My TV has no vents on the bottom. Is it still ok to use?

I have a 1983 TV hooked up on the carpet in my bedroom. The Atari 2600 is on top, the NES is on the floor. Is it safe to play games like this? Will the static from the carpet destroy my TV or something?

Sorry. In another forum (I don't remember which one.), I said AtariAge's community was more mature than NintendoAge's. After reading this forum, that might not be true.

I picked up a few games last night at Koolectibles in Hibbing. Kind of a dump in there, but they had some cool stuff. I got Journey Escape, Space Attack, and some Realsports games for the 2600. I also got a switch box for the NES, and some games. Like Pro Wrestling, which turned out to be Track & Field in a Pro Wrestling case. $10. But I got $15 back because I sold some stuff.

2600, NES, Genesis... Phew... Genesis takes it for being the coolest looking console of all time.

Why would Magnavox give the option of using batteries when you could just use an AC adapter?

I too have never broken a CX40, though I have ripped the rubber off the stick a few times. Best option, like Hatta said, is too build your own joysticks.

I might just buy this Color TV Scoreboard. Could rob a liquor store with that gun.
