I thought about adding it to the Definitive Guide to Vectrex Collecting but it raises a lot of ethical issuses.

Your Opinions wanted/Anniversary Covers/35th for these consoles
50TBRD replied to oldjd's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I'd love to see one for the Vectrex. -
I think its actually Abyss from Vecmania rather than Chris Tumber's Tsunami.
-
Looks great. Glad to see Madtronix with a new game from a different developer.
-
I bought a 6 digit nixie clock not too long ago. I was really enamored with them. I also bought one of the Pac-man LED clocks and still want a VDF clock.
-
A Vectrex Spell and Speak would be interesting especially coupled with the VecKey Keyboard adapter.
-
The clear case needs fancy LEDs on the board.

Frederico posted on FB. The first 20 copies were made and ready to send (as of July 8th). He hopes to ship the remaining copies within the next several months. All 100 copies have been spoken for including the 10 Green LE copies. Here is the pre-order list which hasn't been updated. http://gamescollection.forumcommunity.net/?t=58332833

I use a modified paddle controller or modified steering wheel for Hyperchase and games like Parcel Panic. The fine movements are much better, especially near the center.
-
Neither have digital overlays as far as I know. You can purchase the Vectrexians overlay though.

There are plenty of copies of I,Cyborg in the wild. The problem is that so many people want thing NOW. They tend to turn up every month or two. As fmml said, there really aren't that many games which cannot be purchased in some form new or available for download. Solar Wars, Omega Chase Deluxe, I, Cyborg, War of the Worlds, Sector X, Sundance, Warrior, Irrelevant, Obsolete, Eineiing, Cube Quest, and Pitcher's Duel are the only ones I think that are neither available for sale or download. Almost all have plans for re-release, future download or be available on Multicart.

Original Vectrex controller will have to cone from ebay. Not too many people part with Vectrex stuff through forums. Its best to get a VecAdapt and use any Genesis controller you want, especially since they're cheap. Just search for VecAdapt.

Thank you. Its been something that I've been working on for about 2 years and started with an article specifically about the rarest homebrew games. I've spoken directly with most of the developers and a lot of top collectors. I know that these things are quite an undertaking, and the Vectrex is probably the most diminutive of your projects but will there be an update in the future?

Gave a few of your Ebooks a quick look and am very impressed. I'm very interested to see what you do for the Vectrex as its very difficult with all the homebrew releases. It would be pretty impossible without pictures and information from my website http://tbone1892001.wix.com/vectrex-guide. Even still, I haven't be able to get pictures for every release such as War of the Robots Omega and its been such an undertaking that I haven't gotten to screenshots either. I'm just now getting to adding individual pictures of manuals, carts and boxes and I still need to update the website to include Vectrexagon.

I was able to acquire a complete in box 3D Imager.
-
What might be an interesting idea is a 3D printed top half which bolts to a pre-existing controller's bottom part.

Purchased Intelligent Qube for PS1. Great transaction and very quick shipping. A pleasure to deal with.

I'm about 85 percent finished with one one of the Rev 1 kits. A few holes in the enclosure (for the Autofire switches), solder buttons 1-4 and the 9-pin cable and I'm done with fabrication. Then it will be testing and making a sticker for the facia. It's been pretty straight forward. Probably not an endevour for a novice with electronics but maybe with a video tutorial they could accomplish it. Concidering how few analog options other than the original controller there are, it's great to have something that can be customized to the players liking. I just wish someone had a 3D printed case to offer another option for finishing.

I believe War of the Worlds is still available from Good Deal Games new.

By request... 5200, 2600, & Vectrex

If the VecMulti doesn't work, then try the Mateos Vectrex Burner/Dumper (MVBD). It's also programmable though not SD or menu-driven. -

It's still in Beta Testing and programming but expected for release this year.

With all the homebrew games that have and are coming out, a Vectrex is a necessity especially with games like Deathchase, Smatrazone, Vector Patrol.....
