Well first off, it IS criticism. You are making assumptions that I'm some sort of ripoff artist. This is the same as that jackoff who accused me of selling stolen items with my "sealed games" on ebay. It's highly insulting. . EBgames sells games as "brand new" but they are not sealed. I took the idea from them. Besides, all that matters is the customer and THEY are satisfied with what they got. Look at all the positive feedbacks on those not-sealed, but still brand-new games. Same as EBgames. . I sold TWO VCRs. One was sold successfully to Colorado. The customer emailed, "I got it!" so I figured the sale was done. Then suddenly a month later he LIED to paypal, and he told them that he never received it. Charged-back. So I lost $90 & a VCR to a scam artist. (He never left feedback for me) The second one was sent to wrong address, and I gave him a refund. (Actually, paypal gave him a double refund.) I made a mistake, and I fixed the mistake. I'm not perfect. End of story. . As for "Fee avoidance" I don't give a damn. Ebay did nothing to that scam artist who stole my VCR #1 without paying for it. I figure they owe me about $90 for not having a "seller protection policy".

I've been posting on Digital Press for over 6 months now... and no one knows who I am. Which is good, because there are no trolls following me around and harassing me. Back in August I sold a VCR to a customer for $90, the customer paid, and then I shipped it. About a month later, the customer charged it back, because they claimed it wasn't delievered. I emailed to see what was wrong, but of course the customer did not respond. It was obviously a scam. I tried to get paypal or ebay to do something, but they did nothing. They assumed that I was guilty simply because I did not use delivery confirmation. i.e. "Guilty until proven innocent"... the exact opposite of how it should be. . A second time my house was flooded and the game damaged, so I gave the customer a refund... and stupid paypal subtracted the funds twice! No big deal. Sometimes my credit card gets charged twice, so I just call the company and get the error fixed. NOT PAYPAL. I complained and Paypal once again did nothing. Fortunately this time I was dealing with an honest buyer. He returned the money. . So have you got stories?

P.S. If my last message sounds like I'm pissed, it's because I am. I DON'T WANT TO SELL MY COLLECTION. I'm being forced to because of lack of money.

The shipping fee = $5 is listed clearly on the page. How can they claim they "don't know" about it? (scratching head) Also, I recently sold a bottle of conditioner for $0.01. That's right. 1 single cent. The reason I can do that is because I cover my expenses in the shipping/handling fee: ~$2 shipping ~$1 envelope + supplies like foam peanuts, scotch tape, gasoline ~$2 or Ebay listing/commission fee ============ $5 TOTAL The shipping/handing fee of $5 allows me to sell an item for 1 cent and not lose money. Yeah I know, some of you think I should include my fees in the pricetag. Well, I'm glad you think that, but it's just YOUR OPINION. My opinion is different, and I'm not "wrong" to think as I do... after all it IS my business.. I just take different approach. . And to repeat: The bidders can't claim to "not know" about the $5 fee. It's right there in front of their faces.

(shrug) You can't please everyone. Like the customer I had a few months ago who was complaing that she could not use her VISA to pay off her JCPenney card. The Store Manager talked to her for a while, and then decided to throw her out. Some buyers are just stupid. "The masses are asses." I figure as long as someone's rating is above 90%, they are still worth dealing with. Just (shrug) and forget about it. . ASIDE: I'd like to see Ebay add an email notification service. That way when someone leaves feedback, it will instantly forward the email to your inbox. Another Advantage: When you leave positive feedback for your buyer, it will remind them to do the same for you.

I reviewed my feedback. It has: (1) A person who did not get his VCR. (2) People who bought a game and did not pay. (3) A person who complained my shipping fee was too high. (4) A person who looked at the *manufactured* date and assumed it was an expiration. (1) was my fault because I shipped to the wrong place. (2) is the fault of the dumbass buyers for not paying me. (3) is the fault of the buyer for not reading the entire description, including shipping fees. (4) is just stupidity of the buyer. I deserved one negative, but the others were merely dumbass bidders. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about... and I'm sure you have received negs that you did not deserve. 95% is my overall rating which is very good in my opinion. An "A" in school terminology.

Add in the Ebay listing fee, final value fee, the price of the box, shipping paper, shipping tape, and the guy's gas to drive the thing to the post office.... then no, you were not overcharged.

My attempt to buy low ($5-10 from stores going out of business)... and sell high on ebay ($15 or higher)... pretty much failed. Oh well. So much for my career as a video game businessman. I made money on the sports titles, but the other titles sold for about $10-11... which is what I originally paid. I only made a few cents per game. It provides very VALID reasons for not accepting credit cards. Simple. Let's say Pizza Hut charges $10 for a pizza, but you never got it. You charge back the $10. At the end of the month when your credit card company pays Pizza Hut, they just subtract $10 from the total. And the reason paypal can't do it is because the criminal has deleted his bank account, credit account, and other sources of money. No money... no refunds.

Gee, don't know, could it be the PayPal logo with credit cards displayed in your auctions under "Payment methods accepted"? Fair enough. QUESTION: Is there a way to display the PayPal without the credit card logo? If there is, please share. People have brains, but they don't use them. Like the lady who complained that the "REEBOKS - 50% OFF" sign should apply to Nikes, and demanded I give her the sale price on Nikes too. I'm sorry, but that's sheer stupidity on the part of the customer. And I don't see anything wrong with that observation.
