If you go to ballyalley.com you can find the older versions program lists. The new one (the only one currently be produced and in stock, has the latest 2 games, War and Crazy Climber done by Riff-Raff games. No other multicart has these games. There are also some new utilities for extended ram units. I sell refurbished Baslly /Astrocade units starting @ $150.00 USD plus S&H.

[Bally Astrocade problems]

If you know anyone that has a working unit, there are some things you can do easily to check to see what may not be wrong. You can swap out the prwer supply, the RF cable, the modulator ( tse rectangular metal box that has the rf cord attached to it), the t 40 pin custom chips. swap the out one at a time, putting yopur into the good unit. If the unit works after replaceing all of these components, and you switch is good. everything else in the unit acn be repaced by parts that are still pretty redilly available.

there are 30 chips in the unit. Beleive it or not, the custom data chip is more robust than most people think. What color is the label on the bottom? only the earliest of Ballys had the custom data chip problem.

I have found that when I repair the Astrocades, one of the problems that happens during shipping is that the 3 custom chips may work themselves loose. Reseating them may fix the problem of one that is working before shipping and gets there dead. Remember that the post office, UPS and theres have Magilla the Gorilla handling them. If it says fragile, they see how far they can throw it before the box breaks. There are several parts that frequently go bad.The voltyage regulators are sometimes to blame as is some of those 35 year old capacitors. Once in a while it is the custom chips, but not as often as everyone makes out. Various thins can be wrong so I go through a set procedure to find the problem (most times). Some parts are simply not being made anymore.
