  1. Well, I don't know anything about discrediting the guy, I had no part in that.
  2. Lol, I bet your the type who trolls those blogs.
  3. But if and when the product is ready, It would be nice if those who expressed interest early on got first dibs. Why is that so unreasonable? These things are usually made in limited quantities and hard to get when your late to the party. Not trying to knock GroovyBee, just hoping he will consider the idea.
  4. But it would great if he did backtrack on this thread and at least drop a PM to those who want one, asking if they are still interested. I think the people who posted on here should get first dibs in order of first to last. But that's just my opinion.
  5. One of my Best Electronics refurbished 5200 controllers has been recently acting up do to bad wiring. For example, If I play Galaxian and move the cable a certain way... the ship will move all the way to the right and get stuck there. Then when I move the cable back to the way it was, the game functions normal again. It's definitely not the port so I guess there's a problem with one of the pot traces. These rebuilt controllers would be perfect if Best also manufactured new harnesses instead of using the NOS ones.
  6. Yeah, This is pretty cool. Can all you talented programmers make some 7800 games with this please and thank you?
  7. Call it, "Donkey Kong TA" (True Arcade) Put me down for one if you decide to make a few.
  8. Probably around Christmas 2017.
  9. Wow! What a clever and festive game.
  10. I personally don't care if any future homebrews get made for the XM. I want it because it's a project, labor of love, and add on that is finally being made... based on a device that was originally supposed to be produced in the 80's. For me, I want it more for the limited collectors item status that it will have. A 7800 keyboard would be icing on the cake.
  11. LOL... The very first day I was a member on here, I was attacked by a troll because my screen name is 7800 and my avatar is of a 2600 game. BBWWAAAAHHHH!! ha ha. Plus my first post was in a 5200 complaint thread, so... I guess it's to be expected. But anyway... I'm glad to see new threads on this topic pop up. I am also out of the loop and thought the XM was pretty close to being released. Last time I spoke to Curt, I was left with the impression that some more testing needed to be done and the first batch of pre-orders were going out to who kickstarted the project... then they would go up for sale after that. But this was back in July so... I don't know what happened. Honestly, I'm just losing interest in this altogether. My 7800 isn't even hooked up anymore... I keep myself busy with Everdrive for PCE, Mega Drive, and Famicom lately. Also waiting for my copy of Donkey Kong XM which was paid for months ago... not that I'm complaining though. I'm not really worried about the XM... I'm sure many fans including myself have already spoken to Curt, if not just to remind him that we still want one and not to forget us. ... The way I see it. I'll get one, when I get one... if it takes another year then so be it. In the end, we will all have one if we want one.
  12. It's not for sale. Even though Sinistar for 5200 doesn't meet my approval, It still makes a great collectible.
  13. Funny you should say that, because I bought Sinistar off of ebay FROM atariage... and I'm pretty sure it wasn't described as being an unfinished prototype. If it was, I probably would have thought twice before buying it. Not saying they were being sneaky but... whatever. I bought Tempest because they emphasized until they were blue in the face that it was a completed game from an unfinished prototype. I assumed Sinistar was a similar situation... I blame myself for not researching it before I bought it.
  14. Hey guys, I Just bought a PCE Core Grafx II from Japan and I live in the USA ... The seller is telling me that I will need to use a voltage converter??? Is this true? Because I also have a Japanese Famicom and Mega Drive that plug right into the wall and work fine. EDIT: Ok... So I just learned that Japanese houshold voltage is 100V. US houshold is 120 give or take so I checked my Famicom brick to see what the output was. Around 14V... I'd say that's about double what the system requires so, I think I will invest in a few step down converters. I wouldn't want to burn up the original bricks. http://www.voltageconverters.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=VC100J
  15. Nice... So using one SD card for multiple Everdrive carts wont be an issue... You can't beat that.
  16. That's great news, one less thing to worry about. I'm still waiting for both Everdrives, they shipped about 10 days ago and are now in NY customs. I was wondering. I have a 16gb SD card and was thinking about putting the Mega Drive roms AND NES roms onto it. You think I could use 1 card for both Everdrives?
  17. Cool, this is good to know. Thanks.
  18. Yeah, I hope so. I'm assuming the .MD is (Megadrive). Each file icon is a Megadrive cartridge... So, I guess we'll see once I get the Everdrive MD and load 'em up. Not sure if this matters but I will be using the Everdrive MD on an actual Megadrive system.
  19. ok... So I discovered that I can download torrent files and from there open them up, organize them, etc. The funny thing is, I know I will never even scratch the surface of these extensive rom files, but it's amazing knowing that one little SD card is capable of holding all these games. I opened up the Genesis/Megadrive roms and they are all .MD files. From what I am hearing, the files need to be .BIN files for the Everdrive to read them. Is there a way I can change multiple file names at once without having to change them one by one? I can use either a mac or PC.
  20. Wow, somebody really sniped that auction. $52.00 to $113.00 in the last second.
  21. I just ordered an Everdrive MD and a Famicom version from Retrogate. I sure hope I don't have any problems playing roms with these carts. I don't have the brainpower or patients to get the recommended GoodGen roms for the MD. All I want to do is download a few dozen of my favorites and store them on each cart... and play them. Anybody know off hand what kind of files names the roms need to be for both systems? ... file names that will work.
  22. Oh ok... I thought I might have been doing it, when I didn't have to. It's refreshing to learn that I haven't been doing it incorrectly, but disappointing that it is the only way. If it doesn't damage the system in the long run I'm happy. I wonder if it were possible to install a momentary switch to the power circuit that when pressed once, would reset the system.
  23. On the SD cart, is there a way to return to the roms screen without having to turn the system off then on again?
  24. Wow... I would love to be the owner of that.
