLACKJACK.BAS" it failed with an ERROR 21 I have a directory on my server here with some files in it: http://www.sideburn.com/fujinet/ Any idea what I don't have correct here?
  19. yeah if i leave it on and make drive 1 empty on the SDrive Max then its fine.
  20. * and sorry for posting off topic in here. I literally just now noticed this thread was specific to the Network Adapter after watching tschak909’d YouTube about it. I saw Fujinet and SIO and thought I was good 😆 🤦‍♂️ FujinetN00b
  21. Ahhhh I see now. Ok. Yeah. Mines on a Mac. With a launch deamon that runs it in the background on login. Pretty sweet I didn’t follow how the permissions were being set. Thought it was done through the server itself or something
  22. Ahh, so on my local tnfs server there’s a way I can set certain files to always be read only regardless of the setting on the console ?
  23. Yeah I typed to soon I went back and read the first post and also it says to keep it read only on the server. But that raises another question I have regarding remote files. Is it possible to write to them? Seems like that would open up the opportunity for people to accidentally corrupt other peoples files on their servers...
