  1. 126,000. Getting into a groove with this game. Can I do better...not really sure!!! Anyway, @ no attack....no need to be jealous at Todd, the guy is superhuman when it comes to these games!!! Also, no need to mistrust his abilities, just take a look on Twin Galaxies and you will no longer doubt his abilities when you see all the records he holds (and they have the videos to prove it). It would be cool to see him in action. I've seen some pics of him in some old circa 1980's mags and most recently in Video Game Collectior issue 2 (circa 1982 with Barbie Benton..va va va voom!!) but to see him in action must be amazing! - Sal
  2. 78,000 was the best I could muster tonight. As promised the pic is below! - Sal
  3. Here is probably an obvious tip, but keep an eye on your sight bar in the middle of the screen. When it turns yellow over an enemy, fire. Your chances of hitting something are much better if you wait until it changes to yellow. - Sal
  4. Anyone know how to get a screenshot in Cyberstella??? There isn't much in the way of help screens. Thanks, - Sal
  5. First stab at it....got 48,000 after several hours!! Sorry no pic this time, to lazy to pull out the carmera and find some batteries. Next time there will be a picture. - Saldo
  6. 18,120...not enough for the top 10, but my best for the week. - Sal
  7. 13,650 Sorry no pic this time.....I accidently hit ESC and lost the high score. I'll beat this and get a pic next time! - Sal
  8. 8570, my first go around. I never really was a fan of Frogger, but this version is pretty descent. - Sal
  9. Well at little better - 4819....but I see everyone else got "a little better" also!!! Also, great going once again Todd!!! What amazes me is the fact that Todd is fantastic at every game!!! He truely is inhuman! - Sal
  10. 3713. Waiting to see what Todd posts....... -Sal
  11. Hah! I was waiting for Todd to post! The bar is way beyond my means! - Sal
  12. 11568. Damn keilbaca...I struggled to get this score thinking I'd be happy breaking 10K by the end of the week....you've really set the bar!! - Sal
  13. Well my parents didn't get rid of my gear. I still have the ole heavy sixer Sunnyvale from 78-79 (that wasd a great Christmas!) and all the games. The worst thing is that I had all the boxes up until about 2001 when I threw them out!!! Yes, it was me. My mom was cleaning out my old closet where the boxes were and asked if I could get rid of them. Well this was before I found AtariAge and didn't realize people were actually collecting these old games, so of course I said sure I'll throw them out!!! At least I still have all the hardware, and now I know better! - Sal
  14. Did anyone view the other comercials on the site?? It's pretty cool to be able to view them. I honestly don't remember any of them, well execpt for thet one for E.T.!!! Can anyone verify if the girl in the American ads entitled "Everything I/Paul" is Elizabeth Shue, and the little girl in the Family ads entitled "Grandpa" is Alyssa Milano?? The look like them to me and their ages would be appropriate for the times. - Sal
  15. Interesting game...never played this one before. Got 3,014 without knowing what the hell I'm doing. Better read up on this one! - Sal Sorry, no pic on this one I'm playing on Cyberstella and I didn't see an option for a screen shot. Will switch to another EMU later.
  16. Oh my god you guys are killing me!!! Between this and the "50 ALL TIME WORST SONGS" show I watched yesterday on VH1 my entire teenage musical up-bringing is shot to hell!! What's wrong hair bands?!! What the hell were we supposed to listen to Wham, Duran Duran, Madonna, or....gasp Boy George!!! No thanks I'll take the hair bands of that time anyday! Can't wait till you guys have to endure the same thing in about 15-20 years!! Journey did jump the shark and "sold out" with Escape, but isn't that the idea of a band...to make it BIG!!! Those guys not only made it big, but they do have talent unlike the boy-band fabrications, who suck but they are laughed all the way to the bank! Neal can play guitar, he is one of the better guitar plays of that era. Escape was very commercial, but look at any band from any era that had a big hit album and most burned bright for awhile and faded away, very few had staying power. For some classic Journey pull out "Infinity" from 1978 and their first album "Journey" from 1975 (pre Perry). In anycase I really wasn't a big fan of them back in the day (I do like them now though), Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, & Styx were my favorites. I listened to the tune in the game & I can't figure out what song that is. "Don't Stop Believing" is done pretty well, but that other song doesn't register. Logically it would have to be something from "Escape", but I listened to every song on the album (sorry CD!) and can't match it to any of them. Is there another song that plays later on in the higher levels of the game? Maybe that background music is just background music. - Sal
  17. A better score tonight, but I really don't know how I did it!!! 3894 I've been trying to follow the tips given so far with a little success. It's easier said than done! - Sal
  18. Little better tonight...not by much though. 2883 - Sal
  19. Haven't really given much time lately to the Club, but this game has caught my interest...looks like some long nights ahead! Here is my first post for the week: 2319. I see once again the pros are already maxing out the game. It sure is amazing how these guys do this consistantly on all (well most) of the games!!! Truely amazing, they are in a league of their own. - Sal
  20. A modesty begining..put me on the board!!! 36,880 - Sal
  21. I got back into Atari back around 2001. My company was shutting down so I had alot of time to surf the net. I first stumbled across arcade emulation with MAME and that got me looking around for real arcade machines (I don't own any yet..someday I'll own all the Atari Vector games!!). That led me to eBay which I used to kid my wife about her obsession with this auction site (and QVC). Eventually I found AtariAge and here I am. I pulled my original Sunnyvale out of my closet at my parents with about 43 games and began reliving my childhood!!! One thing I was pissed about was that about a year before that I had all the boxes for the games but I threw them out to make room in the closet for my mom!!! Mainly I just collect for the thrill of the next big find and the nostalgia, it's great fun. The High Score Club has really got me playing again. Anyway, I never progressed beyond the 2600. In 1983 I got a brand spanking new IBM Personal Computer to go to college with (Go 8088!!). After that PC gaming is all I did/do. The graphics and depth of game play on a PC can't be beat by any console (yeah I know it looks like they are getting very close but every next gen processor/video card keeps the PC ahead), which is why I don't own any console today (No PS1, PS2, or XBox). I do plan on collecting other older non-Atari systems as soon as I finish my Atari collection (2600/5200/7800/Jag/Lynx)......!!! - Sal
