  1. I actually have one of the reproduction rambo boards from Lenore, and so i have been researching ways to get it running on my 65XE... but if that never works i'll just put it in an 800XL... Definitely let me know your findings...
  2. https://imgur.com/gallery/2FH8o Pics of the unit I'm trying to upgrade. So, no way to get a Rambo on here like on an 800XL?
  3. Still trying to figure out how to install a Rambo board in a 65XE NTSC system... i get the feeling it's possible somehow...
  4. I was trying to buy a 130xe from him, which would put me well over $200 Best, if you're reading this, no hard feelings. But if you want to take a "vacation", tell your customers straight up instead of dicking them around. Maybe I'll try again in a few months and ask NICELY over the phone I don't want to email him right now because he's probably sick of me bugging him LOL IF YOU HAVE that part laying around, I would be glad to do whatever it takes to get it.
  5. https://imgur.com/a/TeDJx So, my 800 space bar is missing one piece, a metal tab that supports one side. Does anyone have one or should I make it myself? I already asked best electronics and he said he had them for $8 but now he seems to be refusing to sell anything to me at all.
  6. maybe theres an equivalent point Isn't the 900XLF a somewhat repackaged 800XL? I have a feeling theres a way to get it working...
  7. if i cant get it to work, i'll pull it all out and sell it to somebody that has a 800XL that needs it. Worth a shot!
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/281845049992 would that work for this board?
  9. Hah, Great! i'm gonna buy one. Now I just need to figure out how to install it in my non-130XE motherboard 65XE.
  10. A Rambo board would be sweet. who is dropcheck?
  11. So it needs these products? There's no way to just slap on new chips oldschool style?
  12. I'm actually interested in building myself a collection of homemade bootleg cassette tape games. i gotta get some tapes on ebay!
  13. A really good version of asteroids that uses the keyboard to emulate the arcade version's controls. (the graphics don't have to be the same, it can take a 7800 approach, too) A more complete version of the real Star Raiders II A version of Tetris that can use keyboard controls, with the option to rotate your piece either direction. or perhaps the ability to hold a controller with a d pad in your left hand and use the keyboard with your right hand Super Mario Brothers Devil World Galaga Shinobi a digital encyclopedia like encarta a drag and drop style music composer that uses the joystick or a mouse, MIDI interface for POKEY, the ability to play the POKEY with a MIDI Keyboard... anything that uses some kind of system link, where you could link multiple A8 computers together for local network play. Direct dial games, multiplayer games modem to modem, perhaps even with text based chat using the keyboard..
  14. https://imgur.com/gallery/2FH8o This isn't a 130XE motherboard like some 65's. I'm looking for somebody experienced to cram as much RAM into this thing as possible. (will pay whatever it takes) However I don't know the full extent of the 65's upgradability. Most people just talk about upgrading XL's and 130XEs and 65XE's with 130XE mobos. Any leads would be much appreciated.
  15. Alright, i got it working. Weird how i cant seem to make this list the directory for the second drive though. i have to swap out the DOS disk with a different disk
  16. I've been trying to use atariwriter to produce a document but for whatever reason this cartridge is not able to save documents using AspeQt. all other programs work fine. I can use XLEnt to accomplish the same task but i'd like to at least get this atariwriter cartridge working. I'm testing this on a 48K 800 and 64k 65XE. Any ideas?
  17. and now i need new belts for my atari 410! time to make tapes!
  18. So I can use that to make cassettes from XEX games? Awesome now I can satisfy my need for physical media (even if it's just made from a ROM)
  19. I'm just thinking how cool it would be to put together a collection of homemade bootleg tapes.
  20. So I guess the best way to do this is to convert CAS files to WAV and feed them to a cassette recorder? I was hoping there was some kind of cassette copy utility out there for A8, where I could load a cassette, insert a different cassette and write to it.
  21. is there a way to take a .CAS cassette image and write it to an actual physical cassette using an Atari 410 with the SIO2PC? I'd like to collect cassette images and make physical copies to play on my system. Cassettes take a long time to load, but they're just cool as hell!
  22. I have one of these complete in box if anyone is interested...
  23. I'm trying to find an XC12! Anyone that has one lemme know and I will make you an offer (depending on condition) I can't seem to find one on eBay inside the USA.
  24. Anybody ever wonder why your ship moves so damn fast? compare it to the 7800 version... the 5200 conversion is hella twitchy
  25. I could also do with a quick and dirty solution to just make it better. I don't need RGB or new video output ports or anything I'm mainly looking for just more clarity from the stock monitor port... I've heard removing the RF helps.
