Another tip:
If you are playing for a long time with your eyes focused on the TV screen, don't look away from the TV or the room will start to rise!

Thanks for the tips ghost....I though it was just me with my eyes bugging out on the screen after I shut down the emulator!!! The desktop picture on my PC would move up and down!!!
Also, while your tips are great accomplishing them is the hard part!!! I pretty much figured out if you can't get to the free paddle points without three paddles intact you might as well reset!

I just start playing this about an hour ago and damn is it hard!!! I'm playing with Cyberstella and it even emulates a set of jittery paddles with the mouse!!! I found this to be the best emulator to play this particular game on. I tried PCAEWIN, but as stated before it seemed to have problems with this game. Z26 just didn't have a good feel to the controls, and I just couldn't get the game going with MESS (the picture looked blurry also...no time to fiddle with the configs).
Anyway so far 861 is the best I could do so far.

Cool game, never played it before. I don't really remember it from the arcade either. I was a big Lunar Lander fan and this game reminds me alot of that one, of course with more shooting!! I'm gonna have to look this one up on MAME. It's pretty tough after the first galaxy though. Best I could muster tonight was 15,450.

Well this is one I don't have, and from I've read so far a ROM is not available, so I guess I'm out of this one. As for the ties for first I would agree with Sly. Anyone that maxes out the score should be entitled to 1st place points.

151,100 - my personal best so far.....
Even though it is late in the game, here are two tips: I find it easier to jump over a fireball when I run TORWARDS it. Seems running away always gets me mowed down.
Also, I found that when things start getting fast (level 10 and up) get to an open spot below (so you can jump if need be) and sit and watch the fireballs because there is a pattern to which level they show up on. Once you have the pattern down you can predict when the fireball will show up on a particular level.

Also, I thought that bumping the freeze guys and preventing a level jump to rack up easy points was prohibited in this competion?? I realize that on some levels up past 10 things start to get really hectic and it is tempting to just keep nailing only the freeze guys, but I've been refraining from doing that as per the rules of this competion. I realize that if your timing is off it takes some time to get that last critter to cause a level jump to happen and a lot of freeze guys come out due to this. To specifically do this was banned as per tip # 7 in the first post of this thread.
