All good. I've got them all ripped previously and saved as ISO or Bin/Cue. I have no issues waiting until the program is released, but didn;t know if I should even bother with it if the GD will read ISO or Bin/Cue.

It won’t read them.  Saint has a proprietary format for the files.  His conversion tool will convert the images to the correct format.

To make sure I am understanding this correctly, if I ad a rip of one of my Jag CD games in either ISO or BIN/CUE it will NOT load on the Jag GD? I would have to rip them with Clone CD and they need to be in what format?

From watching this video there is a conversion tool not yet released which per the video mentioned it will convert them to .JCP I can always wait for the conversion took but wanted to know what toher formats are able to be used in the meantime.

Until Saint releases a new update to the GD, it doesn’t support CD game play.  In his tweets, he indicated that his conversion tool will support CloneCD.  No other information has be provided since.  The best guess is the appropriate way to rip the cd’s is with the data option, but until it is released and Saint gives the official information, you’re own you own :)

No offence, but aren't folks jumping the gun a little bit?  I'm waiting for there to be an official announcement from SainT that includes details as to file formats, etc.  What's the point of putting in a lot of effort ripping CDs if you guess wrong?

Hey, it gives us something to do :).  Saint did say his conversion tool supports clonecd so in case I got it right, I now have 20 CD games converted :)

Just to be clear, they need to be in the .ccd format? As opposed to ISO, Bin/Cue, etc.? That seems to be the format what I have so far is in.

I'm not converting my own yet, but do have a lifetime license for Clone CD and wanna know how when needed!

Saint said that his tool supported CloneCD.  He told me today on Twitter that it will convert ccd and cdi image files.  CCD is CloneCD.  CDI I think is Diskjuggler.

It looks like the proper selection is data, not audio.  Next question, on a lot of my game cd’s I get a couple of sector read errors.  Is this normal?  I can’t believe that I have that many games going bad.

I think the bad sector reads are due to copy protection.  Is there anyway around this or will this not cause a problem with use on the GD?

I played, honestly just long enough to test, 5-10 mins, and didn't notice any difference compared to my cartridge. Using spinner on port 1, swapping controllers as soon as I use my regular controller to select the game.
Some Spinners have D-pads as well but mine doesn't.
SainT said a firmware update will allow you to pick it with the numpad if you don't have a Dpad on your spinner.
But no issues for me... I've also used a mouse on other games with no problem, as well as the spinner on Arkanoid.

Edit: I guess I should ask, is it from the start, or does it happen off and on? I can test further this weekend most likely if needed.

Mine has the Dpad.  The spinner is on the back and it has a switch to go between dpad and spinner.  But when I use the spinner with the GD the thingy spins sporadically around the playing field.  If I turn it back to the dpad, the dpad works perfectly.  Using the tempest 2000 cart, I have no problems at all.  I wonder if it could be the rom file, though the fact the game runs perfectly using the dpad seems to negate an issue with the rom.
