  1. Activision might have done if Starmaster had been released on the 5200. My suspicion is that they wouldn't have dared to try since Star Raiders on the 5200 and 8-bit computer line really is damn near perfect. Many complain about the slow down when a ship blows up Star Raiders for the 8-bit line...but what do you expect! Hello! that is basically a 3-D particle explosion being done on hardware over 20 years old!!!

How is the Computer version that much better than console version? I had both, and I thought it was just graphics that was different.

Also... was either Star Raiders or Starmaster ever released to any 16-bit systems?

  2. 2 days later the guy said "i tested the game and now it doesnt work so I cant sell it to you" I called him several times and got the run around,, I request a pic of the game to prove he still had thinking the person who offered me 300 for it may have offered it to him as well! I think I got screwed out of it.. what should i do now??

Tell the seller you want the game even though it's not functional:

    - If he sells it to you, great.

    - If not, then he's lying... pure and simple. Then contact Ebay and tell them the seller sold the item away from Ebay to avoid fees. Ebay does not appreciate such behaviors.

  3. I went to an Electronics Boutique, and all they had were Sony 8Mb for $25. That seems a bit high

Yeah, but you'll never have to buy another savecard (unlike other systems...cough...Cube). My PS2 card is a 1.5 years old and still half empty.

Here's my list of "must haves" for the PS2:

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits

    Dance Dance Revolution Konamix

    Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2

    Ico

    Kingdom Hearts

    NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona

    Red Faction

    Rez

    Soul Edge/Blade

    Space Channel 5

    Tekken Tag Tournament

    Virtua Fighter Evolution

    Xenosaga

  4. Cool, thanks! Now I can watch the whole story. I *love* when games have secret self-playing modes. When I had an Amiga, I used to input the code, and just sit back and watch Dragon's Lair or Space Ace straight through.

I did get past that annoying boss today, but it was purely by luck. I still can't get the timing right for those tentacles, but I was able to survive with just one star.

I need to show this game to my mom and friends. They'll probably laugh out loud!

  5. No, there's much more to it, but I didn't want to spoil the story. The story basically revolves around Yuna and how to keep her from dying while fighting Sin. It's also discovered that Sin is not just some big whale, because he's part of the government's control system.

Well whatever. I liked the story. I played through it in only 3 days, because I was anxious to see how it ended.

  6. The Sphere System is just a linear line for most of the characters. So, don't worry about it and just keep leveling up along the linear path. By the time you reach a point where you can branch, you'll be almost done with the game.

And story, I don't why you don't like it. There's love, intrigue, and betrayal. I thought it was great.

  7. you hit 1000, you can gain back a diffuser.

Defuser? Funny. I always thought it was called a "water bucket" (hence the splashing sound). LOL! Follow the KISS principle... keep it simple.

And yeah, it's better to deliberately miss just before 1000 so the pace will slow down. How do I know? Larry Kaplan told me!

1.) How do you count to 26,0570?

    2.) Whats 50hz?

50 Hz = 50 Hertz = 50 cycles per second. That's how fast the PAL version of Kaboom runs, which means it's slower, which means it's also easier.

  8. that happened to a friend of mine, they took it to america and spent like 2 grand on stuff.  i think it shouldbe required to present ID when using credit cards or something, it would probably solve alot of problems

I agree. My credit card says, "DEMAND/ask for photo ID," but since the thief created a fake card, that didn't do any good.

Well whatever. Maybe I could change my address, and let the thief pay off my debt.

    ;)

  9. My relatives did the same thing when I had an Atari. "Here's your Christmas Present... I got you some tape for your Atari."

I think it's simple. They don't know what to call them. Imagine that someone just handed you a black box for the first time labeled "Pac-Man". You know it's not a tape... so what is it called? The term "cartridge" is unknown to most people.
