3E games require the 3E3F512K startup. I forget the exact name but look in your startup directory for something close to that and replace 78BIOS.
Try 78QUICK to bypass your BIOS perhaps?
Make sure you have HSC.ROM in your startup directory.
Not sure on the others. Don't have a menu file on the computer I'm using right now to check that everything is using the correct banking. I'd try replacing the 78BIOS and HSC startups with 78QUICK and HSCQUICK.

I'm no expert on what will and won't run on PAL 7800's, but it would be helpful if you posted the MENU.TXT entries for the games that don't run. It could be a case of incorrect banking or startup files.
Or if you are actually getting an error message, list the full message.
Chad
If only a few games don't work, it's very unlikely it is your CC2. It could an improperly formatting MMC, bad ROMs, incorrect MENU.CC2 file, etc.
You should email me at support at schells dot com and I can help you work through this.
Chad
What type of fatal error? There's usually more info on the top of the screen.
But my guess is that your F8.BNK file is corrupt. Rename your BANKING directory to BANKBAD, and then copy the BANKING directory from the zip file to the MMC again.
If you're using Windows be sure to right click on the MMC drive in My Computer and select "Eject" before you remove the MMC from the computer. This will flush the write cache and cleanly dismount the MMC.

I can get to it from a few computers no problem. The pages are very simple hand coded html. I can't imagine any browser having a problem with a simple link.
Here's the address:

Thanks for the quick response.
I thought it was the Atmel part, except that I thought it was rated at 75MHz so it threw me off. I was hoping you had found a nice QFP equivalent.
You make the BGA work sound rather simple. Have these parts you've done this way stood up to much use? No problems with longevity?
Chad
Sounds like a cool little part. What package does it come in?
I know you said you can hand solder BGAs, but unless you can tell me a clever trick for the dexterity challenged it's well beyond my abiliites.
Actually I'm just curious in general what you are doing to lay down BGAs by hand.
Chad
I didn't even know such things existed. A quick jump to the sandisk website says that their RS-MMCs come with an adapter to make them fit in standard MMC slots.
They claim with the adapter that it will work in older MMC products.
Of course since I didn't know they existed you can probably guess that I have no first hand knowledge of whether or not they work. Pretty cool if they do though, because that means a new easy supply of MMCs.
Chad
I think it's called the menu convertor. The generator is the one that scans a ROM directory and renames the ROMs while generating a menu.cc2 and menu.txt.
Chad
Yes there was. If you go to http://www.schells.com/cc2utils/cc2files.shtml and download the SC startup file and ROM and it will probably fix your problem.
I thought I had grabbed all the latest updates to put on the CD. Clearly I was wrong.
Sorry,
Chad
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to drop a quick note letting people know that Cuttle Cart 2's are now in stock and ready to ship. I've opened up general orders.
http://www.schells.com/cc2.shtml
All but the international preorders have shipped. (Well, a few late orders whose payment is still in the mail). International shipments will go out on Saturday. (Post office closes too soon for me to ship on weekdays.) Others will go out when payment arrives and clears.
Enjoy,
Chad
There are several bad dumps around, and they've been around and complained about at least by me since the days of the original Cuttle Cart.
Both Cuttle Carts have means of selecting the starting bank to deal with these situations.
I believe Berzerk VE and the Garfield proto also have these problems. I forget the rest.
Chad
No CC2s from the second run have shipped. They are currently at the solder assembly shop.
I will update the website to say shipping once they start shipping, and those of you should get a shipping notice from either myself or Fedex.
Chad
Only way to be sure it's really working is to have the MMC. I do test every CC2 for complete functionality before I ship it, but the nature of electronics is that if they are going to fail they typically fail in the first 90 days, or a long time after that. However, determining whether or not it is going to fail requires that it actually get some use during those first 90 days.

Definitely sounds like the chip is not making good contact with the socket. If all the pins look to be in the socket holes ok, you have to slowly press pretty hard.
If that doesn't work, I guess pull it and look for any bent pins. Straighten them and try again.
The socket is REALLY tight. Sadly it's the only one I could find that was short enough to fit in the case with a chip installed. (Ultra low profile.)
