W10 question: I'm working on someone's laptop and they said it put up a blue pulsating screen that said "Do not turn of your PC" so they panicked and did. Now it's hosed.

  yes, it does do pulsating blue screens. MS will never learn. Don't use blue! it's associated with crashes!

  Yeah, a HD scan came up clean. This is what happens when you change the UI every few years. The average PC user is only barely computer literate.

  Screen says don't turn off, so they turned it off. omfg It was probably updating. I can't imagine anything more clearer than "don't turn off your pc." And the color is based on the user's color choice.
