I meant CURRENT games... and for all systems.
-
Just played it yesterday. I was amazed by the sound and graphics. It's the best-looking game I've ever seen on a Cube or PS2 (although GT3 is quite beautiful too). Even the music was perfection. Too bad the game was so god-awful boring. And frustrating! I poked around on the first level doing stupid stuff like rescuing a whale and chasing a fish... and then I quit. The camera was annoying, the mini-games stupid, and the DVD is now on ebay. I believed the reviews about Ecco being an awesome game, but it's clear to me that these reviews were just oggling the beautiful T&A... er, polygons and bump-mapping. They neglected to mention how incredibly boring the actual game is.

Before you ask... she's 22.

I have a movie that uses both sides of the DVD. Are there any games out there that use both sides? Also, any games that use multiple DVDs? I'm aware of Resident Evil 3 using two 3" DVDs for the Cube. Any others?

there has to be something wrong with your argument. By your calculations, a CD with 700 MB of data on it would be just slightly less than 4 megabytes. (rolls eyes) (restrains self from making rude comments) A 700MB CD is 700 megabytes. Got it? 12 inches or 1 foot... which is bigger? That's what this megabit/byte discussion is all about. 512 megabits = 64 megabytes. 12 inches = 1 foot. SAME DIFFERENCE. So, a quick review: RE2-N64=64 megabytes/512 megabits. PS1 CD = 700 megabytes/5600 megabits PS2 DVD=8.5 gigabytes/8500 megabytes/68,000 megabits Different ways of saying exactly the same thing. 12 inches or 1 foot. Same.

Good Luck. People don't give away money for free. They want a service in exchange.

Am I the only person that didn't like Wind Waker?

Sorry, already sold mine on ebay for $55 (yes someone was that dumb). -
Difference between 2D, 2.5D, and 3D?
RCmodeler replied to RCmodeler's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I don't consider any game to be 3D unless it used polygons in it. Not Spy vs. Spy. Not Last Ninja. They are flat 2D games that give the *illusion* of 3D. IMHO. -
Your thoughts please on these GameCube games

GOOD Luigi's Mansion Metroid Prime (albeit too long) Eternal Darkness (the best Cube game IMHO) Monkey Ball 1 (fun!) Super Smash Brothers (not good by yourself) TimeSplitters 2 EHHH... SAVE YOUR MONEY Starfox Adventures (not bad... but not good either) BAD Super Mario Sunshine (as boring as washing my car) Zelda: The Wind Waker (too easy for anyone over age 10) Animal Crossing (get a life!!!) DON'T KNOW Wario World (already bought it but can't play it yet!) Mario Kart: Double Dash Namco Museum Ikaruga Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee The couple of Frogger-themed games that are out Mario Party 4 & 5 Defender (I'm a little worried about this one) -
Is it okay to admire the girls in games? Or it is sick?

Hmmmm... I'm really starting to like Foxy Cleopatra's frankness. Anyway your breasts are probably sore from tearing of supportive tissue while jumping. The penis is nothing but spongiform tissue and therefore extremely flexible. It can be bent in half with no damage. -

Soooo.... What is Luigi's Mansion? To me it's movement is like the 8-bit Spy vs. Spy which was a 2D game. -
I agree 100%. Piracy is an issue for primitive systems like Super Nintendo and Gameboy Advance (mainly through emulation), but for modern systems like PS2/Box/Cube it's too difficult. 99.9% of gamers won't bother. It's faster and easier to just buy the game. So for modern systems piracy is not an issue. Stop listening to corporate whining... er, propaganda.

None of these suits have ever won. "Same Look and feel" is not enough.

I haven't played F-zero GX yet for my Cube. How does it compare? -
So.... what is the data density of a punchcard? 1 kilobyte per card? Probably less than that. When you think about, a CD/DVD is much like a punchcard: It's read with a light source, and the 0's and 1's are stored as holes/pits in the surface of the media.

Ditto, but I chose the Black one.

Does anyone have a jacket filled with gaming patches? I think they'd be awesome!

Sounds like the Nintendo campaign: "Who Are You?" I'm a gamer too. As long as I have my ROMS, and can play them, I have no interest in the hardware.

Sorry, but the FIRST role-playing game did not hit consoles until Final Fantasy 1. All the other games mentioned here (ET, Raiders, Adventure) are adventures. *No stats* which is a mandatory component for a true RPG. Final Fantasy 1 on the Original Nintendo was the first stat-based role-playing game. (Dungeons & Dragons on Intellivision might qualify, but I don't know since I've never played the game. It might just be another dumbed-down adventure game.)

I remember reading about them in Atari Age magazine. They recognized the best games of the previous year. So, what happened to them? Did the organization go bankrupt? Is there a modern equivalent (not Spike)?
-
I'm confused. I've heard people refer to: 2D = Castlevania: SOTN, Capcom vs. SNK 2.5D= Pac-Man World 1/Ms. Pacman Maze Madness, Luigi's Mansion 3D = Mario 64, Spyro Why is Pac-Man World not 3D? What does 2.5D mean? How is Luigi's Mansion 2.5D when it's similar in style/gameplay to the 2D Spy vs. Spy?
-
Capcom vs SNK 2: Worth buying? I can't make up my mind.

Are there any other good 2D fighters? Like Marvel vs. DC (or something such title)? -
Piracy did not affect Sega. Sega affected Sega (because of their stupid marketing/jerking around the gamers). You can't treat your customers like crap and expect no consequences. Dreamcast flopped because of Sega's previous bad customer service (Megadrive & Saturn). People grew tired of it and boycotted the DC. (I wonder if EBgames will learn that lesson before they go bankrupt?)
