  1. When my grandma died, we found lots of old can in her basement. The cans looked like metal ballons, and some had exploded, due to the rotten food inside. I'm amazed this Pac-Man pasta has not met the same fate. I'm sure I would not eat it!
  2. After I left here, I searched the net for Ben-Wa Balls. These were originally invented by Chinese or Japanese women (no one's sure), and they consisted of a hollow ball filled with a smaller ball inside. The hollow ball is inserted into a woman's vagina, and the smaller ball bouncing around in the larger ball creates stimulation. And the name of the Pac-Man party game is Pac-Man Fever. It plays similar to Mario Party, but no where near as good. And finally, a "party game" is a game that consists of lots of minigames. The person who wins the most minigames is the Overall Winner.
  3. No. You see in FF10-2, Yuna can change jobs. A Songstress, a Gunner, a White Mage, a Black Mage, a Warrior, a Thief, a Dark Knight, a Samurai, an Animal Trainer, a Gambler, ... yada yada yada... so Yuna's not changing. Just her job. Yuna is still the same person. Same applies to Rikku and Paine. They can change their jobs at any point. And yes, FF10-2 uses a system very similar to FF 4 through 9's Active Time Battle. It's a return to the series' traditional battle engine.
  4. The Atari name has ALWAYS been cheapened. Let's face it, that company was F***ed up, and it never did anything truly admirable. It mis-treated its employees, made lousy ports of arcade classics, and wasted billions of dollars on stupid business decisions. If anything, Infogrames has *improved* the Atari legend rather than damaging it.
  5. Yeah, I listed the name in Message #1. What are Ben-Wai balls? (scratching head) Well, I recommended DDR and Space Channel 5. That's good enough for parties.
  6. Well, Commodore was the most popular computer ever built (30 million I think?), so there's definitely a market there for a Commodore/Activision Anthology. I'm sure it would sell quite well. As for Colecovision or Intellivision, those userbases were very small. Such a collection would flop. So maybe Activision can put those consoles on the Commodore/Activision DVD as a bonus.
  7. You moved your stuff to a barn that was on THEIR property????? I'm sorry, but that was just plain stupid. You should have moved the stuff to your parents' house or your friends' house or a Storage Company. Leaving your stuff behind in the hands of strangers is equivalent to abandoning it. (shrug) Well... I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but I kinda think you are a victim of yourself. Hopefully a lawyer can work to get your stuff back.
  8. Great game! I consider it a "must buy" for the Cube, and I totally enjoyed the retro-style side perspective. We need more games like Luigi's
  9. I'm looking for a Japanese girl who likes party-style games... neither Pac-Man Fever or Monopoly Party got good reviews. Is there another option? [EDIT: a "party game" is a game that consists of lots of minigames. The person who wins the most minigames is the Overall Winner]
  10. This is the statement that set me off. Obviously I need to stop letting delusional fanboys like this one make me angry. Maybe I'll go sign up for anger management classes. Of course, being laid off from work is not something to cheer about. What a wonderful Christmas present. As for banning, the rudest person on the forum BY FAR is Foxy Cleopatra. She treats everyone like shit. If she gets banned, then I'll start to worry.
  11. . Here's another good site: http://www.vgtalk.com
  12. Go to a trade show, and you can get tons of these bags for FREE. I've got so many in my closet I could open a store.
  13. http://dealnews.com/sections/video_games.h...316e9c258e9bc41 http://www.cheapassgamer.com/mt/ Are there any others?
  14. It costs $2 to ship a book in the U.S. It costs $10 to ship the same book to Canada. *That's* why ebayers don't ship to Canada... they don't want to lose money.
  15. I don't care. I'm sick of the fanboys. ALL the systems have something worthwhile. Anyone who says, "XXX is crap system," is being dishonest to both us and themselves.
  16. It's not just kids. I used to trade music CDs with a college friend (~age 18). Then I noticed all his CDs played like scratched records (yes static, pops, and skips), so I paid attention to how he stored his CDs. Answer: He did not. He was too lazy to put his CDs back in the case. Instead he laid them upside down and dropped textbooks on top of them! What a dumbass. If you're going to spend money for something, at least take care of it. I've got CDs dating to 1990 that still look brand-new, because I don't want to waste my money buying new ones.
  17. And because Sony didn't want to include a BIOS routine for memory card emulation. It's possible to do that? That would be cool if I could save my Final Fantasy 7 games on PS2 cards. (Oh, and PS1 saves still only use 8K when copied to a PS2 card.)
  18. Messages like this piss me off. It's nothing but blatant fanboyish. (What's next? You'll start a Dodge sucks and Ford rocks redneck debate?) Fact is: Every criticism you stated ALSO applies to the Cube: I couldn't care less for any on CUBE apart from Metroid, Eternal Darkness, and Monkey Ball. Zelda has gone way off the boil now, Fzero Cube is merely Fzero N64 with slightly better graphics, and Mario Sunshine is dopey mind fodder for the masses with no real overall appeal. See? Same flaws for the Cube. Take your anti-PS2 (or Cube/Box) fanboy fanaticism somewhere else. It's sickening. .
  19. The more I read messages like this, the more I think you guys must be incredibly poor. Seriously. You probably spend around $1000 a month on rent, mortgage, food, heat, phone, internet, gas for the car, insurance for the car, et cetera. ~$1000 a month. ~$12,000 a year. You can't afford a measly $35 for an Atari???
  20. I think SquareTrade's a waste. A buyer mailed me a bounced check, and then refused to pay. So I opened a case with SquareTrade, but the buyer refused to participate. So, the result was nothing.
  21. Why do the hackers use "2600" for their title? I call it "the Atari" or "Original Atari". I wish Atari had not used numbers for their system, but instead just named them like GameCube, Playstation, et cetera.
  22. (cough) No it doesn't. The Cube doesn't have Space Channel 5, Dance Dance Revolution, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Vice City, Xenosaga, Ico, Rez, ... yada yada yada... nor does it play all the old classics like Xenogears, FF Tactics, Chrono Cross, Parasite Eve. I can not imagine life without a PS2 or without those games. Okay, "must haves" for GameCube: Wind Waker - too easy, but still worth playing once Metroid Prime - sheer perfection Eternal Darkness - best horror game ever Super Smash Brothers - not good by yourself, but fantastic with friends TimeSplitters Soul Calibur Super Monkey Ball 2 Red Faction - (I'm not sure if this is PS2-exclusive or not... if not, buy it) Also, get a Gameboy Player. .
  23. Yes, shipping to Canada is ridiculous. I shipped a box of books to Canada... cost $20. So I asked, "What if I shipped to Maine... same distance but still within the U.S.?" The answer was $9. So I can understand why companies charge international rates for Canada: It's because the post office charges such ridiculously high rates. .
