I suspect the *original* seller just swiped that picture from another auction, edited it, and then uploaded it to Ebay. That's why the picture does not match the system.

Hmmmm... okay let me be more specific:
F-zero X was replaced by F-zero GX
Mario Kart 64 was replaced by Mario Kart Double Dash
Goldeneye was replaced by modern FPSes (like Red Faction)
There's no reason to play these older N64 games when they've been replaced by equivalent games on the Cube with far superior graphics. Most gamers will forget about the N64 versions.
Unique games like Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time have not been replaced with better versions, so they'll still be remembered.
-
P.S. He paid me, but he used a credit card... which I can not accept. So right now I have no money in my pocket.
QUOTE: "PLEASE NOTE: I do not accept credit cards" Apparently this guy is illiterate. I wonder why it is I always get the idiot buyers who can't follow directions?

Many of the N64 games have been replaced by later, better versions. Like Fzero X was replaced by the Cube version. Ditto Smash Brothers & Mario Kart & Goldeneye. These old N64 games are worthless now that we have the same game in higher-quality graphics.
However, the "unique" games like Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie and Paper Mario will become classics that never die, and I'm sure we'll see ports of these games to the Gameboy 3D around ~2010.

This guy doesn't have much of a grasp of the market, does he? It's a given that ALL games based on movies have been pretty lousy. You can't change a perception of movie licensed games that's been going on for 20 years.Raiders of the Lost Ark was good. Goldeneye was good. I'm sure there were others that I just can't remember right now.

Yes, you should buy it. From me. Cheap.

Cheat? How so? I thought the police AI was rather stupid (like running directly into a pole).

What's a megadrive?
I love the tracks... racing across a schooldesk...racing across a breakfast table... racing across textbooks... it's just like school!
One flaw I've noticed with the N64 version is the camera, because it will suddenly move 90 degrees and mess up your steering. As usual. I wish companies would design better cameras. -
I saw on another auction site (I think it was yahoo) where the auction ends at a specific time or 5 minutes after last bid I think. That sounds like a good idea to me. It would allow bidders to keep outbidding one another until they ran out of money.
Also, that's how REAL auctions work. If you go to a Christie's auction, the bidding continues indefinitely until a final price is reached.Yes, ebay should install that option.

I sold a Nintendo 64... console only, no parts. Even the 7800 base would have some value.
I always thought the 7800 joysticks were cool. I like the knob on top that resembles an arcade stick. I could never understand why people didn't like that controller.

The bidder is from Canada. The listing clearly states "Will ship to United States only" but the bidder chose to ignore that. In response I said, "I prefer not to ship to Canada, however if you are willing to pay an extra $5 surcharge to cover international shipping, then I will sell the game to you."
The buyer has responded by paying me... but he did not include the extra $5. He refuses to pay the higher cost of international shipping, and I'm afraid he will leave negative feedback.
How would YOU deal with it?

Thanks...
...and I've tried Project Tempest, but it does not work very well. It only runs about 25% of the Jaguar games, and the sound is terrible. Is there a better Jaguar alternative?
(Later)
I reviewed the N64 screenshots. F-zero looks pretty awesome, but I think I'll stick with the Cube version.
Does the N64 version have the same gameplay as the Cube version (energy-refilling pits, sharp 90 degree corners, et cetera)? -
I can't get F-zero to work... which is rather frustrating because I wanted to compare my Gamecube version to the N64 version. Oh well.
-
The game's not really hard. I was able to reach 75% without any problem.
-
Wow... that many!
Well I'm using Nemu64 right now. It plays about 25% of the games. -
The humans I play usually don't know how to play the games, so I smash them to pieces. For that reason, I prefer the Computer opponent.
-
I was just playing MicroMachines Racing for the N64, and I LOVE this game. Nintendo needs to update it for the Cube!

Not everyone works out what they have to do soon enough (ahem, like me) and so not everyone does it w/o dying.IMHO, a boss should be hard to beat even if you know how to do it. Like Ganandorf in Ocarina. Even though I know HOW to beat him, it's still difficult. That's why I keep fighting him over-and-over... just for fun!
The Ganandorf in Wind Waker is so easy that I feel no desire to play him again.

Unbelievable. Stealing?!?!?!? (shaking head) I don't even know how to respond to that accusation. It's just... extremely... extremely... insulting.
ANSWER:
Buy low ($5-10 from stores going out of business) and sell high ($15 or more). Like Donald Trump's real estate.
I need income. So I did this.
And I don't take unemployment or welfare. I consider that to be stealing from my neighbors' paychecks. My nieghbors worked hard for that money... I have no right to take it for myself.
-
I give the buyer one week. If they still do not respond, I issue a non-paying buyer alert. 50% of the time that wakes them up and they start talking to me, but the other 50% I end up leaving negative feedback.
I've issued "second chance offers" but have never received a response. I think it's probably better to just relist the item.

You mean the data is stored ON the underside of the label? Interesting. Also, quite dumb. I'm surprised they would leave the data exposed like that... too vulnerable to damage.
But wait... I have a DVD that is double-sided. It has no label. I guess it has two separate layers embedded *inside* the disc. Well whatever.
I am very anal retentive about my discs. I won't let anyone touch them except myself, because I don't want them damaged by carelessness.

I thought the final fight sucked. I spent hours and hours "leveling up" with finding hearts and carrying fairies in bottles...
...and then the final boss turns out to be a total wimp. I didn't even die once.
Lame.
Yeah, it was cool to watch the scene off my S-VHS tape (I recorded it). Like a good anime. But I wanted more challenge. Like Ocarina's or FF10's or FF7's final fight.

I don't want a blue Cube to attract attention when bringing over a date:
ME: "Come in... have a seat."
HER:"What's that blue thing?"
ME: "A GameCube."
HER: "You mean you're 31 years old and still play video games???"
ME: "Uh yeah... hey where are you going?"
HER: "I date men, not children."
Better to have a black Cube that blends into the entertainment center and does not attract attention to itself.

Mario 64 is basically a bunch of mini-games (7 in each world). Each time you beat the minigame you win a star. When you get ~70 stars you can fight Bowzer and save the Princess. My favorite part of Mario 64 is the music. It's fun to hear the classic tunes as you wander around the various levels.
And YES, there are two games that manage to equal or exceed Mario 64. Those are Banjo-Kazooie and Ratchet & Clank.
And NO, Sunshine was not a fun game. You go around washing stuff... too much like washing my car... too much like work.

How to deal with problem buyer?

The issue is the cost. If Canadians were willing to pay the extra cost, I would be *thrilled* to sell to them. However, most complain about it and/or refuse to pay. So, I decided it's easier to just exclude them.
With 280 million people, the United States is a big enough market that I don't need to deal with non-paying Canadians... like the guy in my current auction.
