Cool game, never played it before. I don't really remember it from the arcade either. I was a big Lunar Lander fan and this game reminds me alot of that one, of course with more shooting!! I'm gonna have to look this one up on MAME. It's pretty tough after the first galaxy though. Best I could muster tonight was 15,450. - Sal

Well this is one I don't have, and from I've read so far a ROM is not available, so I guess I'm out of this one. As for the ties for first I would agree with Sly. Anyone that maxes out the score should be entitled to 1st place points. - Sal

151,100 - my personal best so far..... Even though it is late in the game, here are two tips: I find it easier to jump over a fireball when I run TORWARDS it. Seems running away always gets me mowed down. Also, I found that when things start getting fast (level 10 and up) get to an open spot below (so you can jump if need be) and sit and watch the fireballs because there is a pattern to which level they show up on. Once you have the pattern down you can predict when the fireball will show up on a particular level. - Sal

Also, I thought that bumping the freeze guys and preventing a level jump to rack up easy points was prohibited in this competion?? I realize that on some levels up past 10 things start to get really hectic and it is tempting to just keep nailing only the freeze guys, but I've been refraining from doing that as per the rules of this competion. I realize that if your timing is off it takes some time to get that last critter to cause a level jump to happen and a lot of freeze guys come out due to this. To specifically do this was banned as per tip # 7 in the first post of this thread. - Sal

Wow, I don't know how people are breaking over 100K on this game!! Todd Rodgers certainly adds some great competition (and the impossibility of of 1st place for everyone else!!!) to this . Well the best I've pulled out so far is 104,700. - Sal

SVASILE I'm pretty much buying up mostly sealed stuff right now, cheap sealed stuff!!! Don't think I've spent more then $25 for a sealed cart yet. I also keep an eye out for boxed hardware that is complete. I've been switching between platforms, right now I've been focusing on Jag and Lynx. I will probably swing back the 2600 opened boxed carts because I have most of the common sealed stuff right now. - Sal

100,500 Decided to put myself on the board once I broke 100K. I never owned this game, but I do remember playing this one on my cousins 5200. That version is closer to the arcade version, but I (like Ze_ro) found the 2600 version graphically surprising. In anycase, seeing the most recent scores being posted it looks like this one is going to be tough to break into the top 10! Go Stan!! - Sal

Well I gave the emulator a try and didn't do too bad, but I couldn't break 1:25. My first game (in over 20 years mind you!) was over the 7 minute mark. The best I got down to was 1:27 before I realized it was 3:30 am!!!! Boy does the wrist begin to hurt trying to use the arrow keys to control Sups! If I break the 1:10 mark I'll post a screen shot. - Sal

Wow, I just stumbled across this thread tonight. Sups was one of my all time favorites back in the day. I rememeber my best score was under a minute(no proof of course!), but like others have said I think it was due to luck with the thugs all being at the jail screen and with that timer glitch. It's great to see everyone having fun in this friendly competion. All my units and carts are packed away (guess I'm truely a collector!) and my original heavy sixer is still over my parents house, where I left it many moons ago! So, I don't have unit to play this on which I think this game truely needs to be done right. Playing on a PC with an emulator is not as easy as with a joystick, so all of you getting great scores playing that way I give you props! Only two days left, maybe I'll give the emulator a try anyway...... !!! - Sal

Um, I just checked out the Barbie section on eBay. Did you know there are over 30,000 items listed between vintage and contemporary catagories!!! And the prices are astonishing. Makes me wish I raided my sisters Barbies from my parents attic!!! Of course I quickly went on to the Big Jim and G.I. Joe "action figure" section to relive some of my childhood memories!! - Sal

Yeah I was watching this one too. I figured it would go to about $40-50, boy was I shocked when I saw the ending price!!! I mean rarity 6 is rare but I don't think it's $150 rare! This could have been a situation where the last two people put in a high bid at the last minute to assure themselves the win and getting zinged!! Sometimes the strategy works and sometimes like in this case it could have bit them. Of course maybe they just really wanted it! - Sal
