I have a CIB (At least to my knowledge.) original Magnavox Odyssey. It the the first model from 1972. I am also including the CIB light gun. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.

You should get the 2 port. Not only because of the switch box, but even if you did get the 4 port you would never get 4 working controllers.

No. You fly up and steer the shuttle side to side, you can also speed up or slow down. Like River Raid in space I guess.

I'm new to the "Homebrew committee" (I didn't even know what a homebrew was until I discovered this site.) so please excuse my lack of knowledge. Anyways, I've thought long and hard about what happened to the survivors of Atlantis. After they flew out of the exploding Cosmic Ark, I assumed they were hit by a meteor and killed. But what if they weren't? The game would be about the shuttle flying through meteors and other debree. It would play like a moving Space Invaders, except the projectiles would come at random and you would fly through space instead of only moving left to right on the ground. Does this sound like a good concept? Or should I work on a new one? No info on programming is necessary. In fact, I'm reading a book on how to program for the VCS as I type this.

Was the first VCS you got used? If not, were you able to exchange it for a working one?

I don't believe there are any 7-11s in the Northern Minnesota area. But I remember there being a Virtua Fighter in a 7-11 in Iowa.

No love for Basic Math, eh? I really like the Driving Controller, I wish more games used it. It's what makes Indy 500 so unique. As far as 2 player games go, Air Sea Battle is the way to go. It's one of my favorite 2600 games.

The original Gameboy's color scheme is disgusting. That mix of gray, black, red, and green just wasn't for me.

For lack of anywhere better to put this, I put this topic in the "Show Us Your Collection!" category. I got this Centipede toy in a lot of VCS games. Anyone have any information on him, or how much he's worth? (Not that I have any intentions on selling him.)
