  1. No BIN available. As I recall, the original programmer was asked to finish the game in the early 2000s so it would be playable. Somewhere between the programmer and CGE Services did not want to be available. Talking with Sean, there were quite a lot of them made, as many as 250 copies which took a long time to sell. Chris Romero bought some new copies from Sean for 40 or 50 bucks last year and pasted the savings on to people who were unable to attend.
  2. Dislikf is a strong word. I was told that my mom liked to Galaxian when she was pregnant with me.
  3. A name is only worth so much but it's the SEO/ position in search results that garner a premium (currently 6th on first page of yahoo). How much those two factors are worth is obviously up for debate.
  4. It's an additional speech/sound device which plugs into the second player port. Currently, Madtronix offers the VecVoxX which has a built-in speaker and AtariAge Store offers the AtariVox which supports VecVox as well as VecVoice (an alternative method/device). I've thought that it might be interesting to use the VecVox as a method of providing rumble support for older games using something similar to the Cyclone VX adapter. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cyclone-VX-Playstation-Joystick-Gamepad-Adapter-for-Amiga-Atari-PCB-DIY-/111262780988
  5. There is quite a lot of Vectrex development. http://vectrex.wikia.com/wiki/2015 Last year there was as well. http://vectrex.wikia.com/wiki/2014 In addition, Binary Star is about to release NOX/Deathchase, and possibly Frogs N Flies/Vector Pong/Connect 4, Vectrexagon is being discussed for physical release, Tutstronix is close to releasing Vector Patrol, Fury states a 10/30/15 release for Hellhole, Luchs Soft has announced his next game will be Flak, Packrat says they will carry HEX, Verzerk, and rerelease VeCaves plus Chris Tumber is working on several intriguing games.
  6. Perhaps the games themselves since there was only 5 games but the cards were extremely difficult to complete back when they were released and impossible to complete now.

    50TBRD's wanted list

Since so many people are now saying that they are receiving their copy of Warrior, I thought that I'd add it to my wanted list finally.
  8. NELS is still available. There's Ausweichmanover for JagCD. Apperrel, score pad card, as well as posters, magnets and stickers for Obsolet(Discontinued).
  9. The Light Pen was made to be an educational tool. As yet, Mail Plane is the only true game. While MP teaches geography, Melody Master teaches music, and Art Master and Animaction are application for illustration. Its a very effective device but whether or not it's enjoyable is debatable. It's necessary if you intend to use the 3 releases and prototype Mail Plane.
  10. CollectorVision has decided to focus on Super Nintendo as its new endeavor which coincides perfectly with Sasha self-publishing his games. I don't believe George can get them from Sean anymore. People receiving Warriors currently are stating that the PCBs come in raw molded shells or a 3D printed type. They have a few rough edges and pieces have been falling off.
  11. Original games are relatively easy to collect complete. Polar Rescue, Pole Position, the 3D games and the Light Pen games will be the ones which will give you the most trouble especially if you're picky about condition. It's not a cheap system to collect for though even more so when you get into the discontinued or limited edition homebrew titles (which are numerous). Fortunately, quite a bit of the homebrew games have both unlimited versions and are available for download. EBay is the easiest route but there are games available on Craigslist, gamegavel, and online stores as well as For Sale boards.
  12. Unfortunately, Collectorvision is no longer getting into Vectrex games, so it would be very difficult to find someone who wanted a significant number of carts. George Pelonis has had to find an alternate method of housing his PCBs for Warrior and future games. I still think that doing a translucent run would be your best bet of getting a new mold made.
  13. Don't be so sure about never having another boxed Polar Rescue. I think having a faithful Repro box is not out of the realm of possibility.
  14. Jason, should 3D Sector X not work with your Imager, I will purchase it from you. George has always been extremely helpful and responsive, even with all the annoying question that I've had for the Definitive Guide to Vectrex Collecting.
  15. Got my Atari Age Store AtariVox a couple of days ago. Just a comparison picture between the AA version and the one sold by Golden Ax a couple of years ago. The new manuals and labels are fantastic. Its a very nice package. BTW, some people recommend having two AtariVoxes for the Vectrex so you don't have to keep opening the case to change between VecVox and VecVoice.
  16. I found the exact part that George uses for his joystick mechanism but they do not come with potentiometers and I haven't tried to figure anything out yet. Incidentally, the joysticks for the Equinox and Yeti are the same.
  17. Most games do not have their own page and are not available for download. Some like VecVox X-Mas and Pythagorean Theorem are no longer available from their developer even for download. NOX and Deathchase will be available from http://www.binarystarsoftware.com/. Spike's Circus is available from http://www.madtronix.com/en/order.htmlor http://www.vectrexworld.com/#!blog-new/c1ub1. Space Frenzy, Verzerk (custom cart) and YASI are available from http://www.packratvg.com/vechbrews.html. Color Clash, Debris Revisited, Shifted, V:Hockey and Vectoblox are all available from http://www.revival-studios.com/vectrex.php. Brecher will be available from http://www.luchs-soft.de/releases.htmlas well as VecFahren only through email. BETH is available only for download from http://pelikonepeijoonit.net/files/vec/coders.html.
  18. I believe this is up-to-date and complete including Brecher which is scheduled for release in December and NOX/Deathchase which is scheduled to be released September. VecVox Brecher [2015] Color Clash Debris Revisited Shifted Spike's Circus VecFahren Vectoblox V:Hockey VecVox X-Mas VecVoice B.E.T.H. (Boulder Escape Terror Hazard) Deathchase [2015] NOX [2015] Pythagorean Theorem Space Frenzy Verzerk Y.A.S.I. (Yet Another Space Invaders)
  19. The list of games supported for the Vectrex needs an update as well but I'd even have to check all the titles.

    50TBRD's wanted list

I was able to acquire a copy of City Bomber LE (actually #1/50) some time ago but still looking for the others. Got monies ready. I also have a friend that is looking for 3D Lord of the Robots if you're willing to part with that as well.
  21. In the original boxes. I have made my own paper sleeve to replace badly damaged or missing sleeves. A collection of orphan overlays could be stored inside one of the clear plastic box protectors or I've also used the clear plastic bags which are designed to hold comic books including using the backer board to maintain rigidity. http://www.retroprotection.com/category.sc;jsessionid=7ED5C007CDBDCDE60DDA8D9AB80E84A4.m1plqscsfapp03?categoryId=71
  22. Unfortunately, that adapter won't work as is for the Vectrex. However, if you drill out the holes in the metal shrouding, it should reveal a plastic housing and bare wires. You can then use heat shrink tubing and a make an inexpensive extension that should work. Here is a bulk auction for those same adapters. I believe that both Dan Siewers and John Madtronix used this method for plugs for their Vectrex peripherals. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-PCS-9-Pin-RS232-DB9-Male-to-Female-Serial-Cable-Gender-Changer-Coupler-Adapter-/141637096374?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20fa3a93b6
  23. You're very lucky. A lot of people were disappointed they did not get the USB version.
