  1. Elastic bands are you best friends with controller wires.
  2. A few years ago when retro gamer relaunched or when it was pulled and picked up by a differernt publisher, the writers would do a segment each month on a specific retro console and i remember seeing that they had covered the atari jaguar. Does anyone happen to have the edition of the magazine? and can they scan the articles and artwork that they used for it. It would be interesting to see their opinion on the console and see if they cover any games or any history surrounding the consoles launch in britian, but what it will most likely say is the same old tosh that all the other magazines say when talking about the console. Any scans much apreciated
  3. This seems like a great idea, but sometimes with these ideas i end up kicking myself due to not thinking about it myself. Very interesting project and i'm surprised noone else has thought about doing this yet!
  4. Played beef drop for the first time at Jagfest X and loved it! I'll definatly pick up a copy soon, but i have to sort out a working 7800 and finance the new expansion module first! The 7800 deserves far more homebrew games than the 2600, it needs to share some of the limelight from time to time, with all the homebrew that the 2600 gets here on atariage but i guess thats just down to a larger fanbase at the end of the day...
  5. Ok so after opening up my lynx I tonight to replace the DC connector, 2 of the prongs have broken off the board and now I need to find a replacement connector. Any idea where I could get one from in Europe/UK? I've tried Maplin and searched google for a 3.5mm DC jack to no avail. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
  6. can you not convert the file to a PDF or convert it to a lower res in photoshop? Send it my way if havent and i can resize it for you.
  7. I've counted over the image a few times now and there seems to be 11 there *edit* Ah stupid me, soundtrack snuck in there.

  9. Just got back myself, great weekend! Lots of gaming, bomberman, food and meeting old friends. I'll put up a vid on YT soon.
  10. I think i'll vouch for everyone in saying i'm incredibly excited for this weekend. Bring on the gaming!
  11. I have 10 copies available with a Limited Edition Jagfest X cart which will all be numbered and available on a first come first served basis for a super cheap £20 each! We will now also be hosting the Atari Age high score club at the event with Breakout 2000 and a very special prize up for grabs! I have also sold a couple more tickets today so will putting them in the post ASAP and looking forward to seeing everyone there, its gonna be a great show!!! Cooool! Shame nick and I wont get there till the evening. I thought there was word on a jagfest t-shirt? or am i getting that offer confused with a previous (or made up) year?
  12. Ok mate, no problem its an event that needs more press if you ask me! Ok i'll bring my own, but the only problem is mine is a HDTV, i could bring an old CRT TV but its very small so i doubt virtua cop would look any good on it! I'm also going to try and bring my Japanese 360 with a couple of arcade sticks for some SF4 action or some of my obscure japanese Shmups.
  13. Thanks mate, really apreciate all the work you've put into it even if people are flaming you on here. Just a quick note, i've just tested my newly owned saturn multi-tap and its working fine, so far i have 6 saturn pads so i'll probably only need 1 or two more. I've also tried out street racer 6 player and this plays pretty smoothly aswell, so i'll bring that long to play. One question though whats happening with TVs? Are we bringing our own or are you renting any for the weekend? I can in theory bring mine but its brand new and i would have to make sure its looked after well..
  14. I could take some video of the weekend, although i think they'll be other people around with cameras.
  15. I've not really been keeping up with the topic, but just by skimming through the posts it sounds a shame if the event doesnt have the desired turn out and although it would be dissapointing if it was canceled, i guess theres nothing that can be done about it (unless someone wants to hold it at their house for a weekend!). Anyway with all the worries people have had i created a quick plug for the event on youtube, and although i dont have thousands of subscribers theres a few hardcore bloggers that may attend the event http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W6wBAb6fFA Oh and table-wise would it be possible to have 2? I'm going to try and bring my saturn with ~7 pads for a bomberman game, so i'm going to bring my own TV for that, and for my jag i have another CRT tele i could bring along, abeit if i can fit them in harlow's car.
  16. ok will do, hi how are ya? I see your getting rid of your atari collection, how come?

  17. Damn thats a real shame, Jagfest won't be the same without you I'll be there in spirit! Shame as it would have been my last one too! Guess thatll be last years now!! Ahh, thats a real shame Gaz, I hope your friends wedding goes well and hopefully you can attend in the new future.
  18. Wow this looks amazing, i take it, its using the pockey chip for sound aswell?
  19. So this probably crops up every now and then, only i have a jr that i would like modded with some sort of av (scart/composite) would this be possible? Also its a PAL console, and im going to take the lazy route by asking if anyone has the technical expertise to create the components for the mod. Cheers, Thund.
  20. I use bog standard super glue, and to avoid sticking my fingers to the cart i use an old pen knife or flat knife to iron out and air bubbles
  21. Gunna go on a bit of a scrounge here and see if anyone has a spare PAL Circus Atari? I have 3 sets of paddle controllers ive picked up lately and have no idea if any of them work. I'm willing to paypal the money for postage if anyone is interested in sending one my way. ..or i have a line green GBC thats missing the battery cover and the screen is a little faded. Apart from that it works fine. Let me know what best if anyone does decide. Cheers, thund3r.
  22. How much are these beasts now a days? They felt 100x better than the standard controllers, and it generally meant i could play Jag for longer due to my left thumb not cramping up from a crappy dpad.
  23. Holy crap! Some nice jag releases lately, all these releases have amazing production quality!
  24. Hey mate, i subbed to you on Youtube, all the best.

    James.
