    I just got done hosting a retro game party for our university's new Computer Science Club!  The systems (all from my collection) were: 2600 and 5200, Intellivision, Odyssey2, Jaguar, NES (a RetroUSB AVS, actually), SMS, and LOTS of original games and peripherals.  I think everybody had fun, but it was exhausting hauling in all that stuff and packing it up afterward!

    It only JUST occurred to me. All my life I've been saying "Zed-80" and "6502", whereas probably most Americans say "Zee-80". Never thought about it before... how weird... "zee 80" WTF is that?

      Yeah, but Zed sounds wrong here too. ? Imagine another letter, like calling D Ded or T Ted.

      I was probably in my 30s before I heard that Z was called zed in other places. And we do already have too many other letter names that end in a long E sound (B,C,D,E,G,P,T,V).

    A quick Jr. Pac-Man question: I've noticed significant differences between the sound effects on the 800 and 5200 versions of Jr. Pac-Man (the 5200 version sounds much better). Is the 800 version that's been floating around broken? I'd love to find one that matches the 5200 sound effects.

      Usually, 5200 ports with bad sound means Pokey isn't properly initialized. Sticking a register wipe in the startup fixes it.

      The problem is always that FB is powerful and the people benefiting from their data are powerful. Add to that that most people don't seem to care, and it becomes a very difficult thing to prosecute.

      It seems to me that a brick and mortar store could compete with an online retailer in the same category, but when you've got one massive seller covering all categories and growing by the day, there's not much chance, especially for things that ship easily and you don't need instantly.
