  1. Nice. Very excited. One of the games I'm most anticipating. I like the laser.
  2. I'd like to see that too. I had John build me some dedicated carts for some of my favorite games only offered as roms.
  3. They go for about 30-40 each. I've seen Pole Position sell anywhere from 100-200. However bundles tend to go for less as a lot. I'd agree with AAirhart, worth between 350-450. Unless they're in exceptional condition (no tears, stickers, and still glossy and crisp), I wouldn't pay anything over 250 or 300. They're all on ebay all day long for anything more. One way to tell how much something actually goes for is to refine your ebay search and use "Completed Auction" as your criteria.
  4. Kristof Tuts not only makes homebrew games that offer original type screen printed overlays but his game Vector Pilot is considered one of the best homebrew games for the Vectrex. Fury Unlimited has produced many games in the past but only offers War of the Worlds currently. Good Deal Games currently sells a number of older homebrew games some of which are made by Revival Studios. Also, Madtronix offers a number of old and new homebrew games including the previously unreleased Light Pen game, Mail Plane and a reproduction of the 3D Imager. www.kristofsnewvectrexgames.comli.com/ http://www.furyunlimited.com/_sgg/m1_1.htm http://www.gooddealgames.com/inventory/Vectrex.html http://www.revival-studios.com/ http://www.madtronix.com/en/order.html I'd keep an eye on the following site which will be releasing games in the following year: http://www.packratvg.com/ http://www.binarystarsoftware.com/?page_id=2 http://www.luchs-soft.de/vor.html http://collectorvision.com/index.htm However, I'd recommend getting a programmable multi-cart because a number of the best homebrew games, and all the original games are available for download on the internet. http://www.vectrex.hackermesh.org/index.php/en/ There about a million threads already about the best homebrew games.
  5. I've been vocal about hoping for you to finish Vec Wars. I really think its great as is. Keep the multi-directional firing for the button mapping. I'd really like to play it with a dual stick controller when I get around to making one. Just needs some SFX and some cleaning up, that's all.
  6. I've been impressed with your execution so far, just waiting for more progress. Ha!
  7. Juan's multicart is drag and drop but there's no nice menu.
  8. He's on this site. Everytime I contact him he says he's out at the moment. I ask him to contact me when they're available but he never does then I hear someone say that they just picked one up.
  9. Chuck Van Pelt sells modified Genesis Controllers as well as PSX and SNES at Recycledgamer.com. Somebody really needs to make an adapter with multiple connectors so you can use any SNES, Genesis or PSX Controller, something I heard Madtronix was going to work on but he seems a little occupied at the moment. Its not difficult to modify your own Genesis controller, its just labor intensive and difficult to fit everything inside the casing. Making your own boards is the way to go but honestly, its almost as expensive and far easier to make your own arcade style joystick.
  10. I heard that George Pelonis had problem with bad Eproms so your PCB design has a lot of positive besides its ease of programming.
  11. http://www.onebuttongames.com/games/10/nano-ninja.html This website is dedicated to one button games. I thought this game was very interesting where the button did different things depending on the level. It throws a star, it makes you float, it holds you in place, makes you jump, etc. Space is the key was a little different too.
  12. There are so many versions for different systems that you could add a lot of different elements from them . I like this one, especially the multiplane animation to give it more depth. One thing I'd ask with your version is can you give a little more lead time between start and the first pipe?
  13. I think its interesting when 2 different people program different version of the same game. Like Hex and Vectrexagon.

  15. Similar to Star Trigon is Mr. Ninja for mobile. Homerun Derby.
  16. @Der Luchs, I see. I've seen Vipe Ut before. A "devolved" game modeled after the Vectrex. The box even had sticker residue and artificial wear. I'd like to see where Vecfahren 2000 goes. I saw a arcade game yesterday that actually reminds me of Brecher.
  17. That would be Spike. It had a purple overlay. There are more homebrew games than there were original games, in fact there are more homebrew games in development right now than there were original games. Gravitrex Plus, Thrust and Protector are considered to be some of the best homebrew games made for the system plus Birds of Prey off Vecmania is one of my personal favorites.
  18. My message hasn't gotten lost in the shuffle, has it?
  19. Looking for some of the last pieces for my Vectrex Collection. A mixture of modest and rare items. Willing to either purchase or trade. 3D Crazy Coaster City Bomber (Standard) Dark Tower Vectopia (numbered) Vectrom 16 in 1 (Intellivision cart shell) Star Sling LE Logo LE Warrior On the off chance....Solar Wars, Minestorm II, Vector 21: Fistful of Wildcards, and I,Cyborg X.
  20. An alternative to you personally making the overlays could be offering kits to make your own or at least including the overlay files with the game so people can make their own, that is unless you'd planned to make screen printed ones instead of the transparency film and laminating sheet method. With so few platformers for the Vectrex, I think it'd be nice to see STIP available to help fill that rank.
  21. @Pootle, we'd love to see more Vectrex stuff from you in the future. @Superogue, you too. I'd love to see STIP. And I think people would pay for the additional overlays. Why don't you ask Kristoff how many people buy all versions of his overlays rather than just one?
  22. I registered but I doubt you'll see much of me. There are a lot more active forums that cover the exact same things. Layout is similar to most other forums but I will say that your sub-forums or topics are a little overlapping. News and New Releases. GCE and Homebrew or Homebrew and anything retro because really anything new going on for a retro console is going to homebrew. There's Miscellaneous and General Board. And is Sony anything really considered retro gaming and not more like modern gaming? However, I agree with other posters in this thread. Does the world really need another Retro/gaming forum? There's Atari forums, Vectrex forums, classic gaming forums, Sony forums, Commodore 64 forums, Nintendo forums, Sega forums, etc. I think if you love games so much you should do something with it though. Something that has a need. I know you love the Vectrex and one thing that no one has been able to do is keep up with all the homebrew activity in the Vectrex commmunity. Maybe a blog with videos or pictures. Two things no one on any forum has really talked about is that Der Luchs has Freigeist listed on his site with a screenshot and Binarystar has Hex coupled with Reactor on his site.
  23. Unfortunately, I think that it is Andrew Coleman's City Bomber, though I believe its a very early version. The version I have is different in a few ways but the title screen has the same logo, the plane is the same, the scoring is the same but I do notice that the title screen says "Written in 30 minutes" rather than "Andy Coleman 2007", buildings are drawn slightly different and there is no sound as the buildings are destroyed.
